This morning I had some time so I checked our answers more carefully. I need Senegal to advance to the AFCON semi-final and you need Egypt. As for the 9th question, I need Bournemouth not to lose against Newcastle and Arsenal to destroy Portsmouth (cover the -1.5 handicap and keep a clean sheet).

Interestingly, at first I went with a draw on the Aston Villa - Crystal Palace game, but later decided to go with Villa because I don't like going with a draw. It would be a huge advantage for me if I didn't change the answer.

Interesting fact: in all my BSFL seasons, I was either promoted or relegated. I hoped for a boring middle table finish this season for a change, but I guess my team has different plans.

Heh, it's actually the first one (including qualifiers) that I haven't followed in a while, pretty good entertainment in terms of odds and upsets usually, in the runup to the event proper, and I've really enjoyed good wins in past 3 or 4 seasons before this -- I always feel books still don't bring their A game to these "exotic" tournaments (anything outside Europe always seems a mystery for them!).

Need this to come through for me so we'll not be too far apart (I'm too lazy to check but I think this outcome happens later?).

I have never been relegated. Started S1 in lowest division possible and only promoted or stayed in the league. But also never took a title, time to change that this season.

Yep, it ain't boring with my team. My first season here I was kicked out due inactivity, 2nd season promoted, 3rd season relegated, 4th and 5th seasons promoted. Let's see how this one ends.

Not exactly, Marseille can still score 2 back to draw and take the match beyond regular time or maybe score 3 and win i  

Thank you for the update, I did not know the match was on and have been stuck with Cremonese and Cagliari. Has not been a bad watch however, particularly seeing Vardy play well with a goal and an assist.Edit - Marseille indeed has scored two goals and are poised to win this now except there is some magic from PSG. You should be getting the points surely.

I was surprised how they quickly went from leading to fighting for a draw. They did tend to become a little carefree in the face of goal and ending up giving away one penalty and scoring an own goal in the same match. Not like Marseille did keep them under so much pressure.
A lot of us went with Yes on this one, PSG had other ideas obviously.

About the Arsenal Liverpool question seems like im gonna miss this one also.

Arsenal have handled themselves well in this game, they would still have their way against Liverpool.

Things aren't going my way again in the BSFL. I was hopeful about West Ham after they got ahead by 1-0. But they couldn't prevent the comeback by Forest.

I was able to submit my answers quite late this time unfortunately. This caused me to give my answers to the questions in a little bit of a rush. I won't be surprised if I lose points again but I hope my team can make a comeback from here.

To be honest, a draw was "tempting," but Aston Villa are playing well, so the choice was easy. For me, a draw was never an option - it was a straightforward decision. In fact, only 5 out of 69 people went for a draw, which just shows it was down to luck

Haha, I'm on mobile and opened the spreadsheet in Chrome; there's no way to see all of the answers, and I'm too busy enjoying quality time with my wife to open a fucking freaking laptop for no reason. I needed those three points, but I never expected it to be so easy against a supposed elite team from Division 1.

This is bizarre round for me so far, I just can't get anything right, I'm 1/5 and LMS is my biggest concern right now, I'll be needing a huge miracle to stay alive in that one, while my league duel fixture still hangs in the balance trailing by a point, and 3 question differences to go... I don't know how to feel going into the final 3 days because it doesn't seem like I have any edge in any of those questions except the one where my opponent failed to state whether the AFCON quarterfinals would finish with Over or Under 10.5 goals.

damn... i just noticed that i made a mistake in question #8. i chose algeria and nigeria as semi-finalists, but i just saw that the two nations are playing each other in the quarter-finals...
so i won't be able to get 4 points for this question.
i forgot to choose the winner of the match between egypt and ivory coast... hopefully my opponent Note3 won't take advantage of this

That goalless game between Arsenal and Liverpool got me nervous, but at least we kept our 2-0 lead heading into the second half.

Also, the loss from Atletico Madrid went in our favor, and we only need to hold out one more question for the win.
