I'd agree with BNB being a promising token especially due to the anticipated release of their launchpad. If we would track the past, their previous launchpad release yield to a rally with the market price which made its value way bigger than it was. Also, it is an exchanger token making its market value sustainable to hold for a long period of time. Not to mention that Binance has a good reputation especially because of what happened with an exchanger late last year. During bullish trend, BNB is one of the tokens who is able to ollow and be influenced by the uprise in market prices which is for me a good indicator if you are looking for alternative tokens. So for me, it would be one of the best options.

Cheap altcoin does not equate to a good altcoin in terms of long term value or profit. While there might be expections (to keep your mind open), I am yet to see a shitcoin become a top coin. These coins mostly stay down and never go back up. So if you are going to buy one do some research don't just buy it because others are saying so.

In general staying away from newly launched coins is the best step to take. Bitcoin is always there to buy when you have spare fiat to spend.

I think the question you asked is good, but if we look at the answers given, they vary widely. the answers given cannot be used as a guide on what Altcoin to hold for the best time in the future. I have noticed that almost all of the altcoins they hold are recommended by them, and in my opinion they cannot be used as a reference for trading or investing. My advice is, you have to be sure of your own analysis of an altcoin that you want to hold.

You can invest in AI projects this time as it was probably be making a trend this year or next year. But you should also be careful choosing them and must do research before buying. However, I don't suggest you just look for the cheapest one because no potential coins that are cheap.
I have experience looking for cheap coins and bought it but until now, it is still stuck in my wallet, and can't sell them anymore as they are turning into scam - this might happen to you then if you push to take cheap coins instead of just looking potential coins.

Like you, there are lots of people who wanted to find the right coins to invest their money in in this current situation because once the price of BTC will gonna rises up, surely the right coins will also spike their price and that will gonna be the best moment if you gonna invest in the right coins. I'm not sure LTC will grow well after halving. I guess it is possible if there is a bull run in the cryptocurrency market. It will be very difficult for LTC to grow on its own. Good advice about BNB and ETH, they are less risky investments, but the profit from them is potentially less than other smaller capitalisation coins.

Investing into any cryptocurency project just because of the numbers of holders of the tokens is a wrong criteria to use in chosing a project to invest into. Firstly if you're investing in a coin that has many holders it might be already late to make big profits because it means the altcoins is already popular and the early investors has made the biggest share of the profit.
Secondly altcoins holders can be manipulated, there's no way to verify that one person doesn't have more than one address holding their tokens or the project owners didn't just do an airdrop to distribute the tokens to thousands of account as a form of marketing or to deceive investors for it to look like there are many investors interested in their projects and are holding.
Apart from cardano I have the other project you mentioned in my watch list as I'm also observing them and waiting for me to get a signal that the market wouldn't fall further for me to buy them. Don't always go for altcoins that are cheap but altcoins that has big potential to make you profit. Not all altcoins that are cheap are good, some are just dead that's why they're cheap.

What's the point of investing in an altcoin if it's going to give you the same returns as bitcoin? What's the point? It's easier to buy bitcoin and hold it until better times. It only makes sense to invest in altcoins when the potential return on such investments can exceed the return on bitcoin investments. That’s also my list for a project to look for, there’s no huge pump right now and the price is still cheap so that’s a good opportunity to have some as there is development going on with the project. I also want to include XRP here as many are expecting it to pump higher as there’s a positive development with their case on SEC.
