With the way Ronaldo and Felix is playing, I would assume that they are going to win the title. You do not see that type of combination usually, there aren't that many leagues where one team has two players at the top of goalscoring list, and Ronaldo with Felix managed to do that.

If they do keep this up and do not get injured or anything, then they are going to win the title with ease. Al Ittihad has experienced a severe decline in performance and is in danger of failing to defend their trophy this season. They are already 13 points behind Al Nassr, who currently lead the standings. I'm not sure exactly why, but Sergio Conceicao could be sacked if they continue to fail to win. At first glance, I feel like Al Ittihad no longer has a chance of competing for the Saudi Pro League trophy. Al Nassr appears to be the strongest contender this season.

Now, with their points and rank, they already no longer have opportunity of defending their title in this season. I really don't like Al Ittihad current performance this season, it isn't impressive at all, quite poor merely looking at their standing in the table. The decline of Al Ittihad is very considerable and surprising as a club that hold the title, it's very terrible to fall to the eight rank when the league just has 8 matches so far. It's acceptable if Al Ittihad fall behind their main title competitors like Al Nassr and Al Hilal but now their situation and rank are much worse than that. They actually have to wake up for preventing a free fall in this season as with players they have, they have ability to hold a higher position in Saudi Professional League.

In all other places he played, including last United stint which was very hard, he was asked so much and that caused so much issues as well. I don't think Al-Hilal, trailing by four points, has lost the title race. We've already seen them put together a very long winning streak (about two dozen games, I think?), and there's no guarantee it won't happen again. You’ve said it all already, this is football and anything can happen, Well, base on the performance so far in the league Al Nassr have been very good, they are still yet to drop point in the league this season, even when it seems they would drop points against Al Fayha they still went on to win the game. Al Fayha Is surely not a worthy opponent for them but to win such match in that time of the game means something, it means they are a huge favorite in winning the league this season.

All they need to do is not to take their foot off the gas, they need to continue in such performance even after the international break. They have a good coach and I believe he knows what it takes to win the league, he has done it before and I believe he can still do it again.

It will be interesting to see if Ronaldo's disastrous performance against Ireland will impact his performance in the SPL. Knowing him, one can assume that this will give him another impetus for self-improvement. And it seems to me that he has already planned his seasonal shape peak for the World Cup, the SPL is very important, but still the priority is already the World Cup, after which it seems he will end his career.
