A very much needed win from Al Nassr, the only thing they actually need today was 3 points, they just needed to close that gap between them and Al Hilal and that was exactly what they did. Today was not about numbers of goals being scored or who scored the goal but picking all 3 points, the only goal that was scored was even an own goal but it was enough to get the job done, and now they have reduced the points difference to 4 points.

I knew the coming back of Sadio mane from international duties will really help them and it actually did, he was even the player of the match today. He really played well, he contributed to both the attack and the defense aspect of the game.

The race is still very much in place, the league is still very far and their is still time for them to try to turn things around for themselves. I really hope they can win the league this season.

After their defeat to Al Hilal last two weeks which also saw them fall to 7 points behind the league of leaders, I had already concluded that this will be another season for Al Nassr to finish in a position lower than 1st place but having witnessed the Al Hilal draw at Al Riyadh over the weekend and how Al Nassr fought so hard to get three points in their game today, I think it's safe to say that there's still time left for Al Nassr to catch up with the league leaders and probably win the league at the end of the season

After 17 games all I can say is that the league is far from ending. Al Hilal is still the favourite but their performance in Riyadh seems to have left home among the Al Nassir supporters. Al Nassir suddenly lost their form and they will have almost all the remaining season to fix their mistakes. Saudi league is becoming more competitive this season as the second, third and 4th place teams have equal opportunities as of this moment. Al Hilal could lift the title and if they do, Al Nassir management board for me have done their own jobs. João Felix came in with serious momentum which was supposed to sustain their lead.

As it stands now they don't have to win convincingly they just need to get the 3 points because right now all points matter to them after they have lost the first place to Al Hilal. Obviously they have some good games and some bad games, we have seen both as you can see, but that doesn't mean that it is going to be easy to keep second place, that's all they should fight for, nothing more. No first place chance for them.
