^^
Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know, tron, ethereum.. use accounts model unlike bitcoin which uses the UTXOs model. This means it's not possible to freeze or select which coins to spend. When someone sends you some coins it gets credited to your account and your balance gets updated accordingly and when you send coins it gets deducted from your balance.
The dust attack (if exists) on accounts based blockchains is performed for spamming more than deanonymayion.

For ERC tokens and its derivative, it might not be a pain in the ass to handle, but you'll definitely find some trouble if they attack your Bitcoin address or something similar. It is better to use other wallets to manage your addresses if you got attacked by them.
Trust Wallet does not show some of the dusting tokens that I screenshot above and only some official tokens from airdrops that I have participated in, but the tokens have been abandoned. It's just a matter of deactivating them.

But about attacking Bitcoin addresses, is there token dusting for Bitcoin addresses or networks?
I have never heard of it or know about it, because token dusting is more attacking on networks such as ERC20, BSC, Polygon, etc.

If there are too many attacks, it is not good to use it as storage for a lot of assets, I separate the main wallet with a wallet that is specifically for airdrops and some other interactions.

OP, if your issue isn't resolved yet, when I have a similar case, I backup all my phrases, wipe the entire wallet cache and storage, making the wallet look as if it's just newly installed, then import back all your wallet and the error notification message will be gone.

That's true, It's only tokens that are somehow listed as "partners" with TrustWallet or "popular" that are automatically shown on the updated version of TrustWallet; all these airdrops and random scam tokens won't just show up unless you manually import them yourself. It's just a wallet like SafePal mobile wallet and one other one that I have used that usually shows all the tokens in their balance database, both scam and spend ones, etc. You will have to be the one to manually disable them in order to see the tokens or coins you only desire to keep track of.

Maybe it can be a solution. It will also appear for Wallet updates automatically.

-snip-
Yes trust Wallet or similar wallets like safepal only show official Tokens that work with them.
If some scam tokens come in it will not be listed automatically, it has to be activated manually.
That is quite helpful to avoid scam tokens. But there will still be some notifications that there are new tokens coming in.

Using the Filter feature provided by Mobile Wallet will be very useful to avoid token dusting.
Or for features that may be needed regarding addresses affected by dusting, you can use Bitkeep Wallet, there are several security tools that can be used.

Yes. I think both of us refer to the same method of filtering tokens that can work on Trust Wallet, so that's that. Still, you can't do the same thing if they attack Bitcoin and similar networks, since you need coin control to manage the UTXO if you care about deanonymization issues. CMIIW.

But about attacking Bitcoin addresses, is there token dusting for Bitcoin addresses or networks?

Yes, it happens quite often, far before airdrops and stuff like that become popular. I think you can search more about it on this forum, I've seen several threads discuss it in the past. It is understandable that they attack ERC and its derivatives nowadays since they can actually exploit and benefits from careless users due to the weakness in smart contracts.

I use this wallet with small amounts (less than 150 dollars), but today and before broadcast TX, a red notification appeared that I needed to update the wallet, so I went to Gooleplay and made sure that I updated the correct wallet and I was able to send without problems, but that update notification is still there (even it was lastest version)

I checked the Twitter account and did not find any tweet about the need to update the application. In the past, I was able to make transactions without having to download the latest version, so did I miss something?

Have you tried to completely delete the wallet (of course, making sure that you have a secret phrase saved) and install it again? This is the best way out in my opinion. Your problem looks like it's some kind of bug with an update notification, and probably a complete reinstall should help.

I recently switched to Electrum, but the Trust Wallet app remains. It shows version 7.16.2 and does not require an update. Neither in the app not in Google Play.

In general, I do not recommend this wallet, it has a closed source code and it is unclear who carried out the certification. I recently found out detailed information about it, after which I stopped using it.
