No one will exact answer to any coin that has good potentials and besides projects might have all the quality that it needs but yet doesn't do well in the market even after haven listed in exchange, looking at the coinmarketcap today you would see there are some of them that has been delisted due not meeting up to their standard. Why are you even having attention for altcoin while bitcoin is there for you to invest and peace of mind without having to think about the process of development or how the team would implement some nicer feature to attract more investors that may possibly leads to price increase during the bull run.

some of the second layer coins despite having value still relatively low nowadays already having some downtrend, in which I believe caused by the fact that they're done did airdrop and getting abandoned, but their use case are good and they most certainly could be rising back up in the future and could simply probably be scoring some massive rally if things goes right.
after all these coin haven't even experienced the bullish season even once, they are increasing independently regardless of the bitcoin trend.
i'm sure they still have so many potential left that will be unleashed when we are in bullruns.

Besides credible altcoins like ETH, Cartesi, Matic, I like the idea of hodling launchpad tokens and exchange coins. These ones derive their utility from their platforms. I know it's a chance one takes keeping them because anything can happen to those platforms and the investment disappears into thin air like what happened with FTK and LUNA. But then, that's the nature of the cryptocurrency industry. It's filled with risk. To even come back home, risk generally cuts across all facets of human endeavour; it's not a crypto thing alone. I like BSCpad. It's very cheap now at $0.1 after doing an ATH of $7+ in 2021. It's looking like it won't rise again but don't be deceived it will rally back up.

I did get Ethererum at three digit price long time back and saw BNB at two digit price, they have gone a long way from there in terms of price and therefore it shows that some altcoins will always grow and become big, compared to other shitcoins. The number of such coins are small and usually take up the top 10 list of the aggreator sites.

It also shows that with time prices grow and getting such coins at cheap prices is something that we all want and the present is the best time for that. Who know which coin will go up in the next few years, apart from Bitcoin which we are always bullish about.

I believe that the market won't perform well for the next three months based on historical market trends. Additionally, considering the upcoming Bitcoin halving next year, I anticipate that the market will start improving from January. For me it's solana. It's cheap. About $18 now. On it's high, it was well above $250, 13 times higher than now.
Is a direct and strong competitor to Ethereum and Unlike etherum has a limited supply. It's quicker than most (maybe all) other alternatives.
Any better alternative of Ethereum like matic, avalanche, optimism, hedera, etc would be a better option as they would be hot cakes if a bull arrives.
Another good option for short term is pepe, as it still has the hype while price is on one of the lowest. It's one of the new generation of meme token and would hit a few more highs at least.

In my opinion, Matic coin is still cheap enough. Because it was over $2.50 during the last bullrun. But currently its value is 0.5 USD. Binance and Solana price is still low for you to invest now, and have full confidence of achieving incomes when the market price change positively which is the period sellers use to make massive income from their altcoins investment. You can carry out your personal research to know how potential this two altcoins are in the crypto market before investing, because whenever Bitcoin is increasing in the market, those two altcoins will be among the altcoins that will be increasing too, and it has helped many holders to make a huge amount of income from their holding. I know many investors has experienced disappoinment from some new altcoins in the market, but binance and Solana will never allow you to experience disappointment through out of your holding.

1) Hive - it's social media blockchain, forked from Steem. Feeless, able community, already does things which evm chains are 'trying to do'.

2) Osmo: IBC chains hub

3) Arb: Highest TPS in layer 2 evm chains.

4) Op: I find those coins trusted which give free money to the community. Op is one of those.

5) Ether: Considering everything else aside from btc is altcoin, ether is obvious choice. Easy 3-4x from current prices.

Cheap in crypto is really vague unless you give more context for this one, do you mean cheap as in you can afford it or cheap as in the price is really promising for the trader to get profit later on?
I can say Ethereum and BNB is cheap because it's really promising to go back to "where it was belong" due to price dump this month and if you can manage to do it then pretty sure you could make decent percent of profit.

Also Matic is quite okay to try because it's being used for smart contract for multiple upcoming projects, so there is something that's being used under Matic's infrastructure.
