The words "learning is light" are carved in stone. It is also important that your words always match your actions. Knowing that this is useful and acting accordingly can be very difficult for many. There are lots of good slogans from newbies, but here are even more of those who then give up their slogans and just disappear.

That's the difference between present, past, and future. Not because you know something already you'd already engage into it. Not because something is promising, you'd invest already with that particular asset. You are having regrets but that is because you already saw how this technology has proven its potential. It is normal to doubt at first, that might be a mistake but that is also a part on the process of learning. Learning on the other hand should be used in the future. This technology will never make you feel "late" because the market price is not consistently and continuously increasing. If you can afford enduring the risk, you may still cope up with the progressive development of this technology. Just keep in mind the risks involved.

Ponzi is one of scam types and scams are everywhere, not only in cryptocurrency market, not only in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not scam but scammers try to use Bitcoin as one of their favorite scam tools against naive people.

My colleagues at work still dont understand and dont want to learn what cryptocurrency is. I think the words cryptocurrency and bitcoin comes from every device with a speaker now, as well as tons of ads all around the internet. But they still "eehh... that is something understandable. something about illegal money". And I havent event tried to mention any altcoins. That would totally blow their mind. Knowledge is direction and once someone have it he/she can able decide on good or bad things. Many people have losses opportunities because their don't have the knowledge and their don't go for research on them, especially in of Bitcoin. Many have heard of Bitcoin long time ago but their thoughts are in different direction and they never seat once to do more research on it.

Op I'm glad you're here and I think you're in the right place in terms of Bitcoin, but I also realize that there's a lot to learn. Despite the forum's advice, always try to do more research because this is a place where every member can contribute once they have something concrete to offer.

I love this and I hope those who have missed bitcoin opportunities in the past should put aside their regrets and start now like you. It's not just about bitcoin, blockchain, or other similar cases but regarding everything we talk about, knowledge is power, and by getting more knowledge about anything you will have more chance to earn benefits from it. I don't blame you for thinking like that, because many people were referred to Bitcoin through ponzi schemes by strangers on the internet or even by real life friends. And as we say, the first impression is what sticks. It takes time until potential adopters start seeing Bitcoin by what it really is, and not by what other people told them in a negative way or by the usage scammers gave to it. The majority of people don't think bitcoin is real; they think it's something you join and end up losing money, not realizing that you can ask question on this forum how you trade your bitcoin to avoid getting scam, know when it's a bear market to buy bitcoin, and know when it's the right time to sell when you've made a lot of profit.

But as you know, not all information on the internet is true, so, you must be more careful in filtering the information. Here in this forum, you may get the information much better. I think that it is the interest that triggers a person to learn things.  The lack of interest will definitely hinder a person from learning cryptocurrency specifically Bitcoin.

I agree we need to learn things especially if it is a necessity.  And now many people think that Bitcoin is a necessity to become rich so people are now flocking in eager to learn about Bitcoin.  But the moment they experience that Bitcoin isn't the only way to gain huge profit, I believe these people will start to pull away from Bitcoin.

It is great that you finally realized that. It was not just you. almost 98% of people who using Bitcoin now have ignored it and avoid to use it and some even blatantly called it a scam (some still does) in fact it is not with just bitcoin and crypto.

If we see human history, these roots of ignorance were existing from ages.. every new invention, new technology had been criticized and been refused to adopt by humans at the beginning. But, then people slowly start to use them because they make humans life better and easier. Of course it's natural to have such assumptions about investments that you're just getting to know, as most people were before them. You can't fully trust new stuff to be 100% true until you learn something about it. Now that bitcoin has established its history ^{[over one decade]} which most likely gives the answer that it's not ponzi scheme or anything like that.

We have dedicated ourselves to learning through the history and development of bitcoin around the world. Bitcoin is a currency that is being increasingly adopted and used, and its economy continues to grow to become both means of payment and an investment asset. I think forced learning in school about subjects you couldn’t care less about turns a lot of people off to the learning process. Once you find something you love though, learning can be fun and fulfilling. I think if more people were able to learn about subjects they cared about at a younger age, more people would fall in love with the learning process and have a genuine thirst for knowledge.
