Whaat? Oh seriously what is this now? I was in the impression that those who get into worst trading would just quit it and do something in the real jobs etc but people come on, this is over the head now. That must be some crazy level of trading and loses people are incurring to go into such operation. I think we its all about the money and its greediness which is making people go to such bad heights. Come on man, if I am stressed out to such high level in the trading then I would just go and light a cigar for myself, have beer in another hand and talk about it with my brother or friends. But I am sure I wouldnt fall for the traps which requires me to for therapy session.

This really proves that trading is making people's mind very weak or may be people get weaken when it comes to the money stuff. Lesson to all the traders I guess. Be careful . Smiley

There was a time when I always want to have a buy and sell daily. Luckily for me, I am not much into futures since I felt like I am more enjoying the traditional spot trades. So I did a lot of daily trades although some of them are into my local stock market. I lost thousands of dollars at that time, but I cannot imagine if I was doing it on futures, I would've lost all my assets. And as most people do, I also learned the hard way. There's a lot of fun stuff to do in this world so diverting is not that hard to do and I was able to stop myself from trading for a while.
I do have some investment in our local stock market, when it comes in trading there it is much safer to hold their especially if we know that those stocks are from top companies however it will take more time unlike in crypto which will require us to focus on trading that can cause addiction since the price is moving too fast and the market is too volatile so we must be attentive in what's happening in the market since many altcoins are prone to be a scam when they walk out. As long as we know the project were investing it will lessen our problems to be involved in having addiction.

The article says that its a 'luxury rehabilitation center in Spain' and they have 4 weeks rehab plan for crypto addicts which costs $75,000. So you can easily figure out who can afford that rehab center. ..

Obviously, you are one of the few who read this article before commenting on the post. Yes, not everyone can afford such treatment) It turns out that before being treated for crypto trading addiction, you first need to earn a good profit. But it is in the process of earning this profit that a person turns from an ordinary trader into a cryptotrading dependent.

Being addicted with trading on spot is really better to me, but being addicted to trading on futures is when their is always problem, when I started learning how to trade I started on spot trading, but later I discovered futures and I gave it a trial, I noticed with just little money, I was making reasonable amount of money and I was enjoying it, I was gradually getting addicted to future trading, then I started losing, but it was kind of difficult for me to stop it because of the high profit that's in future trading, to cut the long story short, I moved all the money in my spot wallet to futures and I wasted all the money on future's, but since then I haven't tried future trading again.

Yes it could be possible but it isnt really that much been included on talks because we do know that trading is something that gives us opportunity to make money or income with it would be normal that you wouldnt
really be minding if you are already that addicted to it.

Good thing for this addiction is that you are dealing with something that could potentially make up some profits that could possibly make you financially stable if you do able to take a good grasps to it.
This is far way more better rather than making yourself that get addicted into gambling or something that doesnt benefit you.

I read a news yesterday about a Spanish rehab center that is called 'The Balance', a Switzerland-founded wellness center, located in Spain. The Rehab center helps in treating of alcohol, drugs and behavioral health addictions. Recently it is adding trading addiction to its list and I was surprised to see that. You can read more about it:

The rehabilitation center cited estimates that about 1% of cryptocurrency traders will develop an "extreme" addiction to crypto trading.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/spanish-rehab-center-adds-crypto-trading-addiction-to-services-list

I think it would be perfect to bring this trading discussion. Are you addicted to trading? I am thinking that making profit from trading or making losses, there is a chance that some traders are addicted to trading. What are you doing naturally to stay away from trading addiction?
This is actually a thing and it's very bad habit. Stock trading habit isn't that bad because there are fixed hours and apart from those hours you can go to your den peacefully without even thinking about the market but same isn't the case with Cryptos as the market is 24 X 7 your mind will always be consumed in the thoughts of crypto prices and worse you'll always keep on checking prices of various currencies every minute. I once used to be stuck in such a phase but I automatically got out of it as well.

Gambling addiction is way different from trading addiction. I could see trading addiction as a good thing if a person is continuously earning from it knowing how to deal with the risks of the market's volatility. It isn't a bad addiction if you are skilled and making money from it. It will only become a bad habbit if you are lossing because you are doing it without complete knowledge and understanding about trading.

What are you doing naturally to stay away from trading addiction?
To stay away from trading addiction, I set clear trading goals for why I am trading and what I hope to achieve. Doing this, helps me stay focused and avoid getting caught up in the excitement of the market. I endeavor to have a set limit on the amount of time and money I will spend on trading. My mentor has counseled me on the importance of taking breaks, so whenever I am feeling stressed or experiencing burnout, I engage in other hobbies and activities to maintain a healthy balance.

Why stay away if you could make up money? Yes, we can lose money in trading but in exchange you would really be able to gain up experience and learning which you could really be able to make use later

on and this is why it would really be that better to stick and not to quit up.Just like the rest been saying about comparing trading and gambling addiction is different thing. We do kow on which one is worth and we know on which one is really that dangerous. So via with our own common sense then you could be able to point out on which one is really good for long term.
There's no need for us to mind off about coping up or trying to get rid.Why would try to get rid on something that you could potentially earn?

If people are losing trades, they still need to learn more about trading and analyze what went wrong with them. This is called introspection to find out what has happened and to be able to learn from experience. But sadly, not many people are able and willing to do this and they tend to repeat the same mistakes.

And if they get addicted to trading, it's fine as long as they can make a profit. But if they suffered a loss, they should fix this. Maybe they need to arrange a schedule for when to trade and when to do other things, including recreation. Maybe learning to time trade is really needed in this case so he can do other things.
We see addiction as anything that is becoming obvious that can be unhealthy to one's life. In trading I think addiction is when a trader is losing in trading excessively and he still insist to continue to trade without looking for a solution to know what is the cause for the continuous lose. I think these what is refers to trading addiction which trading without no positive result. I think at this point of trading attention is needed to stop.

I think trading Addiction is personally inflicted unlike gambling addiction, to avoid over trading, I sticked to 3 and 4 hours time frames that means I only analyze my chart every few minutes to a close of 3 or 4 hours candle chart for a possible trading setup based on my trading strategy, if there is a good setup I pull the trigger and wait to take profit thus I avoided being addicted to trading and my trading perception is not scalping where I needed to monitor price 24/7 which can invariably lead to trading addiction especially when the trader is trying to recover from streak of losses.

The primary responsibility in preventing loss or excessive trading positions, which typically result in heavy account liquidation, is to set clear trading targets. Finding a mentor won't hurt you, but it will help you become an expert in the market, knowing when to buy and sell during a bull or bear market. Mentors also help reduce loss and addiction in the space. Some people find trading to be an absolute addiction, unable to function without it, unable to manage their emotions, or constantly hungry to open a trading position. It's imperative to stop trading completely, one shouldn't need to visit the market every day in order to execute trades. Vacationing or taking important breaks will ease the mind and relaxation is necessary for the body.

We'll be there, if we do trade at most times, we're prone to being addicted to it. But I think that there's an even better results from it than being addicted to any other things.
If you know how to pull things from it and you're aware of where it can lead you and aware of your limitations. That means you're doing it right and timeframes are key for you to cope up with it.

So if you are earning good profit from crypto then why going for a treatment that stops you from doing crypto trading? I think only those people called themselves crypto addict and need rehab that have lost enormous money in crypto trading.
As I said before addiction of everything is bad. Everything must be done in balance.

Trading addiction and gambling addiction are very different, whereas in trading addiction if you have good skills, you can make a profit. But the person who trades may not be able to time it in trading and will keep trading regardless of other things around him. Actually, it is better than gambling addiction because it has a better result than gambling addiction, namely, being able to earn money.

Perhaps what is needed for both the person with a gambling addiction or a trading addiction is to manage the time to gamble and trade so that they will not get addicted to it or lessen it.

I think it would be perfect to bring this trading discussion. Are you addicted to trading? I am thinking that making profit from trading or making losses, there is a chance that some traders are addicted to trading. What are you doing naturally to stay away from trading addiction?

Seeing rehab centers switching their focus on to trading addiction must mean that there is a lot of demand for it. Over the last 5 years trading became so much easy for the average investor. Transaction fees decreased a lot, the number of banks and brokers increased, and also direct accessibility became much better. There are a lot of different apps with which we can start trading very quickly with only small capital requirements. The drawback of the evolution seems to be the rise in trading addiction. Luckily I am not addicted myself and hopefully can keep it that way. I keep a close eye on my trading activities and have no problem at all to take a break from the market for a few weeks. The main thing why I try to control myself as much as possible is that I was addicted to cigarettes in the past. I smoked for more than 10 years and it took me 5-6 attempts to finally stop. It can be very difficult to overcome an addiction again, that's why I try to be very strict and follow my rules to not get addicted. Having some fixed rules on how much we allow ourselves to trade per week is important.

If you're going to be a "victim" of one, let it be HODLING, not gambling or "trading", especially day-trading. Both of trading and gambling are the same in that your body wants to be "rewarded" through a dopamine rush that's released in your brain whenever you profit. The problem, each rush to have the same effect requires more dopamine, and that makes you gamble/take risks more and more, bigger and bigger. Because we're mere plebs who are under-capitalized most of the time, we risk and lose everything to the market. "Control" is hard to do, just HODL your coins in cold storage.

I agree, at least with trading there is a chance that you could make a profit, with gambling there is no chance that you could make a profit. I think it is even more than just about dopamine, it is about the fact that if you want to do something, isn't it better to do something that is a lot more fair towards you?

I believe that if you spend time and money on gambling, you will get that dopamine rush but you are doing something that is 100% guaranteed to make you lose money, but if you trade then there is a chance that you could lose money again but at least there is a chance that you could make a profit as well, that is a much better solution to everything.

I'm not actually saying "trading", I said HODLing, and there's a very big difference between the two. Trading, especially short term trading, is more about gambling than long term trading, which is still "educated gambling". But HODLing through multiple bull-bear cycles removes all the risks of the pleb from making mistakes from either short term or long term trading. The 10% of the best traders make profit, the 90%, which where we plebs are included, always lose money. Just HODL if you don't have the skill, and the right amount of capital.

Maybe they see the technology evolves and see that there's something problem they missed out so they include trading addiction on their programs. But I doubt there are people will admit that they are been addicted in trading since what we commonly see on trading groups they decide to quit trading out of discouragement due to losses they got then think about trading is not for them. I never encounter anyone got rehab due to trading addiction but since this was been introduced to that country maybe there will be other rehabilitation center will follow and there are people will came to it to avail the program.

Things like this come back to ourselves, because this is very closely related to how we control our emotions. The addiction to honest trading still has a very extraordinary meaning for me, whether it is in the form of one's inability to control when to enter or exit, or there are other things that will indeed have a negative meaning, such as trying to chase losses when our emotions are not stable.
We can really avoid trading addiction, but in my opinion when we really understand and have a mature plan, trading addiction can be used as a positive thing.
