I still didnt know who to follow in the sunday game, is pretty difficult, my rational side saids Spain is a "better" team or a much lubricated one and other side of my says argentina still have Messi and they survive all this world cup coming from behind like they have some special fire in them, so i dont know what is gonna happen at all.

For me is gonna be good for the football if Messi wins another WC to end the idiot discussion about the so called GOAT.

Scoring against England wouldn’t be much of a big deal for Mbappe and France but, scoring against Spain in a finals would be a lot of challenge. Fortunately for Argentina and Messi, Messi is about challenges and his treated this World Cup as though it’s his and it’s continuously looking so.
I would expect him to be able to get a goal in the finals at least while, Mbappe might manage to get 2 goals. Once Pickford concedes one, he’s always bound to concede another. It’s one of his many weaknesses else, he’s a very good goalkeeper.

It is really difficult to say who will score and who will not, I thought that maybe Messi will be able to score in the semi-finals and if he was able to score then Lionel Messi could have ensured his chance to win the Golden Boot. Now it has become a bit difficult for Messi because if Mbappe decides to be second and if he is able to score in the match then Messi will face danger. Because there were enough chances to score but Messi of Lyon did not score, he allowed other players to score. However, if Lionel Messi becomes more busy to dominate in the final then Lionel Messi can definitely win the Golden Boot.

Mbappé has his own motivation for individual titles, which he can win. Of course, Mbappé will play very hard in the match, even though they are saddened by their defeat in the semifinals. But I think all the players will give their all in the third-place match.
However, I think it will be very difficult to predict because England and France are very strong overall and almost equal, so both teams have the same percentage. This is really true, as a Messi fan I would really want him to winning the golden boot but with evil Mbappe still playing around for the third place, chanced of him scoring is quite higher than Messi's since Argentina are going to be playing clean sheet Spain.

As for the third place between England and France, I don't think they are in any mood as teams always face disappointment any time they get kicked out especially in semi finals

Playing many matches during about one month of this tournament is very stressed physically and mentally. Especially players have to flight around three host nations to play matches, players actually feel exhausted both physically and mentally. Only motivation of playing a final match, win a World Cup trophy can give them enough motivation to fight hard in the final match.

A 3rd place playoff is not interesting with players especially when they're exhausted after a long season with their clubs and this World Cup tournament with their national teams. Betting on a 3rd place playoff is very risky as players can suddenly under perform by many reasons.

There's no problem with the quality of the England squad, it's just that the coach hasn't been able to tap into the potential of the English players. That's a fact.

England have enormous quality, the real problem is not the squad or who you didn't call up (in part) but having a competent coach who allows you to believe in it completely, who gives you the right motivation to give your best and the positivity of thought to never give up, you could say that Argentina won but i prefer to say that England lost.

They aren't even the best defense team in the tournament. Tuchel is responsible for this comeback. And I should state my admiration for Messi again. Now it's Messi against Yamal. I'm going for Spain as I don't think they would make the same mistake as England.

Yeah, I was supporting England to reach the World Cup finals, perhaps they can bring it home after 60 years. But that didn’t happen, they couldn’t withstand the pressure of their opponents after scoring the first goal. England were better in the game before first goal, after the goal the game looked like they woke Argentina from their sleep, they were pressuring England as f it wasn’t the same opponent they played in the first 45 minutes.

Tuchel should be hold responsible for that game, he went ahead to play five man defense after scoring the goal. Even with five defenders they were unable to defend the goal throughout the match. I don’t think they can win the third place against France tomorrow. Moreover, the final between Argentina against Spain is going to be an interesting one for sure.

Many people are hoping to see Argentina losing some of those games they do struggle and come back to win and from that aspect I feel it will happen that Spain will win in the finals because Argentina have been giving that sign of losing but only for them to recover and win the game. The expectations of many as it stands is for Argentina to lose in the final so Messi won't get a back to back win in the FWC, I'd love for him to win it for the last time but the way Spain are handling their games and how Argentina have been struggling in their last 3 games is different and it only points to one direction, for Spain to win it.

I think FIFA should scrap the third place play off, I think there is no reason for such a game anymore, I also believe that most of the players wouldn’t have any interest in that sort of game, I’m not really interested in watching that game, but considering as a football lover I don’t have anything else in my calendar I would have no choice but to watch the game.

I hope Messi can do it, but i am among those who have seen too many favoritism towards Argentina, Spain has faced the strongest teams and deserves to be where they are, Argentina between favoritism and a decidedly simpler group has taken a bit of a shortcut so i am more for Spain.

You know England is another team that are managing too because their style of play is not as impressive as that of Argentina or even the Spain France played against, England wasn't giving that threat to Argentina to get another goal, it was Argentina that was calling the shots and if you check England was hoping to hold that 1nil lead till the full time but they forget that their defense have to be ready for any surprises Argentina are coming with just as they did in their previous games so I can't say they are as good as you rate them.
England tried be in control but never did they know that Argentina will never stop attacking especially when they needed that goal badly, imagine after much pressing, England midfield became weak, so I feel Argentina wasn't suppose to hold the ball and win possession like England, only to counter.

The final is not going to be easy at all and this is going to show us who will dominate the match and who has the scoring power to take advantage of the match. If FIFA is not going to rig the match like we have been seeing in other matches to help Messi and his team to win the 2026 world cup, I know that Spain has the capacity to win this match but we can not judge now until the outcome is revealed.
