I'm not qualified to answer your question because until now i have never bought Bitcoin. I just want to share my perspective on Bitcoin, and why we should invest there (not talking about the technology). First of all, Bitcoin has a max supply of 21M coins. This number will never increase, which means there will be a limit to inflation in Bitcoin. In contrast to gold which does not have a maximum supply. From this point of view, we can judge that Bitcoin has more store of value than gold which people say is the best store of value.

From the day I found out about bitcoin which was back in 2014, I have been interested in it as a decentralized currency that I can use for a lot of things. I am interested in Bitcoin primarily because millions of people want it and have it for whatever reasons.  It's always puzzled me why there is so much demand for something so superficial which has no tangible value (like gold or oil or jewels).  But the fact that millions of people around the world have somehow justified their ownership of it, adds some magical attraction that can't be explained.  Personally, I own some as a store of future value.  Since my bank was only paying 2% interest on my savings account, I figured I would buy some Bitcoin with those funds the next time the price dropped.  I was lucky to buy some last year in December 2022 after Bitcoin prices had dropped, and seemed to be stabilized.  Since them, due to the price volatility of Bitcoin, its value has increased 42% just in under 2 months.  To me, that is much better return than from my bank savings account.  I expect to just hold my Bitcoin stash for the next 10 years.  No matter how the price fluctuates, if I manage to get more than 2% APY out of it, over 10 years, then my funds will have grown much more than if I kept them in the bank.  The way I see it, the only risk will be that Bitcoins will disappear in 10 years, and my holdings will be 0.  Therefore, I'm betting that Bitcoins will continue to survive for a long duration.

OP, first of all.... you do not "invest" in Bitcoin... you simply buy bitcoins to use it.... BUT you can (like you do with Forex trading) ..buy & sell bitcoins to trade with it. People have these wild ideas that Bitcoin was developed as a "Commodity" ...but it is actually supposed to be an alternative currency to Fiat currencies.

The problem are that governments are protecting their local Fiat currencies, so they do not want to allow Bitcoin to be used as a currency, so they define it as a "Commodity" 

If you use bitcoin to trade like forex, your goal is not much different from others, the end result is that you are looking for profit.

If I were the government, I would never accept bitcoin as a currency, if they accept a volatile asset like bitcoin as currency, they are destroying the national economy. I hope they're not that stupid.

What you have presented is a great example of how we can use crypto to assist mankind in times of emergencies.
It is true, we can't collect this amount of money via fiat transactions, small transactions of few dollars is not easy to transfer with.
But with btc or any other crypto, we can easily donate, just know the valid crypto address and anyone can send even with small amounts.

People had gotten interested in bitcoin through different ways and manner. But you’re right. No one would want to waste their time on anything that isn’t productive. Well, though many I believe would have said all you need to know, but just to add, I would say that the reason why I love bitcoin and I'm so interested to invest in it is because, bitcoin is not just an asset that can be bought and sold for profit, bitcoin also is freedom, freedom from those who call themselves financial authorities, that is like the governments and banks.
Bitcoin is immune to inflation, this simply means that the number of bitcoins in circulation cannot be inflated, like it is normal with traditional fiat currencies like the Dollar, Euro, Pound etc.
With Bitcoin, you are in total control of your money, no permission is needed from any third party to send or receive value through bitcoin.

I agree with your good answer, and indeed I personally also think like you, so basically many people are interested in investing in bitcoin because they see the profit factor, and most people predict that the price of bitcoin in the future will be high. although that is just speculation for the future. but there have been many examples of people who have successfully invested in bitcoin and become successful.

But you don’t use bitcoin every day, so far you can’t buy bread for bitcoin in a store or pay for transport fares. Apparently this is what you would like to achieve in the future, since most of what you have listed is impossible in everyday life.

I'd say it was one of the main reasons Satoshi invented bitcoin: modern economy is based on inflation so if you hold your savings you lose all the time, more or less. If the gov in your country is less skilled or much corrupted you lose more, but even if your country has good gov you'll lose anyway, just less. If the gov in your country is less skilled or much corrupted you lose more, but even if your country has good gov you'll lose anyway, just less. So deflationary asset is something really alternative to modern economy. And it is really interesting especially for countries which economy is not developed enough.

I agree with you and other people who explains their reason along with inflation, I mean lets be honest, fiat will get devalued more and more all the time and there are no nations with negative inflations ever, which means that value of fiat constantly drops. Which means we shouldn't hold fiat if we have some excess money, and what better to buy with that than bitcoin.

I know some like stocks and gold and so forth but bitcoin is the easiest and the best by far. I think it is good because it is not up to anyone to decide the price as well, if it is such a decentralized thing then we all get to decide together and that is why it is such a good thing, and this is why I choose it.

Yeap, the majority in the forum will agree with us as it is bitcoin forum.

But to be honest there of course some challenges which bitcoin also faces up. But if to talk about other variants: stocks are a part of an inflationary economy as well, so they go down in long prospective the same way as all other inflationary assets. Commodity like gold can be better, but physical assets have other flaws: it is harder to hide, transport and trade them. When gov will decide seize precious metals once again as it done multiple times in the past it can do it much easier then if it will decide to seize crypto assets.

I also invest in bitcoin more than gold and stocks, but we can't say bitcoin is the best, bitcoin just gives the best return than gold and stocks. In the long run, when bitcoin's capitalization becomes as large as that of gold, the price will be determined by supply and demand. But now, despite being decentralized assets, their value is being manipulated instead of depending on supply and demand. That is, investing in bitcoin at this stage is to make a profit, and get rich quickly, not necessarily because of inflation.
