Really hard to answer though, I mean for the majority of gamblers, of of course, we don't want to lose to most of the time we wanted to play again and take a revenge gambling. So still 50/50, if you take it then win then good for you, but if you lose again, then it's a double whammy and if hard and very frustrated for gamblers.

I guess to combat it is to man up and take your lose and play on other days, maybe next to take some days off first and when your mind is clear then maybe you will have to think whether to play again or not and not chase you losses.

In my opinion, an attempt to win back a loss is one of the most common mistakes that admit a gambler at a time when he was overwhelmed with emotion.

Gambling means that the casino has an advantage over the player and the longer you play the more likely you are to lose. If you think that it is so easy to return the money you lost you are very mistaken and you need to reconsider your views on gambling.

In general, you should try to play not to win, and for the pleasure of the game, but some gamblers never come to this understanding.

Claiming to revenge on loss for money in gambling is a foolish behavior in gambling and the psychology behind such believe of instant recovering of money lost to gambling should be discouraged entirely, as you would end up losing more.

People that engage themselves in revenge gambling are those that use money that was meant for something else or project plan to gamble with the mindset of doubling the money. People should learn to differentiate between moneybmeant for gambling and money meant for specific projects or plan as it would reduce this issue of revenge gambling among gamblers.

actually it does not only lead to revenge but prefers endless curiosity, when they are sure they will win in the next game but usually it doesn't match reality, so it's better to leave the casino is the right way because basically playing with feelings of revenge will make us drain even more money to lose

Is there such thing as revenge gambling though? or we just prefer to play as much as we can regardless if we lose or win the last time? Before during the height of my addiction, I wouldn't think of this so called revenge gambling thingy, I will just simply play as much as we can go to land base casinos and spend countless hours on the floor. And then comeback the next night, not thinking of the money I lose and that I want to win it back that's why I go again and play. Just like on your previous thread about revenge trading, this is the same which many don't advise to chase any losses because in gambling, you might lose more if you continue to gamble and chase those losses. Once you already reached or spend all your capital, better to accept that you lose and go home straight, don't ever think to gamble again in the next hour because the result might also be the same. In order to avoid any revenge gambling, better not to bring extra money every time you gamble this can limit your exposure and you can save yourself from losing more.

This will obviously cause a lot of losses if in the context it is revenge in gambling games, while we continue to do it, it's the same as if we play with even bigger losses, this is indeed difficult to overcome, but we have to think gambling games are not for revenge after losing but ready to accept the consequences with the game being run, I don't even think that this will be done by many people unless they are wrapped in excessive emotion.

It would be difficult for someone to recover their losses in gambling because casinos are not designed to give gamblers big wins. If anyone thought like that, he should be prepared for many more losses and of course, it would cost more money. Revenge gambling is like you're chasing all your losses which is actually a wrong mindset. It only shows the incapability of a gambler to control his emotions. It could only lead to more losses in the future which we might just regret in the end. We should accept the fact that losing will always be a part of the journey but chasing it will be the wrong move. Impulsive gambling due to too much emotions will only cause trouble in the end.

It's dumb, and people who do this really need help because they themselves wouldn't really recognize that what they're doing is way out of line until it's too late and they have lost quite a significant amount in what they're doing. People need to control their urges and there's really no better way to do it than recognizing early on that something is wrong if they're doing just this.

Desperation sometimes force people to look into gambling as a way to get some money to pay debt, or to gain quick money for other purposes. Apart from that, there really isn't any reason for a person to chase losses. Perhaps if that person really is struggling financially they shouldn't have gambled in the first place but hey, regrets always come last for a reason.

Another thing is perhaps that person really is deep into their gambling addiction that they feel the need to always chase losses even if it cost them a lot more than what they can lose. If your brain is wired to react the same way on something that continuously happens to you, you won't realize that you're having the same response to address the same scenario over and over again, all the while expecting a different outcome in your mind.

There aren't any straightforward measures to combat chasing a loss. You wouldn't really consider preventing it from happening up until you address that it's a problem that needs fixing. One way to prevent doing this is just setting a limited budget for gambling each month, and sticking with that strict budget no matter what happens. Mix with it your money for your needs and you'll have a hard time thinking of gambling more than what you have allotted for yourself because your next meal is on the line. Sure you may always borrow to your friends, but you'll have to really think before doing so because you will pile up your debt in no time.

Revenge gambling is a serious problem in my opinion and can lead to large financial losses if we can't adjust our behaviour. I know this from own experiences very well as I struggled for several years from revenge gambling. When I first started out with gambling 18 I always a fixed budget when visiting a casino. I never had a bank card with me and only used the cash in my pockets for gambling. To problem came when facing a loss streak, and after losing 70% of my bankroll for the night I got into "I don't care about anything" mentality. It was also my brain telling me that is now my turn to win. I ended up betting my remain budget on a single bet and would lose most of the time. So the last 1-2 hours at night I could only watch my friends gamble as I already blew through my budget. It took me several years to get rid of that behaviour. In my case it never let to me recover my losses and I would only lose more money.

Revenge gambling is just an easier way to loss our funds. Maybe 1 in 100 will succeed in it. When we experience loss, it is time to think of what next? By the time it is good to have break. I witnessed this incident firsthand, at first my friend only tried his luck with 10$ and managed to get 100$, the next day he played again with a higher capital of around 500$ and hoped that luck was still on his side, but he suffered a loss, then after that, he kept making deposits to say he wanted to take the money that he lost yesterday at gambling, in the end, he lost, so he sold the goods he owned such as motorbikes and cars because of his revenge he would lose money from defeat and had ambitions to return them in large numbers. In the end, he pawned house certificates, loans at banks and others he did to keep making deposits because of his revenge. the latest news from my neighbour is that he has become a person who has lost his mind, when I talk to him he never connects with what I am talking about, gambling when he has a grudge will be very dangerous than taking drugs.

It seems that the feeling of wanting revenge to be able to return the lost money will always be embedded in the minds of almost all gambling enthusiasts.
High emotions will blind every gambler, especially when you experience defeat, so the only thing in your mind is to continue playing or betting to be able to return the lost money.
But without realizing it, defeat after defeat will be obtained, even until all the money in the casino's wallet is completely used up.

do not let your frustration/emotion dictate what you want to do when gambling, only gamble what you can afford to lose, quit gambling entirely or if you can't, take a break from it. clearing your head after a bad session is a great way to collect your thought so you won't make drastic decisions that you'd regret at the end.

Revenge gambling could work for some gamblers and never work for others so I don't advise people to take a walk on that path because the end can to so disappointing if care is not taken. If we want to win back out loses then there are ways we can do that rather than planing to revenge immediately with the assurance that we are going to win back our lost funds.

There are pro gamblers that might have been very good in revenging to make the lost funds and the is mostly dependents on the kind of game we are into or what we bet on. If it is a kind of bet where the house does not have so much power on gamblers then that is find but we just need to understand what kind of gambler we are and the kind of bets we are playing.
