Abit harsh, another idea that I came up with is that we are all from bitcointalk so either icopress or cygan could probably send up some PM notification to all the registered players on not making any rebuy I guess. If somehow any of us misclick or whatsoever then probably we will ask the player to sit out for the rest of the tournament after they made the rebuy?

I think most people who have an account on bitcointalk and are playing in the tournament would probably comply with such a request. But what happens if someone plays who is not registered on bitcointalk? It wouldn't matter to him at all and he would perhaps use this option until he won the game. Since this possibility exists, I hope that the problem will be solved by sunday. That would just be the best. Otherwise the game could sink into chaos, which of course I hope not!

Yep, you need to re-register again. What I just did. We're 6 players now, so 4 more to go.

Seems the old tournament got deleted. It still looks somewhat broken, when you register. And there are still unlimited rebuys until the end of the tournament.

In addition to that the tournament structure changed. Blind levels aren't 8 minutes anymore, they are now 6 minutes and some 3 minutes levels before breaks. See here:

I don't care about the structure, but the current one will result in a shove fest pretty quickly (if you don't plan to take plenty of rebuys). I don't know if that's intended. If not, i would choose longer blind levels (e.g. 8/10/15 minutes or something like that) for the next tournaments.

Well, something is broken... I can't access poker, "404 Not Found". I hope that they will manage to sort out these issues, there is still time until the start of the tournament.

I have a question about the final table, not so important but I am curious. How many seats there will be at the final table? Or it depends on the number of players and will be decided later? I went through the thread but didn't find anything about this, maybe I missed it...

So, I arrived at the tournament late to play and there's no problem, I'm registered, but... anyway! thanks for the notice.

Although I think the organizers wanted 1 and 2 somehow.

At least now players have to pay for rebuys, but you make a good observation. If someone has a large bankroll, they can rebuy 100x until they build a stack. Even up to the final hand.

The blind levels and structure are things that will have to be toyed with. We went with 50k stacks and fast blinds in the previous series and allowed 1 rebuy i think. Usually wasn't a rebuy and the game lasted 2-3 hours. So the structure chosen might be to encourage rebuys? Could be other things but icopress can answer that.

Yeah I cant find confirmation about this either but with $500 as the prizepool for the final table and probably will be split between top 3 then I'd say its either 6 or 9 for final table. Totally will love to go with 9 players, playing with 6 is abit dull to my liking

secondly could you still clarify with betnomi about the unlimited re-buy?
our suggestion was that a re-buy would only be possible in the first 45 minutes. and i would also prefer to set the blind level structure to at least 8 minutes if not 10-12 minutes...

I asked, but did not receive an answer that would suit me. The problem is that it is impossible to make any changes to the game parameters only to register a new one. You clearly saw that the changes that were made were not made as quickly as we all would like, so I would leave it as it is for now.

Oh, that's not good news. Then I wish you a speedy recovery and I hope everything will be fine again and you can soon be drinking a well-deserved beer again.

I will reregister within the next couple of hours. I was hoping to see the rebuy thing fixed, but I think we can trust the current players not to be morons. Looks like we will have 12-15 players for the game.

Today i went to the chat in Betnomi and see yahoo and betnomoon talking about the tournament and some other guys asked in the chat, so i hope we can see some new faces, but i doubt that.

IMO the more the merrier. If someone wants to spend 22$ a pop for rebuys all day, let them. They're just building the prize pool for the winners. Eventually the blinds would be more then the stack you rebuy for, so normal users would know it's silly to rebuy after a certain level.

That's my opinion as well, but I would really like to not that 6 minutes blind levels is pure bingo It's a standard turbo tournament. We'll see a lot of shoves even before the first break.

So for those here, we are going to stick to 1 rebuy per person until the first break?
