How exactly is this a cpu only coin?

There have been sha1 capable asics since before there was even the Satoshi whitepaper.  An fpga miner for this coin would likely be trivial to produce from existing open source cores.

Using SHA1 for PoW is probably not viable, for a lot of reasons.
