People who are in trouble because an addiction do not even recognize there is an addiction or do not want to admit it. It does not only happen with gambling but also with alcohol or behavior patterns.
I think you are right, most people that are addicted don't believe they are addicted, not even in gambling, they will keep on saying they are not addicted, some might even quarrel with you if you keep on telling them that they are addicted.

It becomes part of their life, I assume.
It reminds me to an uncle I had that he smoked like two packages of cigarettes every day, I never heard anyone calling him out on that problem, because he did not see it as a problem. I guess it is similar to problem gambling.

Human psychology is truly interesting, if we realize who complex we all really are in comparison to animals and other living creatures.

I am yet to experience withdrawal symptoms when I go days without gambling. I have observed myself, looking for signs of irritability, anxiety, or depression when not gambling, but haven't noticed any. Therefore, it is safe to say that until I have an experience with any of these emotions, that is the day I will quit gambling. However, since gambling is one of my favorite past times, I find myself going back to it even when I have drawn out my schedule to engage in my other outdoor activity, soccer. Maybe it is because of the stress involved in dressing up, or maybe I am just too lazy for it.
It's good if you haven't experienced those symptoms and can prevent them from happening if you keep control.
The most important thing is how you can still control yourself when gambling so you don't lose a lot of money, which can trigger the signs you mentioned.
It's better to enjoy gambling as it is without looking for those signs because it will cause you to lose self-control.
If gambling is one of your favorite pasts, you have to be very careful because it can make you go back in time and be able to use up more money than before.

I think literally best thing to do is hanging out or doing another hobby if you are trying to quit gambling. Addictions always involve hormones in our body so many people can't fight against their own hormones. When they quit gambling they always experience those weird syndromes that lowers their life quality. In long run I think everyone will realize its better to stop gambling before you are having fun. Noone is gonna force you to stop anyways other than yourself. You can stop like a month and just comeback later to gamble in better mood.

We should get back to roots of addiction. Like you have said, body looks for hormones - hormone of happiness imo. I think we can trick our body and seek for such hormone somewhere else. Second reason of gambling addiction is greed. I think it can be beaten by finding additional or different source of income (job with bigger salary). Of course that wont help for 100%, but I am sure that it might help to make pauses between gambling sessions larger.

I believe I am very in control of my habits so I have nothing to be afraid of, for now.
I only gamble in a very casual way, so it is nothing I do in an impulsive way and whenever I reach my loss threshold I give up and log out my account. I simply accept I do not have any luck left.
I believe it is better that way to me, since I like to save money as well.
If you can control gambling by your own strategy then it is good for you and you will get rid of deep gambling addiction. And if you can get rid of the deep addiction of gambling then you will be able to use it only as a place of entertainment and you will be able to use it as a golden place to relieve your tiredness and pain from time to time. I myself gamble but it is very limited and I keep a fixed budget for each week to enjoy enough entertainment but not to become deeply addicted.
That is why it is said that those who can control gambling can completely escape its negative effects. They gambling also have relatively more winnings than an addicted gambler. They can only think of gambling from a place of entertainment. They don't even try to recover their lost money so they can truly enjoy gambling. Until a gambler is able to overcome their addiction, they cannot enjoy the excitement of gambling.
Yes, gambling addicts can only destroy people and bring nothing good. For this gambling is only a place of entertainment it is not a legitimate way of earning money. Anyone who thinks that it is possible to earn regular money from here falls into a deep addiction. A gambler who falls into a deep addiction never realizes that gambling is slowly killing him

I could relate to what you're goin through, cause I've had my doubts if I was addicted to gamblin too. I think finding new things to do and being with freinds can help with not gambling as much. But gambling addiction is no joke and can have a huge impact on ur life. If you or someone you know is showing signs, seek help from professionals asap. Just cus you stop gamblin doesn't mean you have to stop having fun. There's plenty of other fun things to do that don't have the same danger of addiction or bad outcomes. I'm rootin for ya as you work on getting healthy and happy again

I tried sometimes to stop gambling but when a habit is already formed, it is hard to stop. So, even if I tried to stop gambling over and over, after a few days or months, I will eventually fall back into it. The best I can do is put a limit on it and enjoy it as much as possible.

Whenever you are doing anything, always make sure you are having limit and always try your possible best not to exceed your limit always, whenever you notice that you are exceeding your limits, then you getting addicted to that particular thing already.
Sometimes, it is hard to track your limits when you are enjoying too much already. It is also best to control the urge and live a balanced life. If you feel already getting addicted, try something new that could take away the urge to gamble even just for a few days.

It's really hard to break the cycle of a bad habit that has been established for a long time already. It will be challenging on your part as it is already a part of your routine and system, so even if you try to withdraw and lie low, eventually you'll crave for it and be back in no time. Breaking free to gambling requires professional help and intervention. It isn't an overnight process. It's progress is slow and fluctuating rather than smooth sailing. If you are able to limit yourself and not go back from your old gambling ways on your own, that's good to hear. But most of the time, people who suffer from severe addictions need proper treatment for them to recover and avoid relapse.

It's really hard to track your limits and abide by your set boundaries, but if you really aim to be treated, you have to help yourself as well. It's your responsibility after all to look after yourself for your betterment. Start small, and from there, build the discipline and shape your mindset to be healthy mentally.

But if we already have an additional source of income with a bigger salary and we are still gambling, it can cause us to gamble with more money because we see additional money in our wallet that we can use for gambling. But if we can decide that we really need to stop gambling, even if we can earn a bigger salary, we will really stop gambling and be able to walk away without any problems. Gambling addiction is indeed difficult to leave, but we can try to reduce gambling, both time and money, until we can really leave gambling.

Sometimes having another source of income stream can make us confident to gamble more because we think that we still have money to wait even if we lose. Having a lot of money can trigger some aggressive mindset but somehow it will be stop especially when people realize that they are losing to much money for continuous playing. This realization can make us decide to quit for a while and for sure we go to this process but we end up still gamble but in controlled manner that's why we are still here.
