I'm curious as to what the ratio is for users on this forum in terms of sports vs casino betting.

I personally bet on sports 95% of the time because you can actually make money on it.

Slots and other casino games are a waste of time in my opinion.

I can't understand why people would waste their crypto on casinos where the odds and algorithms are stacked against you.

I am planning to put 3-6 BTC on Novak Djokovic to win the 2023 Australian Open.

I just need to find a trustworthy sportsbook who will not only accept the bet but pay me too.

It's because I love sports betting and did go beat but not consistently. And on the other hand, I do play casino games like slots or even roulette (even if the odds are stacks against me).

So I enjoy both of them and so I'm in the middle as far as this games goes.

And speaking of sports book, saw that someone mentioned Djokovic and so that's one sport that I bet, so if we look at the outright right now, Djokovic is the favorite to win this early at AO with still a good odds of 2.01. As far as I play gambling, if you take into account that I do more gambling in football matches, especially at the Qatar World Cup yesterday, almost every match is a bet for profit, if in a casino I prefer games from Pragmatic Play because several times I have benefited from this gambling, also the colours, shapes and game graphics as well as the rules are easy for me to understand so they make me comfortable and excited. If I find free time to gamble, then this is betting. It can be martial arts or football, sometimes some other sports, but almost always it's betting. Since this is more like a recreation for me, I choose the match that will be broadcast and try to predict its outcome, so it becomes much more interesting for me to watch such a match. Moreover, I follow the fighters, or teams, and therefore I think that therefore I have more chances to win than in a casino, where I have to rely only on my luck.

I don’t think it’s even 50-50, but the majority recently is with sports because there are a lot of significant events that have come. I think that’s an excellent opportunity to win some extra money with the additional funds that I am willing to lose.

In the past I do constantly bet on dice but not anymore. There was a point that it got me so stressed out and I need to stop it. My luck was not there so it would be wise to just let it go. 3 BTC is a lot for one bet. Are you sure about that? I think it would require a KYC on a gambling site before you could make such a huge bet because this will enter the money laundering act unlike those who bets for 3 to 4 digits of USD.
A reputable sportsbook will definitely pay you, but I doubt you can do it the instant you want to put your bet, you may want to check the details first on how much the max bet is for a non-KYC bet.

I'm bet on sports more than slots, maybe 80% sports and the rest is slots. I mostly bet on boxing match since I'm more interested in this sport and I'm much more aware about the boxers than the other sports. I do both casino games and sports but I have to say that I do more in casino games especially slot and plinko, maybe 90%+ for casino games and 10% only for sports betting.

Wasting time or not is depending how you deal with it, I can also say that betting on sports is wasting time if someone do it blindly without any knowledge about the sports.

In general I would say that I spend much more time and money at casinos than betting on sports. Only in the last few months I was more active with sports betting due to the World Cup and the last CSGO major. Whenever there are big sport tournaments I get hyped and want to bet on them. And now with no big tournament around the corner I will stick to casino games. Placing 6 BTC on a single bet is a lot of money for me at least. You must have a big bankroll for such kind of bets and coukd hopefully afford if the bet turns bad. Picking the right bookmaker is important for these kind of bets. How about you split up your bet and place 1 BTC each at 4-5 different websites? There are many trusted websites promoting their business here on the forum. I would go with companies that have been around for several month already.

Judging from your poll, a greater number of of players also prefer soccer just like myself because there are more greater advantage to winning  on sport than casinos.
The major reason I jump into casinos is just to have fun or possibly try out a new feature or possibly going to claim some easily redeemable bonuses.
From my years of gambling, I've always been into soccer betting and I've been doing well over there and answering your question, I would say sporting betting is generally preferable over casinos.
With regards to your intentions of betting 3-6 Bitcoin isn't an easy one over just a single game, though if everything turns out well, you would be on a higher profit side  but hope you're willing to risk such money just incase things don't go as plan?

I bet on sports because of the knowledge I have there, you know betting without the necessary knowledge about a particular area might lead to you loosing your money, I don't really have the knowledge of casino but I have enough sporting knowledge that's why u bet on sports

Before, I used to bet on casinos since they were pretty easy and convenient to use. Even if I do not possess any knowledge on a certain game, as long as I know on how a game works, then I would attempt at least to bet on it. But as years passed and after countless of losses, I realized that sports betting was the way to go if I want to reduce the chances of me losing.

Compared to any other gambling methods, sports betting is considered to be the relatively safest method, as long as you have some knowledge on a team. If you are aware of their latest stats, information, etc. then it would be easier for you to bet and to win on the process.

Not really, not entirely what you say is true. the truth is, in football anything can happen without exception that the stronger team will always win every match. as you exemplify in this post, in the match Argentina vs Saudi Arabia. Argentina's defeat was purely due to the mistakes of the players who were not careful enough and the lack of preparation to start their match at the Qatar world cup yesterday. however, it is clear that the fact is that Argentina was able to overthrow a squad that had complete individual players and they won the championship trophy.

In every bet, especially football which we discuss here. if there are some who are disappointed that's normal, and tends to blame one of the players. that's the ups and downs in sports and so are the people who are disappointed at the gamble.

Basically, everyone has the right to choose and like betting on casino games or sportsbook betting. Basically, both of them have their fans. in fact, it's not uncommon for gamblers to play both of these bets. Most importantly, you are comfortable with what you are doing.

I've played more casino games than bet on sports. Each of us has our own preference when gambling, I enjoy betting on slot games since it is purely based on luck and it is thrilling. I think personal preferences matter as much as the options offered as well. Like if it was up to me than I would have been a poker player more than anything else in the crypto world, but no matter how many times poker websites tried to be in the crypto world, it never became huge and that is mainly an issue because crypto people do not like Poker I guess, or whatever else the reason.

Hence, I never get to gamble poker that much, tried a few but its usually empty tables and that is not good. So, I had to go to dice first, and now gamble sports a lot more than anything else. This is a proof that you gamble what is given to you, not what you prefer.
