If you can't decide which coin to buy, bitcoin will come with the least regrets imo. Enough newbies have been scammed by coins that claim to be coins and enough older members have probabky invested in altcoins too and made a loss at some point - bitcoin remains the safest.

It's hard to tell when we're bullish or bearish unless we've been there a while. One of the best ways to notice is by doing things such as dollar cost averaging or dip buying (where you buy the calm atter the storm - the relaxation point of the markets as most upwards trends are met with some downwards ones too).

Investing requires quite a lot of patience though so don't invest more than you can afford to lose (especially in your first few attempts) they might just make you want to cut your losses if you're in the red at any point.

Totally depends on the situation, sometimes you got to buy green coz it gets more greener before any dip. We've already witnessed this a lot of times especially with bitcoin. Just think, few months ago 20k was considered as bloodbath but today it looks green with the same price. So you decide what you want to believe in.

Now imo the price wouldn't increase continuously like this, a drop off to maybe 19 could happen and it's just gonna move up and down from then.

Now thats just your opinion but dropping to 19k will kill the whole run up. It should pump once more to 22k then sustain between 21.3k-21.6k for a few days and the indicators will show like they are cooling off magically. And again, 1st feb will be important for us (major fomc meeting regarding rate hikes). Expect btc to 30k if 25bps is announced.

I will tell you a secret, it never becomes easy to tell the current state of the market, just as this could be an important correction which could take us to the mid 20k or maybe we could even reach 30k during the next weeks, this could also be a trap and the price could go below 20k again.

But even then if you are planning to hold your coins for the long term this is a good entry point, it is not as good as the one you could have gotten a week ago, but the more you postpone this the more you will second-guess yourself, so if you like bitcoin for what it is as a technology then buying now is a good move.

Of course the best time to buy is when the price is <$20k, around $16k-$18k maybe. But since the market has risen in the last couple of days, you might fine it bullish though. On the other hand, this is just a recovery, if you will have to look at the prior movement, the price is around this range before the FTX collapse and it's subsequent negative effect on the market. So this is just about normal price range in my opinion, so my best advise is to just buy at this price, and look at the long term, maybe in the next bull run, we will see a new all time high that is in the 6 digit range. So still very good to buy today and hold as long as you can, or at least in the bull run 2024-2025.

I would not consider the current slight rise in price as a bullish trend, because there are no serious prerequisites for this yet. It looks more like a short-term jump, which can return to the previous indicators. Buy or not buy now depends on your goals. If you take it for a long period, then what is holding you back? Go for Bitcoin and you should have done this since the last quarter of 2022, though of course the current price are still safe since that is still not the peak price we are looking for, new ATH can still happen in the future so buying right now is always a good decision. It’s always safe to buy now if you are buying Bitcoin and not shitcoins. Bitcoin will always recover no matter how much time it will take unlike shitcoins that usually turn into zero or penny worth when there’s traders interested on the project. Bitcoin will never be a dead project because it’s the only real decentralized blockchain while the rest is solely relying on the developer of the project.

It's safe to buy at any time that you can afford to. Since the said bull run isn't there although this is an indicator of it, that means that anytime you buy right now depends on your affordability.

My point is, there isn't much need to be picking tops and bottoms, because many that tried are on  a rekt boat(that doesn't mean that there are nobodies that have successfully done so). The assumption is that you are a newbie thus this advice is given with your peace of mind at heart, this is where I agree with those that suggested dollar cost averaging in to any major dips for the assets u trust, eg Bitcoin, as no matter how low they went they'll be bought up given time.

Judging from the date you made this post, I am guessing you must have bought your coin of choice by now, but just incase you haven't, I think the current market conditions demand we wait a bit, there is a possibility that we could buy in at a cheaper rate than what the prices are currently, and just for the records, anytime you are confused on what to buy, then just trust bitcoin is the only crypto to really trust, there are some really good altcoins out there though, but you need to be sure with yourself that that is actually the coin you want to buy before proceeding to buy them.\

That's true, because they are the top two coins and they rarely ever have any issues, or drama or problems. It means that if you invest into bitcoin or ethereum, or even better yet if you invest into both of them at the same time, then you will make a profit.

I am not saying that it is going to be a problem or anything like that, it is going to be pretty tough but it is going to be a great deal when the time comes. That is why I believe that we should not be really be looking towards anything lower or worse, it would be pretty tough and definitely not something I would suggest if you want a sure thing, lower level altcoins are as far from sure thing as it gets. That is what I do tell people to be very prepared when they see the market keep the keep going down. Everyone works for a reason and we need to know that reason so that we can be in great profits. I'll give you the kindest advice, be prepared to have some unrealized loss in the beginning. Go for averaging out, suppose you have 10k to invest. Just go with $2500 on your first buy. Then wait for market to go down if it does buy another $2500. Remember the point is to buy in the bearish times and not in the bullish times. Suppose you were wrong and market did not go anywhere near that point ladder your buy if you see a complete reversal of trend. These are the small tricks that can help you earn and stay in the market because no one has a holy grail as to when will market reverse. Also best is to be in bitcoin as in all the situations it is impacted the least.

I'll give you the kindest advice, be prepared to have some unrealized loss in the beginning. Go for averaging out, suppose you have 10k to invest. Just go with $2500 on your first buy. Then wait for market to go down if it does buy another $2500. Remember the point is to buy in the bearish times and not in the bullish times. Suppose you were wrong and market did not go anywhere near that point ladder your buy if you see a complete reversal of trend. These are the small tricks that can help you earn and stay in the market because no one has a holy grail as to when will market reverse. Also best is to be in bitcoin as in all the situations it is impacted the least.

Should you recall that the ATH is at about $60k+, you would agree with me that, the market is far from anything bullish yet with the market now around $24k. That leaves you with a lot of difference and there is a lot of profit yet to be made. The market will dump later and you can as well buy now if you've hot the finds and the patience to wait on the coin to pump some more.
If you must sell, ensure you don't sell most of your crypto portfolio,  it would be a shit move. Sell what you must if you must and that would be in the event that, you don't have an alternative to solve you immediate issue other than, taking profit on the little pump as you already called it.

I think the bank situation also affected some stablecoin like USDC as it was having some issue few days ago that unpegged it from its one dollar price and cause a panic although seems it has resolved itself at now.

Whereas USDC is becoming stable again I think we should be careful and withdraw holding or trading with the pair at the moment because there are so many uncertainty and we can never know what will happen in the future. This pump mightn't last as well as it might only be short term.

Very easy to make evalaution after seen positivity but if you are the OP and from what happen to crypto around November, you would have done the same mistake OP did reason is that there were no interest in the market, even last 2 weeks, people had fear that USDC collapse may send bitcoin back to $10k but luckily for them, they triumph and everything became in favour of bitcoin even when we all know that the bounce is manipulations of whales, only bitcoin has been having a good time, altcoins remained the way they are and despite the cool down of bitcoin, no changes in them.
