The match between  Spain and Belgium tonight is going to one of the most interesting match of the tournament,  so tough and captivating like the match of Brazil against Norway. Not only will it be entertaining, it is absolutely difficult to predict who will win because either of the sides can win the match. Spain have to be serious to withstand Belgium else we might see something similar to what Belgium did to the US.

It's seen too easy by bookies. In their head-to-heads I can say Spain have a serious dominance. But the last time they faced each other was 10 years ago!

After seeing how much Spain struggled against Portugal I don't think this would be easy either. Portugal are a better team than Belgium of course but still Spain aren't facing a weak one in the end. I'm with Spain win in regular time.

 I never expected no change in football cause it bound to happen, everything is now advance and we'll still witness more changes and policies in the future but the problem is cheating and being honest to favour a particular team, I believe that the new policies should favour all teams and not some.

 The VAR controversy is becoming something else, when it first came out I was happy that there would be reviews of fouls and stuff which would help stop referees controversy or poor decision making but it seems the VAR is now being used as a tool to cheat and favour some teams, they're gradually ruining the sports.

Initially, reforms like this will look appealing but as time goes on people will see the damage it is causing. Imagine that there was VAR during the time of Diego Maradona when he used his hand to score and called it " hand of God", it would have been chopped off after the review.
 Honestly, football isn't as fun as it used to be and now most people watch football just to watch their games they betted.

In my opinion, most people watch football out of a love for the game, not because of betting. There are people who watch football because they placed a bet, but they are in the minority. Many simply enjoy rooting for their favorite team, and they don't need betting for that.

As for the VAR system, it only improves the game. True, if it had existed a long time ago, we wouldn't have seen the Hand of God goal. But that is a very rare case where a rules infraction actually benefited the entertainment value of football. In most cases, missed fouls only ruin the game, and VAR successfully fights against that.

Well with previous performance from the two team I would have also called Spain to outrightly win the game but after seeing how they struggle in their last game against Portugal and also with Belgium last performance against USA makes that conclusion a little harder for me because I think this game can be of an upset for the bigger team which in this case is actually Spain but who am I when it comes to the affairs of football, I mean things can literally within a split second in the field of play.

You are right that France is doing very well, and beating everyone easily, and they are at semi finals now. I think that is clear that we are seeing a team that is much better than anyone else in the world.

Plus Mbappe is just very different when it comes to national team, for some reason he is exceptional there on every game, in the club he may look like he scores a lot but he scores against smaller teams bunch of times and then ghosts big games. Here, in his entire life, he has never been knocked out in world cup, dude is insane.

In the last three decades, France has been one of the best sides in the soccer world with their consistency and quality. They are producing good players who have enough potential to give good results against any opponent.

In the last game against Morocco, they completely outclassed them in the second half. Today's second game is going to start in a few minutes with Spain facing Belgium. Both are good sides with good players. Spain won all their games without conceding any goals. This is amazing stuff. Their attack is not good but they have good defense, which always keeps them at the top. Belgium usually has high-scoring games. This could be interesting because, for me, they could be the first team in this World Cup to score a goal against Spain.

It's surprising that Spain is trying to reach the FIFA World Cup semi-final for only the 2nd time, and the first time was in 2010. That is really strange for a team like Spain not to reach the quarterfinals and semifinals as often as other good teams do.

The game has started and in the initial 10 minutes, no team got any good chance for a goal but it is very much visible that Spain is dominating with more ball possession, but it is important that they take advantage of this and score the first goal. The team that takes the lead will have a huge advantage in this quarterfinal.

The bookies might favor Spain to win the match, but I don't think matches are played like that. I really think the both teams have not been very impressive in this World Cup, so I think it's a 50/50 game. Spain has not been at their best in this competition and we can say the same thing about Belgium too, so I think the match is very hard to predict,  regardless of what the bookmakers are saying. I also think it's going to be an interesting match, so I will just sit back and enjoy it.

It's seems you are underrating Belgium. Do you also remember that it was the same Belgium that removed USA with 3 goals conceded from them. Spain are good but I don't think Belgium is small either, it can go both ways by the end of the day even if Spain have some experience players but I am looking it that they don't make mistakes on this one before the end of the match, small mistakes you will see your favorite team concede goal or get card.

For now I'm still newutfa, Spain are taking lead by performance, by pass and dangerous attack Spain are leading and Belgium are just playing without pressure. If they don't pressure back, I'm afraid that Spain will score them without knowing unless if they are trying to maintain high defensive mechanicsm in this match but I don't know but that's not the best for them, Spain can break it down quickly before you know.

To me I will only accept any outcome for this match tonight, because I can't really count on anyone of them the both teams seem to be in their best of form so anyone of them can actually win, the both teams has had an impressive run in this year FIFA world and that make it more difficult to predict, but if I'm to bet on the game I'd bet on the Spanish team to win over the Belgian teams, despite the fact that they had been incredible in this tournament so far I still believe Spain have an upper hand towards them so it's a win from me to the Spanish national team.

Aside from the Belgian performance, Yamals performance I this World Cup is rather unexpected and frankly terrible, I still feel he thinks this is a club match where the refs call for lighter tackles

Since my country didn’t qualify in this World Cup,  one of the country I’m supporting is Spain to win the World Cup. I believe Spain has the chance to win this World Cup. If they should win today’s match, they will be more determined to win the next stage.

I agree, Spain in probabilities could have won this match in normal time. Their performance throughout the first 25 minutes was quite good, there were some chances, but they have not managed to score. This match was also not easy for Spain, but Spain seemed to be quite superior in building attacks and creating goal chances. Belgium's defence has so far been quite a hassle on all sides, if they can't get out of the pressure then Spain will score soon.

Following France’s clear 2-0 victory over Morocco, I am now almost certain that France will go straight through to the final of this World Cup.
In my view, they are currently the strongest national team, made up of some outstanding players.
I reckon the final will be France versus Argentina once again, and this time it will be a rematch.

They are the best team for now. Imagine playing against a tough side like Morocco and still registering twenty shots, and nine were on target. The African side was totally outclassed, so we hardly saw them attack as they used to do. Since both Argentina and France are on opposite sides of the knockout bracket, both of them might end up meeting in the finals. But I hope Switzerland surprises the defending champions. Argentina have met some of the average teams and have also struggled to win these games. However, in a final between France and Argentina. the former will beat the defending champions.

Even though they’ll face Spain in the quarter-finals, I reckon they’ll reach the final with ease because I can’t see any serious opponent capable of stopping them before the final; only Argentina might be able to stop them, but this time I’m convinced they’ll win the match hands down, even against Argentina.

I was just going to post something like this: Spain is playing well enough against Belgium but they are not performing at the level that would allow them to win. But then I saw that Spain scored their first goal. Although the Belgian goalkeeper saved the first shot, he couldn't stop the second shot. So I will call it a magnificent goal.

I want to also say that the way they were performing there could also score more goal even we saw some counter attack from the Belgium team but that wouldn't gonna be workout in front of the strong defence of Spain.
