You could try to submit a ticket to their support team and ask them why you are seeing the update notification in your wallet despite using the newest release.
Someone mentioned it could be because they increased the maximum TRX transaction fees associated with the sending of Tron-based tokens. Maybe it's that. Another issue they had which was resolved at the end of February according to their Twitter feed is the failure to sign Litecoin transactions.

Some users experienced the same thing while others didn't. Maybe it depends on the assets you have in your wallet? If Trust Wallet fixes an issue for a coin and notices you have it in your portfolio, maybe you will get the notification.

Is Litecoin and/or Tron (or any of its tokens) in your portfolio?
For those who didn't get a notification, do you have LTC or TRX (and/or its tokens) in your wallet?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I no longer use Trust Wallet as a wallet after the update request and have switched to Stack Wallet. I last used Trust Wallet on March 10th. On that date I made a transaction by sending some Bitcoin to the wallet, but the process took an unusual amount of time even though I did not change the fee as set.
Of the several transaction processes I did, the transaction on that day was relatively long.

I don't think it's an error from Trust wallet because I also had a situation like yours when I used Electrum to transfer bitcoins, even taking more than 2 days to complete. I also didn't change the fee as set, but the unexpected problem still happened. I think it was because of the spike in transactions on the network, and that pushed our transactions behind.

Even though I no longer use Trust Wallet on my android smartphone it still hasn't uninstalled the app. In the display menu what's new of the Trust Wallet displayed on the application allows a long transaction situation when sending a small fraction of Bitcoin to another address lies in a spike in transactions on the network.

The what's new display that is listed on the Google Play display is because the application has not been updated as the last announcement of Trust Wallet being updated occurred on March 19.
I also don't know if Trust Wallet users who have updated will display a display like the image above.

I am not sure what you mean when you say you didn't change the fees. That could mean you used a previously configured setting or went along with whatever your client suggested. When you send bitcoin, you have the freedom to decide what fees you will use. You simply didn't pay enough for a quick confirmation.

Trust Wallet is not an exchange that waits and batches transactions. When you broadcast a BTC transaction, it gets shared between the mempools and will get its first on-chain confirmation if there is enough incentive for miners to mine it. If you don't pay enough, you will wait regardless if you used Trust Wallet, Electrum, or Bitcoin Core.

Transaction times vary a lot depending on the network load. If you do not change the fees you will get a different result with the same fees every time. What you can do is take the TX ID and check on mempool.space

At the time of the transaction, the fees may be at a low rate, making the transaction slower than usual but not spending days waiting for the process to complete.
You are right that wherever the transaction is done without paying sufficient fees, we will wait longer and it is not a big deal because it is basically a passing experience.

I noticed that when the cryptocurrency price is increasing, transaction would delay compared to when the price is a bit stable. Sometimes, in such situations, trust wallet would suggest automatically a fee that can make the transaction faster like $2 fee depending on the amount you wish to send. Hence trying to set the fee can waste lots of time and you' may end up regretting why the fee was set to a better amount to fasten the transaction. I remember waiting for 24 hrs to receive a payment, I don't know the wallet the client sent with, but I saw on explorer the fee was below $1.

I use this wallet with small amounts (less than 150 dollars), but today and before broadcast TX, a red notification appeared that I needed to update the wallet, so I went to Gooleplay and made sure that I updated the correct wallet and I was able to send without problems, but that update notification is still there (even it was lastest version)

I checked the Twitter account and did not find any tweet about the need to update the application. In the past, I was able to make transactions without having to download the latest version, so did I miss something?

As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with what you did because you checked their official page to see if they have the latest updates on their apps.

Why? Did you try to make a transaction and it ended up failing to release? Because I read something in the review feedback of truswallet in their playstore that someone tried to use its stakes or one of the pool in dapps and someone suddenly sent an alert message on the smart contract page that the transaction failed.

Maybe you should try to contact the support of trustwallet apps so that you can know more clearly why that is.

Well, this may be your personal decision but i do not think that there is anything to worry about regarding the trust wallet. If there was an issue after the update or if this was a potential scam update not triggered by the trust wallet, many people would have lost the money and this would have been on social media.

If your transaction of yours took more time, it could have been any other issue as sometimes the network is congested but i really don't think that trust wallet update has anything to do with this issue.

After reading your post i also decided to install the stack wallet and see what it looks like. However, when I went to the Play Store, I found this message that the app is still in the beta version (development phase) . You can see it says "Early Access "  Huh

My question is it safe to move our funds to an app that is not fully developed and still in beta mode?

I'm not sure if it's safe to answer if it's still in the development phase. But there are update notifications coming in for the Stack Wallet app.

The Stack Wallet app and other mobile wallet apps are only for small transactions I think there is not much need to store funds just in case.

There is no right or wrong answer here. They are still working on it to create a final product, so it's expected there are certain bugs that users can notice and report. Whether there is a serious vulnerability or even malicious code created by the development team is hard to tell. A beta product doesn't mean there is something wrong with the app where you will lose your money. Something like that can happen whether you are using an early access or final product.

Sure, the wallet is open-source, and you can check that if you know how to. But the average Joe doesn't. And since it's a relatively new product, it surely hasn't been audited and scrutinized as much as Electrum or Bitcoin Core, for example.

My suggestion: Don't hold many coins in any mobile wallet, Stack wallet or any other.
dkbit98 created Stack wallet for mobile? in January. You can read a little about it there.

By the right the update notification sign not supposed show again since you have updated the latest version of the app. By the right Transferring the funds from the old version of the wallet has nothing to with the new version. Though there are some apps that would not permit you until you update the app. We thank God that you removed the funds that were in the wallet successfully. People have been saying here in the forum that Trust wallet is not yet reliable, instead they recommend Electrum. I don't normally use that wallet because of their high rate fees in transaction.

Are you referring to Electrum or Trust wallet when you say the high rate fees? From my experience with Trust Wallet at least, most of the time they set the fees to the average proposed fee for the next block, so if there is a spike you'd definitely pay more if you don't change it. Both of them can be changed though, so just make sure to double-check before you send your transactions.

I don't see the update you're referring to, is it the 'pending transactions auto-appear'? Personally, I get similar issues when I used Trust Wallet in the past, it is just a UI bug though, it won't auto-broadcast transactions iirc. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the slow update of the auto fee when there is a spike on the network. CMIIW.

I understand that you are having problems with your Bitcoin transactions while using Trust Wallet. Actually there are several factors that can affect the length of the transaction time. It should be understood that the Bitcoin transaction time depends not only on the wallet used, but also on the state of the Bitcoin network itself. If the network is busy, the transaction time may be longer than usual.

So far I've been safe using the Trust wallet, but your suggestion would also try using the Stack wallet, I'd also like to see a comparison between the two.

Does anyone know how to avoid dusting attacks with Trust wallet? Because I just withdrew some USDTs through the Tron network from a casino, and I immediately got 2 dust transactions in TRX at my address used for the withdrawal. I don't like very much this kind of things since the allegations of an Operation Choke 2.0 against the crypto ecosystem from the US/Biden administration.

I don't think those attacks are targeted at any specific wallet though, so you'll get more or less the same thing if you use another wallet. I believe this is not related/addressed by the latest update either so you should make a new topic IMO. What we can do is probably disable those tokens from Trust Wallet so that you don't send them by mistake. You also need to isolate them if they target your BTC address or the like of it, so you need a wallet with good coin control to do that.

As far as I'm aware, any address is targeted by these kinds of attacks. They probably monitor platforms like casinos that you used to see which address is active or not, so there is no way to protect yourself unless you stop interacting with any contracts. CMIIW.

The fastest and safest way is to avoid it or hide the dusting tokens. I even got a lot of tokens dusting into one of my wallets.
This is probably due to some of the address's participation in Airdrops etc, so it's a target for token dusting.

And the scammer sending the dusting tokens also looks at how many assets the address has.
If there are some valuable tokens they start sending token dusting.
Especially in the recent Arbitrum Airdrop (ARB) distribution, more and more dusting tokens are sent to random wallets.

Yeah, that's why I mention disabling those tokens unless you refer to something else. I don't think you can hide them from Trust Wallet even on the latest update other than doing that. For ERC tokens and its derivative, it might not be a pain in the ass to handle, but you'll definitely find some trouble if they attack your Bitcoin address or something similar. It is better to use other wallets to manage your addresses if you got attacked by them.
