Twitter is full of scams, not just crypto related but fiat too. If something seems too good to be true then it probably is. We have influencers, people like Logan Paul rugging investors with shitcoins or NFT projects. You are responsible for your own investments but obviously paid promotions can catch your eye.

You need to be vigilant & keep your wits about you. Nobody is going to protect you so you need to do your own research into any potential investment. Do not get tricked or scammed by snake oil salesmen.

Not a new thing in this industry I guess. But what can we expect on social media platforms? Contents won't be filtered as long as it does not violate community standards unlike promotions which are widely allowed. Many scam projects are doing fake promotions wherein I think their way of 'investment' in order for more people to fall on their plans.I do not want to promote vicitm blaming in this platform but that's just one of the harsh truth- to study what you are engaging yourself with. To almost anything which is new to one's awareness, prior knowledge is important, perhaps on this industry. Yeah, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and many other social media platforms are the worst place to take investment advices even in my personal experiences. We all know that they aren't built for that but they are only built for entertainment or to communicate to the close people that we know, so most of the people there are just clowns. Apart from they are not serious, most of them are also being paid to fool others and scammed them later on.

Depends on the influence and following of the influencer. If they've got active engagements from hundreds of thousands up to millions of people then that's higher pay.
But it all depends on how much they're asking or how much the offer will be. That's going to be an offer that they won't reject especially if not that many sponsors are approaching them and asking to work for them. It's like a one time work so, they'll just plug it to their video and then all good. That's why many influencers are fooled and don't DYOR.

Yeah, i didn't thought about that maybe those followers weren't that active and some seem to have huge amount of paid bot followers.

And these influencers don't even seem to know that they are required disclose when they are doing paid advertisements. No wonder that famous twitter celebrities get sued left and right as they don't have any clue of what's legal and what's not, especially when they are not even reading about the projects they advertise. It's an easy money for them. Imagine one tweet from them cost $1000 usd without any hassle on doing so given that they only most probably do 1-3 mins browsing on the project then post some flowerful words about the obvious and most common project pros then tada! Easy money they got. It's true that sometimes even if it's an obvious scam they just don't care about it. We see how these so called influencers ravage social media with all these sht projects during the bull market. It's an absolute disgrace from crypto community. Investment is always a personal matter.  And everyone takes only one idea from social media but smart investors always do their own analysis and don't just invest based on someone's advice and that's wise. It was sad to say but I feel that the worsening scenario in social media and even can't be trusted. Might not all but the majority we found of these social media platforms are full of lies and assumptions which only become a reason why people distrust or ruin someone's life.

I remember the John McAfee, reveals he charges $105,000 per promotional cryptocurrency tweet.

So this is not new as Twitter is one of the best social media to attract new investors in the crypto market and they are using this platform in the past and will continue to do. Well everyone is going to do it for money so I am not surprised that even a well-known Twitter with a blue mark tick would even fall for this. Quite hilarious that the first letters of the project are spelled out as scam as described by CoffeeZilla.

While I do not know who these people are, it just says always that people should not trust their "worshipped" celebrity in the internet regardless of how rich or even how many followers that so-called "influencer" was.

Personally i didn't following any influencers especially in YouTube or Twitter where promoting a lot of SCAM projects from big numbers of followers profile even i have seen so many twitter verified accounts. They can promote anything without any research because of they paid for it. But end of the day newbies will be lose their money who following such projects.
