Why not use hr tag? But don't include it inside the tr or td tag or it will be limited like that on your screenshot. Which i guess is the issue when using a table. It has limits especially if you are only using a few tr td tags

I think the character type matters, I tried previewing your table too, then I found this:
Somehow after hitting the 79th count, it made up the distance on its own. This type of char is not suitable for representing table lines without the help of another char. Just use “⠀” (U+2800) and the horizontal line [hr
] instead.
I've only used the same characters, the space seems to be a glitch maybe? Doesn't show up in my preview at least.
