The first match of the 3 match series between the Netherlands women and Papua New Guinea Women which ended in a draw due to rain, was quite disappointing.  The Netherlands women showed their strength in this series and proved their superiority in the first matches.  If we look at the previous ODI series between the two teams the Netherlands women won the series with a good performance.  Today match would also have been won by the Netherlands women had it not rained the Netherlands was close to winning, but due to the weather the match was abandoned.

Right, 1 st game was played today of Netherlands Women's T20I Tri-Series between Netherlands-W team and PNG-W team. But unfortunately, this was abandoned due to rain and this game still continuing in pitch. Both these teams performed in ODI series and according to this series, Netherlands-W team is stronger than PNG-W team both played almost 2 to 3 game and all of them was won by Netherlands-W team. In today game, PNG-W team won the toss and got a chance e to take first bat or bowl. PNG-W chose field first and this game was held on VRA Ground. Netherlands team made 66 runs in 8.2 overs by losing 1 wicket. Their effort is going well and if this game will complete definitely Netherlands will win game. Zwilling scored 42 runs in 28 balls and hitted eight 4s. Let's see in next games PNG-W will prove this wrong.

Scotland W vs Papua New Guinea W

Today, the second match of the T20 tri-series will be between Papua New Guinea Women vs Scotland Women. There have been two matches between these two teams in the ODI series and both the matches were won by Scotland Women. Scotland Women were stronger than Papua New Guinea Women in ODI format but Papua New Guinea Women are stronger team than Scotland Women in T20 format. Papua New Guinea women have performed very poorly in the ODI tri-series. But I hope they will try to perform well in the T20 tri-series. Papua New Guinea women's batting line was very poor in the ODI series, batting line needs to improve in today's match.

Both Netherlands and Scotland have well established club structure in place for women's cricket, which is lacking in Papua New Guinea. Also, PNG women rarely travel to European nations, and therefore the conditions could have been alien for them. During the ODI series PNGW lost all 4 of their matches. But the encouraging signal is that some of these matches were really close. Anyway, I am not expecting much surprise in the T20I series. Either Scotland, or the Netherlands should lift the trophy.

Before that, the two sides took part in a two-match T20I series, which was tied at 1-1, with Ireland pulling off an upset win in the second match. The ODI series will consist of three matches, and will act as a warmup before the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, which is scheduled for next month. A total of 10 teams are taking part, including one associate (Scotland).

The Scotland Women's team has won the few Scotland vs Papua New Guinea encounters in the past. Although Scotland Women's team has more players than Papua New Guinea, today's match is controlled by Papua New Guinea. 
Because of the bowling pressure from the start, Scotland Women scored 117 runs for seven wickets in today's match. Although the match looks easy but in terms of batting, Papua New Guinea women's team has a big target. But they have to perform patiently then only they will have enough chance to win this match.

After playing the three matches competition in 20 overs format now both these sqauds Australia A women squad and India A women sqaud participated next competitive 50 overs format. First match of this One day competition was finished yesterday and next second match will be play next day. In their first match, again Australia A women sqaud surpassed the Indian A women sqaud by defeating to achieve the scores of India A women sqaud which they managed in their first turn. Indian A women sqaud displayed good performance in batting Inning and collected 249 scores. But Australia A women sqaud batter have much power than the batter of Indian A women sqaud because their batters beated very badly the bowlers of India A women sqaud and secured first successful victory in One day cup.

India A Women are having a shaky start in their second WODI match against Australia A Women (Indians lost the first match). The two openers - Shweta Sehrawat and Priya Punia are already back in pavilion, as Australian opening bowler Tayla Vlaeminck returned exceptional figures of 4-3-3-1. Shubha Satheesh and Tejal Hasabnis are at the crease and they need to stabilize the innings now. BTW, the match is taking place at the Great Barrier Reef Arena, which is known for it's spectacular scenery.

Yes, I absolutely agree that they had a genuine chance to win. The target was pretty moderate, they definitely should have performed better.

By the way, Papua New Guinea had given away nine extra in this match. If they didn’t do that, probably the target could have been a lot less and they could have had a better chance. But also on the other hand the Scotland women’s team has given 16 extras. That is really a lot. Without that, the Papua New Guinea women’s team couldn’t have got even close to the target. Well, they didn’t get close anyway as it was a low-scoring match. But overall the Papua New Guinea team should have performed much better. They just got backed by the Scotland women’s bowlers. And by the way, they should also work on their running between the wickets.

The first ODI match of the ODI series between the hosts Ireland Women and the visiting Sri Lanka Women will begin today. So far the performances of these two teams have been relatively similar as they have faced each other in previous T20 series. In that series, both teams performed equally to their strengths and both teams managed to win one match each. However, the performance of the Ireland women's team in the second T20 match is really promising. Against Sri Lanka Women's team we saw that they lost miserably in the first match but improved themselves and came back well in the second match and batted brilliantly.

Australian Women A team is very strong and India team cannot win matches unless they show some exceptional batting skills. Also there is no one who can take quick wickets for the India team and they are looking in trouble in this whole series.
