Correct. Unicode doesn't change the category, it's still digital art, not craft.
Digital art is everything you make in the digital form, craft is physical. You can't take that unicode picture and give it to someone, unless you print, thus it is digital.
Categories are not hard to define if you consider only the end result. Imagine that you make a digital art, print it, cut it into a template and spray paint it onto a surface, like a t-shirt, or a wall of a building. That in my view will fall into the craft category, even though template used to be digital.
