[ANN - INFO] Project Icarus: The forum redemption story 🔐

today we can mark another timeline edition as sold out🥳
all 42 cards from the january 2024 edition from vizique have now found a new owner.
we would like to thank you once again for the great trust you have placed in us and look forward to further releases from Icarus

hello dear Icarus customers and those who want to become one

we would now like to introduce you to an option whereby a certain number of Icarus cards from the timeline editions will be personally loaded by us.
from the timeline january 2025 edition, it will now be possible to be one of the three lucky cardholders who will have their cards personally loaded by us with the amount of BTC printed on the respective card.
in order for the whole procedure to be initiated, a few points must be fulfilled, which i would now like to list for you:

1. all 42 cards from a timeline edition (from january 2025) must have been sold (the order must be completed)
2. after the last card has been sold i communicate a future BTC block with which the raffle will be started
3. the 3 winners are then determined by calculating the hash (tx-id) and the resulting last two numbers from this and a further 2 blocks
4. if no winner can be determined by a tx-id (because the last two numbers are greater than 42), the next minted block is automatically taken and so on

here an example:
8e99a49a1c6f5d02cad42494cc99f44fc6716d1cb483192a1d108921259a0b3c - Icarus card with the serial #03 will be loaded
e71ff1d0103bae90d8b7c029ce6a023dd33f1db6c42a0fe765e9f02d0c97cfa0 - no winner - greater than 42

through the currently published and complete Icarus cards editions secured assets in total in BTC and USD
a very proud sum that has been collected so far

after another four months we are happy to inform you that the trust of our customers continues to grow and their Icarus cards are being used as secure card wallets (even if they are smaller amounts, it is still the customers' money)

half a year has passed since the last update, and we are pleased to report that our customers' trust continues to grow and that their Icarus cards are being used as secure wallets (even if the amounts are small, it is still the customers' money)
there are a total of just over 0.22BTC loaded on a total of 1764 cards produced - thank you!
we also see that a small number of cards have been peeled. on the other hand, this also means that the process and the pk's hidden behind the holo match the public keys

There have been a lot of different releases and all fairly limited in 'print run' obviously
making these really collectible.

Its also interesting to see that some have been loaded, something more of us should
probably do - IDK.

and indeed some peeled which is positive also, it means indeed that:
1. there is a key under those holo's*
2. the keys work
3. it makes the unpeeled cards just that little bit more exclusive perhaps.

*not that we doubted the key generation

retroactively for the entire year 2025, the cards with the following serial numbers from the timeline editions are now available: #6, #11, #15 and #16
these serial numbers are also available again for january and february of the current year

we’d like to share some important news with you... namely, the whole Icarus team are taking a break of indefinite duration.
during this time, we’d like to further improve and optimize the structure that has supported us over the years and helped us become what we are today!
at the same time, we’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Xprim777 for his complete dedication to the project and the tasks involved - we respect your decision and thank you once again for being part of the team. it wasn’t easy to let you go... Sad

there will maybe one last special edition (21 cards) in july, but the timeline editions which you’ve all come to love and know so well, will come to an end for now.
of course, you can still order the editions released so far here via the sales threads or our homepage.

This was not an easy decision, but I felt it was the right time for me to stop contributing to this project, for a number of personal reasons that I will not go into here.
I would like to thank Cygan and Polymerbit. It has been a pleasure working with serious and dedicated people.
And of course, thank you to the community for your support and, above all, for the trust you have placed in us throughout this journey.
I wish the team and the project all the best moving forward.

I wish Icarus could finish out the year - kind of sad to have started the year but not to have the full year done.

Sad news indeed that this project - born out of the Coldkey scam is coming to an end. I'm glad
to have the editions in my collection and hope the the remaining cards sell out.

To note: The project is not dead or over. Just needs restructuring for logistical reasons.

This will take some time to ensure that the standard you've come to expect will remain.
