I'm not sure you're clear on the comparison between MLS & SPL, I agree that both MLS & SPL are on a different level than major European leagues like Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, La Liga & PL. But considering how many top players are playing, I think everyone has to agree that the SPL is better than MLS. Winning a title in MLS isn't the same as winning a title in the SPL.

SPL is one of the competitive leagues in Asia, there are many teams that have the same chance of winning the league. Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal & Al-Ittihad, it's like watching Real Madrid, Barcelona & Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

The question I had was similar, and I am sure it is not about the minority of the teams, because he is playing in Saudi league and aside from maybe 5 other teams, all the other teams are incredibly low level, he played against teams that would lose to 5th tier English league teams, the bottom of Saudi league is really that bad, only handful of teams are spending this crazy amount, rest of the league specially at the bottom are so terrible they would not win a game against relegation teams of big five, so Ronaldo loves scoring against them as much as he can to get near the 1000 goal thing he cares so much about.

I am not sure if minority means anything to him, there must be some other reason why he didn't play.
