I was introduced to Bitcoin talk org six years ago but I never took it serious because I feel digital money is not real. My non willingness to learn, has cost me a life changing opportunity but now, I know better😀.

In case you are just like me, let me give  you a brief run down of what i have learnt so far about bitcoin and its benefits

 Bitcoin is real money and is used around the world.

No one can censor bitcoin transactions because it is using computational algorithm called proof of work.

It is very accessible, fast and easy to use.

Bitcoin is a life changer.

No one can steal your bitcoin.

I am confused with your point but i think that if you found Bitcointalk.org earlier meaning you invest earlier in bitcoin it is lot changing. This was very famous on those person whos supposed to be know bitcoin but again people dont invest on it as they dont trust it but again there is no late meaning you can still buy bitcoin and gain profit. I know your regrets but again dont do again your mistake, invest now and earn profit

Yes, you really missed a lot OP for not taking Bitcoin serious since six years ago, because you think is not useful to you. Well, is never too late for you to learn Bitcoin to be part of the benefits in the community, because you have a lot of research to carry out about Bitcoin and how to make your bitcoins secure for scammers not to have access to your bitcoins in future. All you need to do now is to put more effort in reading books that contain Bitcoin, and also dedicate time for the forum so that you can learn more from the senior members in the community.

I don't know, but your topic contains a lot of errors and lacks accuracy, and it also misses many important features of Bitcoin.

First, Bitcoin can be stolen in many ways if you do not have sufficient knowledge to secure Bitcoin by keeping it in a secure wallet and not storing it in central platforms, also choosing the type of wallet and the method of preserving private keys, there are many important things that must be taken into account, otherwise you will lose your Bitcoin.

Anyone that sees and knows your seed phrase or private key can steal your coins. Anyone that is able to compromise your device and transfer your coins successfully just stole it too, be careful of both online and offline attacks. Be careful of malware.

Online wallets are most vulnerable, especially web wallets. Cold storage and hardware are safer.

If you had said "decentralized" money is not real money, that would have made some sense but digital money is what we all use a lot in our daily lives. Fiat currencies that we use changed form to digital a long time ago, unless you are a rare case who has always used hard cash which is unlikely!

The fact is that currently many people have lost their bitcoins due to hacking cases, but I am not saying that this loss is caused by the security flaws offered by bitcoin but by individual negligence when holding bitcoins, to avoid this it is highly recommended that we always store bitcoins in a cold wallet because With this wallet, we don't need to always be connected to the internet, so that makes the security higher than the security of hot wallets, which are vulnerable to being hacked.

Many people have missed opportunities in the past, like OP, and I believe that if you or any of us knew about bitcoin at the time, we would also choose to ignore it. OP feels regret because he has now seen its success, not because he didn't learn about it, it was just an argument to deny his mistake. I missed the opportunity by not investing in bitcoin in 2014, it was because I didn't trust bitcoin enough. But I have never regretted that no one knows the future.

If you had evaluated this bitcoin 6 years ago you would probably have a better position on this forum today. And it's because of that underestimation that you realize how much you've lost. So I would say nothing should be underestimated in life.

Of course Bitcoin can change people's lives a lot. Many people have earned billions by working on this bitcoin forum. Again many people are managing their lives beautifully by working on this bitcoin forum. And many unemployed young men and women are changing lives by working on bitcoin forums.

Keeping Bitcoins in hardware wallet is unlikely to get stolen. However, there is a possibility of theft if Bitcoin is kept in a software wallet. Bitcoins can be stolen especially due to customer carelessness.

But it's also extremely risky if you don't know how to store them safely. What you describe about bitcoin shows that you need to have more knowledge about it before thinking of further investment in bitcoin.

To be clear, Bitcointalk is our forum while Bitcoin is the cryptocurrency that you are talking about. You can still change your life without knowing the forum but you knew to invest in Bitcoin because I'm a Bitcoin investor already before I join the forum. Actually, I joined the forum because I want to discuss and learn more about my investment. There's no such thing as late on Bitcoin investment because any price is the perfect opportunity to join this legendary community that will change the future of the financial world.

You should study more instead on giving your own opinion since you have a lot to learn here.

Do you mean to imply that your failure to join bitcointalk.org six years ago reduced your chances of learning more about bitcoin? It may be true that it cost you a chance to change your life, but there are no guarantees. I used to know a lot of people who were also amazed by bitcoin, especially by its lack of censorship. But during the big pump in 2017, the majority of them sold their bitcoins. They made a lot of money, but the point is that most people cannot hold on for long and will be tempted if the price suddenly goes up.

OP you need to understand that time doesn't make any difference for a determined person. A lot of people in the market are losing their bitcoin on daily basis because they're not determined to hodl their coins. I'd say that your stay here in few months would erased all the blames you have on yourself. The forum will level up your thoughts, through the numerous information provided here, to purchase more bitcoin even while thinking you're late. Everyone who didn't get bitcoin for free 13 years ago can consider themselves late comers, but that doesn't mean that people who joined last year haven't made more profits too. Imaging a person who bought 2 bitcoin at 16k each has made over 10k profits within a small period. Like everyone has said, no such thing as "had I known" in the community or market. Ok, now you've known start doing something from there.

It is still not late to hop in Bitcoin bandwagon.  Bitcoin is still on its baby step so there are still lots of opportunities and profits to make.  There are still life changer opportunities offered by industry, you just need to find them.  Regardless, I am glad you are able to come into conclusion and despite of the regrets you face Bitcoin with an enthusiastic character.  This is a good character to start your venture into Bitcoin ecosystem.  I hope you are able to maximize the benefits in engaging in Bitcoin industry.  Don't make haste and make sure you have all the knowledge needed in making your Bitcoin venture a success.

I'm afraid there's a lot of things you still don't know about Bitcoin. But you'll learn on the way, so don't stop on studying and earning Bitcoin. Though, you could have earned a lot already in those years if you didn't doubt Bitcoin in the first place, especially there's no risk at all in engaging this forum. I've learned a lot already since I started here, but I still have a long way to go.

Maybe what the OP meant was what was explained on this site zipmex.com. Because on the site it is explained that what has been hacked is a wallet containing Bitcoin and on average these wallets are software wallets so the OP assumes that Bitcoin itself has never been hacked before as long as it is stored in a wallet that is completely safe and maybe an explanation in the article it can enlighten you a little about what the OP wrote.

Aren't we all? I mean, from being here for years already, I am aware that there's lot more to learn in this technology. Also even if Bitcoin has advantages over fiat, the other way around still is there; widely accepted and has a more stable value which makes it more convenient to use on a daily basis, without regrets or worrying from doing such thing. Pitential of this technology is well known but but why is it that this blockchain is not being used on a regular basis for daily purchases? 'coz people who owns an amount are more expecting profit from it than as a usual digital currency. And for now, that is simply how this technology would work. But progressive development continues so maybe in the future issues would be aided.

Whether it's going to succeed or not, bitcoin already changed the life of a lot of people, just think about the early adopters, many of them were just kids when bitcoin came out, those who had the ability to understand it and some bravery to actually buy it (even if it was worth a few dollars) now probably are in a way better situation than the 99.9% of their friends and family. Is it a life changer for everyone? Of course not, is it for some? Yes!
