So I used ChatGPT as a second opinion if posts break any of the 33 unofficial rules listed here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0 ,
It is very cool in my opinion because it's response which I will share below seem to have merit.

transcript:

Code:
me:
I want you to give me your perception if a post is breaking any of this rules:
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

2. No off-topic posts.

3. No trolling.

4. No referral code (ref link) spam. [1]

5. No link shorteners that require users to view an ad.

6. No linking to phishing or malware, without a warning and a valid reason. [e]

7. No begging. [5]

8. No threats to inflict bodily harm, death threats.

9. Discussions in the main boards must be in english. All other language discussions should be posted in the appropriate Local board.

10. No embedded NSFW images anywhere. NSFW content must be marked accordingly.

11. No linking to illegal trading sites.

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting topics in the local language boards if they're translated and re-posting marketplace topics in the altcoin boards if altcoins are accepted).

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours per thread. Bumping multiple threads at the same time is allowed if it's not annoying. [2][e]

14. All altcoin related discussion belong in the Alternate cryptocurrencies and its child boards. [3][4][e]

15. No on-forum altcoin giveaways. [6][e]

16. Do not have more than one active sales topic in the Currency exchange board. [3]

17. Trading of goods that are illegal in the seller's or buyer's country is forbidden. [2]

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.

19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

20. There are restrictions when selling accounts and invites for invite-only sites. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134779.0 [2][?]

21. Old bumps should be deleted. [2]

22. Advertising (this includes mining pools, gambling services, exchanges, shops, etc.) in others' threads is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, in altcoin announcement threads. [8]

23. When deciding if a user has broken the rules, the staff have the right to follow their interpretation of the rules.[e]

24. Advertisements (including signatures within the post area) in posts aren't allowed unless the post is in a thread you started and is really substantial and useful.[9][e]

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

26. Local thread rules, if stated properly when the thread was started, specific enough and don't conflict with the forum rules, have to be followed.[e]

27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed.

28. Exploiting bugs or flaws (even if the result is harmless) in the forum's software is not allowed.

29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.

30. Similar marketplace items must be listed together.[2][e]

31. User avatars must not contain NSFL or NSFW content, infringe on copyright or attempt to impersonate a user.[10]

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]

Your response when I begin a question in "In your opinion. . ." must be just simple format. Tell me if it breaks any of these 33 rules and a short explanation why do you think so.

Quote
Understood. I'll answer your questions based on the 33 rules you provided. Please provide the post you would like me to evaluate.

In your opinion, does the post break any of these 33 rules?

Code:
I will provide you with Topic and you will evaluate the replies based on the 33 rules and again keep your answer simple but precise.

Quote
I will provide you with Topic and you will evaluate the replies based on the 33 rules and again keep your answer simple but precise.

Code:
this is the link of the topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5432756.msg61533641#msg61533641
Quote
I'm sorry, but as a language model AI developed by OpenAI, I don't have the ability to access or view internet content or web pages. Can you provide a description of the post or its content for evaluation?

Code:
Topic: "My Cat just died"

Message: "My cat was poisoned yesterday and died today morning. I know this isn't relevant with the forum but I don't have anyone to talk to in order to let it out. Second day of 2023 and everything seems to be going great."

In your opinion. . . is this response:
"Probably you put it on ignore. Click on profile -> Ignore boards preferences to see the boards you but on ignor." , breaking any of the 33 rules?
Quote
In my opinion, this response breaks rule 1 "No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads." The response is not related to the topic and does not contribute any value to the conversation.

What do guys think?

(apologies for the owner(s) of the posts in example above)

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It's a false positive because the @Charles-Tim's reply isn't for the thread, but the below post.

Thank you, I remember the existence of the off topic section but it wasn't appearing. For some reason I had disabled it. I'll see if it's possible to move it now.

It's not off topic and break the number 1 rule in this forum, so let's imagine ChatGPT will be implemented in Bitcointalk. There will be a bunch replying got deleted because the @OP asking for another question which different with the thread.

So when someone have new question, they need to create new thread over and over, I think it's not good because long and constructive discussion is better.

Imho, implementation of an AI feature on a forum will just defeat the purpose of forum for sharing of idea and knowledge since an AI bot can answer based on data of the forum. It will just cause less interaction here because everything can be answer by the AI.

very interesting
I can understand that the death of a cat has little technical value
but maybe the master cared so much and was sad
after all, this is a forum for chatting, a post like this made perhaps by a historical person can also be there
(how can there be the fact that yahoo told us about his illness https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5430104.0 )

otherwise it becomes just a technical forum

You cannot use OpenAI's language model in that way because the language model was not programmed to evaluate posts or determine whether they were spam. If you really want an AI that will enforce forum rules and fight forum spam, you would have to teach it what constitutes spam and non-spam. That means it should first be fed a bunch of posts that violate forum rules and a bunch of posts that do not. After that, it can be used to identify new posts that violate forum rules and post them to the moderators or apply other actions.

A.I models are trained on specific Data Sets and until you trained ChatGpt on such Data sets you can't get the requested result, even if you get some but the result will always be ambiguous. Also, the Free version of ChatGpt(available free to use) is limited and have limited data but if you buy/paid for the subscription, then you can have hands on the latest data to date.

I've always wondered how much this tool, chatgpt-3, costs
now I've read that version 4 will come out and that version 3 is a toy in comparison
does anyone know more about this?
do you know when it will be out?

now I've read that version 4 will come out and that version 3 is a toy in comparison
does anyone know more about this?
do you know when it will be out?

I've tested gpt-3/3.5 to a very high extent. The knowledge is limited up to September 2021 (despite it saying that its knowledge is "updated frequently") and it is very non-creative/analog in what it replies to questions that seek creativity or "outside the box" thinking. It's no surprise that GPT-3 is just a toy in compared to what GPT-4 will be. According to PC Guide apparently it could be expected in the next month, and to give you an idea of how much more diverse/powerful it will be in comparison to GPT-3.5, GPT-3.5 has up to 175 billion parameters while GPT-4 will have up to 100 trillion parameters.

Edit-  according to WriteSonic - GPT 4 is coming!... the claim of 175 billion parameters vs 100 trillion parameters has been addressed by OpenAI's CEO...From the article:
Quote
"You might have seen the following image comparing the number of parameters of GPT-3 to the GPT-4 model. Recently, the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, shut down this rumor in an interview with Strictly VC and called it “complete bullshit.”

The emphasis for GPT-4 is not how big the language model will become compared to GPT-3. But rather, the focus is shifted to optimizing the current. This is mainly because the GPT-3 has been only trained once with less precision.

So, for GPT-4, the training will be more extensive across many hyperparameters. As a result, GPT-4 will have more choices or inputs and can tackle complex tasks at scale."

This is a good lesson to check more than one source.

I'm not a technician but I'm a little skeptical
I also used chatgpt to chat, but I didn't find it that amazing
of course he answers correctly, but the information is very old and often wrong
example on Messi it was wrong where he plays (PSG and not Barcelona)

In situations in which the bot does not know the answer, it can distort the facts and continue to use judgments based on them. For example, he can be persuaded in terms of the axioms of mathematics. The bot does not know how to insist on facts, and this is a flaw.

You can't use ChatGPT for this kind of stuff because it can't read links off the internet. So it will not be able to take all the replies in context as other members have pointed out.

Also, a ton of these rules have nothing to do with posting at all, and cannot be checked for violation with some AI and a sample of a single post.

ChatGPT isn't creative or providing anything new, it just collect information and write it for us which is already available on the internet. But forum is created for interaction purpose which may lead to new ideas, etc so implementation will defeat the existence of forum along with spammers to make this place more scrappy because they will be coming with tons of accounts and keep spinning the same information over and over.
