Indian government (maybe other also) say that " to ban cryptocurrency we need global help" my question is : can bitcoin be banned if all government will agree to ban bitcoin
i am something less experience and has bad english so ignore
For me personally, I think its possible for the government to ban bitcoin if they can all agree to(that is the entire government of the world), but on the other hand, the probability of this ever happening is very very low, like if I should put it in percentage, i would say that the possibility of the entire government of the world banning bitcoin is 0.00001%, this is because it is practically impossible for them to, for several reasons, and one of them being that .. Ego and pride will not allow them work together in one accord .. And also, as some countries hate bitcoin and seek to ban it, there are other countries that like it and seek to legalize bitcoin in their country too, so this conflicting interest will never bring the government of the world under one umbrella seeking the ban of bitcoin.

In theory yes, the government can ban bitcoin, but it doesn't really matter because people still will use it and sell/buy it on p2p platforms without KYC. So I think it won't happen because it's more convenient for officials if more crypto transactions are made on the exchanges with KYC so I think they will move in this direction rather than just banning it.

Totally agree, the government doesn't want to completely ban bitcoin, what they want is to control it. Banning bitcoin won't do them any favor, but if they can find a solution to control it, they will get a lot of benefits from it, especially the huge tax we will pay them. They always make threats to ban bitcoin but so far, they have not done that, they are just trying to buy time to find a way to control it. I believe there will be a lot of regulation for bitcoin and crypto this year, let's wait and see how it plays out.
I'm pretty sure most (if not all) of the world's governments will end up regulating Bitcoin with a heavy hand. After all, they wouldn't want to miss a huge opportunity to collect taxes. El Salvador saw Bitcoin's potential to change its economy for the better, leaving it with no other choice but to adopt the pioneer cryptocurrency as legal tender. The Central African Republic joined the game, while Mexico and Brazil are about to do the same. I think authoritarian countries like China, Russia, and Venezuela will also end up opening their arms to Bitcoin because of the benefits it provides. They may have rejected the cryptocurrency for now, but I'm hopeful they will change their stance as Bitcoin becomes more popular worldwide. We're seeing a wave of mass adoption into Bitcoin from people worldwide. If this keeps up,"hyperbitcoinization" will come faster than you could've ever imagined. Who knows if BTC ultimately wins in its quest of defeating Fiat currencies for good? Just my thoughts

The beauty of bitcoin is that it is decentralized and untrusted, therefore no government can do anything to stop and change bitcoins. And maybe the government could make or pass a law that they want to try to criminalize those who buy bitcoin or use bitcoin will be punished, even if in other ways but that will make some people feel scared. and of course they are powerless to stop or change bitcoin itself, and bitcoin continues to be so popular that I don't think the government is going to do a hard ban because everyone is finally realizing the many good benefits of bitcoin.

Banning or stopping its usage completely is really hard for now. Just think of the countries that are against bitcoin as well as countries that imposed ban. People continued to use from those countries which is the reality. No one can Stop it's usage, maybe in its beginning days this could've been made possible. I'm not sure, but now it is impossible as someone around the world will have it and use it.

With combined efforts from multiple countries, bitcoin can indeed be stopped. But that is a farfetched fever dream if you ask me.
But that will never happen because the world is heterogeneous, I mean, looking at the countries that are dividing each other for the benefit of each country. They will never become 1 or combine into 1. Just comparing with our family members, we can see that we have never all had the same opinion, let alone a country of many different ethnic groups with different thoughts. So we don't need to worry about all of them coming together.

Depending on the nation, some have adopted bitcoin as a payment method and advanced while others have outright outlawed it out of concern for the value of their fiat currency. Higher authorities have the power to impose tight regulations on bitcoin use in a nation, which will primarily impact businessmen who have investments in cryptocurrencies. To avoid the government in a country becoming overly suspicious, it is best to keep bitcoin transactions quiet.

Indian government (maybe other also) say that " to ban cryptocurrency we need global help" my question is : can bitcoin be banned if all government will agree to ban bitcoin
If governments could ban Bitcoin they would have done it a long time ago as they want now. They don't really want to ban bitcoin, but rather want to regulate. If you mean the ban imposed by the government of India and the regulations starting to re-enforce “Cryptocurrency and Legal Digital Currency Bill Regulations 2021”. So what exactly do they want to ban cryptocurrencies and create regulations. The answer is I think "Project self launch digital eye" and most countries prohibit and make regulations just for this purpose. If you look further, almost all countries don't really ban cryptocurrencies, they just want to regulate and control them like fiat. Some governments have already done that long time ago and some of them have also gone through several phases of unbanning and banning Bitcoin. Now the status of Bitcoin is that many countries or governments rather have embraced it. They have already proven that Bitcoin wasn't really a scam or bad but it can be an asset to help them and their country to improve. Bitcoin being a decentralized crypto could mean that there is no way for any governments to regulate it and maybe that is the reason why they just banned it directly. Right now, governments do only come up with their own crypto which is called CBDC which they can regulate easily.

A government can prohibit all they want, but if there is something that gives money, people will not pay much attention, because people in this world crisis are going to look for a way to make money, and if they know that bitcoin is the most feasible, they will not they will, they will continue buying bitcoin and investing, that's why I always think that governments don't let people have a good life, they want to have control to force people to do the usual jobs, that's why I do not believe in the bitcoin regulations in the countries and if lashay I do not blame those who evade those taxes.

Government does really love on controlling things which it isnt really that surprising or shocking on which they would really tending to suppress on things which arent been able to be controlled and this is where they are seeing about Bitcoin. This is why its not really that shocking that they are really that trying out their best on banning or prohibiting it but somehow there are places which are totally opposite on what they are doing. We've known that no matter how they do ban it but still there would be people who would be keeping on seeking paths or ways for them to get involved or deal with it despite of being banned or restricted. This is the best way and things or benefits which you could get.

in fact, it is very difficult to get banned for something that is not controlled by anyone. for example, in India, even though they announced that they had banned bitcoin or crypto, there are still people there who use crypto. The same thing has also been done by China.
In addition, many governments from developing countries are currently still supporting the development of crypto, especially bitcoin. I'm pretty sure they are aware that crypto can also give them an advantage or disadvantage. crypto is a positive technological development and hard to stop, the choice is to take advantage of it, or try to stay away from it. If a country can ban crypto from their country, I think it has been done a long time ago.

I don't mean to be rude or anything of course, but I am really curious to know... How can bitcoin be banned ? I mean, in general, let's say that you wanted to ban bitcoin, what would you need to do ?
there are lot of factor to do this meaning it will be very difficult for even government banning this and this is also the reason why some countries are banning bitcoin but cannot completely make their people have stopped. The governments of countries must want to control their own country's financial system and prevent capital outflows, but Bitcoin is the natural enemy of this system. This is one of the meanings of Bitcoin's existence, to make funds more free, and centralization has bound us for too long Now, Bitcoin is the only decentralized product that allows people all over the world, regardless of race or country, to reach a consensus. even how they wanted? yet this will never come not unless they will connive with the whole world things that impossible to happen.

True, BTC is decentralized and banning it won't do much. Yeah, people won't be able to use exchanges, but it was meant to be used P2P. I think BTC is even more important in countries that are banning it.

Well, they could theoretically force exchanges out of their countries, but that's about it. The decentralized P2P part of bitcoin, the nodes, cannot be banned. Even if some country does criminalize running a node, you can anonymize your traffic through the Tor network to evade detection.

Never say "never". For what I know, nothing is set in stone. Right now, governments are unable to reach a common agreement. But what if things change in the future? They could decide to unanimously ban Bitcoin if it proves to be a threat to the very existence of Fiat. It's no secret that Bitcoin is growing in popularity and mainstream usage each day. The more powerful BTC gets, the more people will abandon traditional Fiat currencies. And what better way to "stop" Bitcoin than all governments preventing people from using it in the first place? Maybe they will go as far as shutting down the whole Internet, to make a new one from scratch under their control (sort of like Russia is doing right now)? Even if they shut down the whole Internet, there's nothing stopping someone from running a BTC node through a mesh network, satellite, etc. The code is open source, so anyone can easily recreate Bitcoin if they want to. I fail to see how Bitcoin can be "stopped" right now when it's a "force to reckon with". Governments would have no choice but to embrace the revolution or be left behind in the dust. Some countries have adopted BTC as legal tender, so don't count on it disappearing from the face of the Earth anytime soon. Just my opinion

Bitcoin is actually unstoppable financial system. Banning is all the lawless in governments can do. Any ban cannot be enforced because it's illegal/immoral to ban what is good or better than what they currently offer. Imagine banning a fair, decentralized, transparent, immutable financial system while allowing the opaque, mutable, centralized ones. It says alot about the people in the government. They are typically the very corrupt, power-hungry and insecure types.

Can government completely ban Bitcoin or not? To find answer to this question one must consult Bitcoin Whitepaper, on very first line we find this: " A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution." Bitcoin WhitepaperBitcoin was designed from scratch to overcome limitations of existing financial system, where every transaction has to go through a central authority for approval. Since there is no central authority in Bitcoin then how can it be banned ? Go through Bitcoin whitepaper and we can find answer that why governments are againest it and why it cant be banned. Bitcoin was designed to be a decentralized and censorship-resistant cryptocurrency. It cannot be stopped no matter what. But that would depend on how far the community is willing to keep Bitcoin that way. If decentralization is compromised sometime in the future, you can say goodbye to Bitcoin for good. Remember what it's said in the real world: "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance". We must remain vigilant to protect Bitcoin from falling into the government's hands. As long as it remains decentralized, Bitcoin will be able to reach the masses without any obstacles or shortcomings. All a person needs to access the Blockchain is an Internet connection (and a VPN if you're living in a country where BTC is banned like China). With how far Bitcoin has gone, it seems to me that it will last for generations. Just my opinion According to data available at https://bitnodes.io/ there are 54 Bitcoin reachable nodes in China. That means despite all pressure Chinese government still not able to ban bitcoin. Bitcoin decentralization is ensured by thousands of nodes distributed worldwide and they only way bitcoin can be controlled is to take control of all these nodes, something technically not possible. Moreover, Bitcoin network will continue to operate as long as there is one node willing to run the bitcoin blockchain.

To ban bitcoin in the world is to shutdown internet in the whole world which will affect all the sectors in government which the government can't function as well. The world economy will stop and no business can move in whole world, even transportation will be stopped. And the government can't do it because they will trillions of dollars in it, and private businessmen will not allow such to happen. What I am trying to is that governments in the world can not stopped the uses of bitcoin because bitcoin is decentralized system. Country's governments can only ban bitcoin from transactions through Fiat banks and not or they can't stop the p2p transaction process.

They can't ban it but they can limit the interactions within government controlled or regulated entity's ie banks and make it unusable in day to day life . Its a store of value for me at the moment it's the taxes that come with it are a pain
