Hey man, I haven't invested in Fantom (FTM) myself, but I've done some research on it. From what I can see, it looks like it could be a solid hold for the long-term. I can't say for certain whether the current price is a bargain or not, but when the bull market takes off again, I have a feeling that FTM could be one of the top performers like other layer 1 projects.

FTM was one of the top and old coins so it's not really that surprising if it will rise. Maybe some are surprised because other old coins are not doing the same or it was still early for a bull run for them to move like that however its kinda normal that some new coin will unexpectedly rise due to hype or some kind of manipulation but they can just come and go so investing on them after their break out is not recommended as we can only get trapped but we should not worry if we do that in coins like Fantom.

So, go ahead and work on your due diligence and then buy something as addition to your existing coins. Just keep in mind that most cryptos are volatile so a continuous rise might still not be possible even for the good coins.

The FTM token had a lot of value at one point and it got a lot of attention this time in late 2021. But as the price of other cryptocurrencies  including Bitcoin has fallen. FTM has largely lost its value along with them.  But they have a lot of investors so in the future when Bitcoin goes back to a good position FTM can do well with it because its team is very active and its very talented. Nothing can be guaranteed with any cryptocurrency.  So I can't guarantee anything about FTM but I can say that since cryptocurrency never stays the same its price goes up and down over time so FTM also has the potential to do a good thing in the future.
