Just don't do what other members of your family are doing if they are busy with social media, then don't join in on that and keep doing activities that can interact more with each other because usually if someone is too busy with social media activities because they don't have other activities besides that, if you can still do activities that have more interaction with other family members then there is a possibility they will start to get involved with your activities, but to be honest keeping someone away from social media activities currently very difficult because as long as the smartphone is in hand and connected to the internet everything is easy accessible and sometimes more enjoyable.

My family do spend a lot of time on social media. It’s just modern society, we adapt & conform to what everybody else is doing. Human beings are like primates, they just copy what the majority is doing. I think as long as you do have family & friend relationships then spending a lot of time online isn’t too much of a problem. It's not all about spending much time on social media, but what quality things have you got to show forth that is worth deserving your time on the social media, if by profession or means of income you earn something from the social media and you get loads of information and taughts from the time it's consuming from you, but nevertheless there's always a need to make a balance whereby that does not affect your home or marriage and family affairs.

I don't think that being a professional Tiktoker makes things right. Most of this content is trash and I wouldn't be happy if my son was making a fool of himself by dancing on top of a moving car or launching fireworks from his ass, even if it paid him a million USD each year.

It can also be said about the way these people expose themselves and their families in the Internet. I wouldn't want my wife to vlog about our life. People are so desperate for attention these days, they film themselves pissing in the bathroom or drinking until they drop. That's what the crowd wants so that's what the crowd gets.

It depends on what they do on social media and the age bracket they fall into, in as much as social has disadvantage it also have an advantage. This time because lack of unemployment the social media has really helped people in creating revenue for themselves both small and big. Their lots of activities going on social media that can generate money that is why when I see people putting much time on Social media I don't see it as waste. The social media has giving so many people good information in life and people do their business on social media and earn good money at home instead of running up and down. Social media is a good innovation in this modern age.

Family spending time on social media isn't a bad idea but it becomes a bad idea when it becomes a habit. I don't allow my family to spend much time on social media. I made it open to them how social media influences our lives negatively. Pornography is a good example, a young boy or a young girl who spend more time on social media watching pornography is more likely to be addicted to masturbation. And other internet frauds. I restricted my family from certain channels, i monitor what they do with their mobile phone. I advice them on a daily basis about the negative impact of much time on social media.

Being a reasonable man and i noticed this abnormality with the family having much interest on the social media, i will try to introduce two approach to this challenge in other to turn the menace to a meaning, first is to create for them an avenue that they could also engage using the social media for education learning ground, and possibly introduce them to forum line this where they could learn and earn in future, this will contribute to their growth and avoid them from wasting time on unnecessary sites, secondly is to introduce them something that could always get them engaged on a busy hands, an idle hands is believed to be a devil's workshop, i will provide them an alternative activities or work that will always get them busy doing something.

You could create a social media group from which you assign and monitor tasks to the members of the family. So many things you do in real time you transfer them online. You create a group like family advice and counselling group.  This might sound weird but it makes sense in actual sense. You cannot begin to decide for an adult on how to use the media. You can only decide for a child on how to use the social media and not an adult.
