Hello guys my curiosity has really gotten the best of me. I was so eager to get involved in the trending Bitcoin currency that is everywhere in my locality. Bitcoin is acceptable in so many small scale business around me in my locality, I mean I had to just ask what was this all about and finally I was introduced here and since my coming I have Learnt alot and still in the process of learning. But I came to understand few things here which gave me the courage to wanting to purchase Bitcoin and keep it so I can see some tangible profit when the price go up . Although the purchase is small but you won't blame me as it's a first timer situation and in addition to the fact that the funds are not available enough for me but I just want to let everyone know am also a Bitcoin holder now and willing to purchase more as bitcoin is also a financial gateway to freedom of saving fund. But I really had to take my Time to understand the whole volatility of Bitcoin before taking this bold step.

As irritating as this is beginning to look in my eyes, I would say, you've done yourself solid by buying a few sats. That's nice but, is it really something we should celebrate? Like why should we...? You bought your first bitcoin and then what?

This is a trend that I have seen to go around one too many times and it's already polarised at my end. Do we have to see this sort of thread over and over again; i bought my first bitcoin,  i purchased goods with bitcoin, I started accepting bitcoin in my business and lots of those similar threads.

This makes me see reason why mega threads are been put in place to house this sort of festivity. Do we have one? I think it hould be made elaborate and let's have all these directed there.
Don't take this personal as its got nothing personal about it, am just not feeling the vibe no more for these trends.

I hope you are holding your coins in a safe wallet. Is that a Binance P2P purchase on the picture? Did you leave your coins on Binance or did you withdraw them elsewhere?
First of all, I would never advice anyone to hold coins on an exchange but (there is always a but) in your case, it makes more sense than withdrawing them. Let me explain why. You own 0.00027... BTC. Binance's withdrawal fee (I am assuming that is Binance on the image) over the real Bitcoin blockchain is 0.0002 BTC. Not only that, but you don't have enough for a withdrawal. But you have enough to withdraw fake bitcoins. Don't let Binance trick you into withdrawing bitcoin over some alternative networks like its native Smart Chain or as a BEP2 token. Those are centralized and pegged BTC tokens and not the real bitcoin.

Congratulation on your first purchase of Bitcoin, and welcome to the Bitcoin community.  It might be a small amount but who knows, after a decade that amount might grow 100-fold once adoption mass adoption took place.  It is somehow unadvisable to transfer your fund if it is sitting in an exchange because it will be just eaten by the transaction fee.  Better accumulate a good amount first before withdrawing it to your wallet.

If you have an extra fund, you can always accumulate Bitcoin in a small chunk, that is at least a proven strategy for people who has no huge amount of money but wanted to invest.

Welcome onboard mate, nice step you took here in buying Bitcoin. A little bit larger than mine at the first time purchase but we all start our bitcoin journey somewhere so I will just advice you keep holding on strong, and make sure you buy more so your chances of getting some profits will be high when the price pump up during the bull season. One thing that is always advice here is not to forget to move your coins off the exchange you use in buying and take it to a more safer environment which is a non custodial wallet like the electrum wallet and remember to always keep your seed phrase safe and saving it offline is more preferably as it will be free from any cyber attacks.

Everything comes out of learning. OP had taken the very first move and this will be positive for him. Many people doesn't have the real understanding and they keep on delaying. You just did the right thing. Everyone starts small and depending on your capacity and the important thing is you've made it there. This will urge you to have some more while doing some calculations on how much you'll gain if ever you've got an $xx amount on your stash.

Small or big amount are the same. If you have the courage to invest then feel free to do so but if you are just carried away by the hype this industry is having, ease down and learn things first. Managing the risks won't be as easy as it may sound; the market price moves a lot and you have to prepare yourself on every decline of its value. Also, with FUDs which might affect your decisions as an investor to whether sell or continue holding. Bitcoin indeed has the biggest potential but along the way is a different story. Not because many people earned huge from this industry, you'd already assume that same thing would happen on your investment because there will always be underlying factors to affect every outcome, so be cautious of those things.

If that is on the centralized wallet which I think is based on the image you've shown, you're not safe because you didn't have full control over your coins, the golden rule that always to remember, "Not your keys, not your coin".  Just quickly move your Bitcoin to a safe wallet, Electrum would be the best for beginners because it is free to install.

One thing that you must be always remembered, never to panic and sell and never sell under the price where you purchase, that's insane.

Locals taught you about Bitcoin and introduced you to this forum. It's good to begin your learning with them and share what you were taught by your locals. Maybe not all things they taught you are correct and if you presented their lessons there, people can enlighten you more, help you to correct inaccurate lessons.

With small amount, you can apply Dollar Cost Averaging. With time and DCA, you will spend very big net capital by DCA and you will accumulate considerable Bitcoin.

Great job! You finally have your own sats. It may be a small amount but it's probably going to be the most memorable purchase you've ever made. It's your first, after all. Among many, hopefully.

Don't worry about it being only a small amount. It is always advised to start small and invest only what you can afford to lose. And big things come from small beginnings.

We're still at an early phase. You're better than those who have set aside a bigger amount but only want to buy when Bitcoin falls to $10,000 or $8,000.

I don't know about your financial status but few dollars worth of Bitcoin won't make anhige difference so keep buying and accumulate as much as you can and keep it untouched for atleast 5 years to see the real returns but your making the investment here and it can be possible with any asset.

It is a good start no matter how big or small your investment is, as long as it is open to your heart. We don't know how big your profit will be in the future. Try to accumulate bitcoin overtime, like buying small sats every time you receive your salary, so that you can accumulate bigger bitcoin overtime. Also, I am not sure if you are aware, but it is safe if you transfer your bitcoin away from exchanges, as you know from the cases that happened last year about exchanges, and it is not safe.

No need to be so happy with what you have started to do because it is only the first step and it would be better to maintain the confidentiality of the assets you have, seeing from the picture you included is the nigerian currency, it would be better for you you to join the community Local and learn more and if possible because you buy in a small amount to make purchases through P2P but must be with a trusted person in your local community to reduce the cost of withdrawal and remember to maintain the confidentiality of your private key.

Way to go rook! You should always look forward in having more and more fractions of Btc, accumulate as much as you can while the price is still at the "affordable" level (since that was your first purchase), you'll be surprised in a year or two on how much your money grow when Bitcoin hits another milestone.
Just always remember, the bigger your accumulated Bitcoins are, the bigger the return would be when time comes.
Another things is that, don't get carried away with the FUDS when Bitcoin crashes.
