You are in a unique position, your position within the forum does not allow you to ignore users as you need to have eyes all over the place to see what is going on but in some cases, lists are made public and they do not necessarily cause conflict.
Yeah, although technically I
can there's nothing implemented to specifically stop me, and as far as I know there's no mention of it. However, yeah it would be counter productive obviously. I don't think I ignored anyone prior to being moderator though. I think I tried it, but ultimately got annoyed at it more than it benefited me.

I know they are made public by quite a lot of users. However, I've never really seen the benefit of it. Ideally, each user would be vetting the ignore list, and adding based on their experience instead of trusting a list of another users. Posting it definitely has the potential of causing conflict, even if that's not public conflict. I'm not saying it's guaranteed to cause conflict, but there's definitely a decent chance of that happening.
I guess it can streamline the process of finding spammers, and therefore ignoring them. However, that
can also be counter productive since the spammers aren't getting reported anymore; instead they're being ignored. Obviously, for users that you don't agree with, ignoring them sometimes makes sense. Personally, I'd rather see what they say, since there's only a select few that I completely disagree with everything they say. Usually, users have some sort of substantial input, even if that's once in a blue moon.
