In a recent interview, Shoaib Malik Former wife and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza told that the Women's Premier League (WPL) is the major milestone in bringing Indian Women's Cricket uplift in India. She is also the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women's team mentor and has vast experience of women in sports and the challenges being faced by them.

She has been an inspiring and role model for many Indian girls who want to adopt sports and cricket as a profession. 

"WPL has been the biggest revelation for the women's cricket that has happened. Because women's cricket has always been played. It's not like they haven't played. They just haven't gotten the recognition that the male cricketers used to get. And now with this platform, with the WPL, I think it's become really, really cool for them to be able to showcase their talent and also show how good they really are at what they do. The more eyeballs, the more TV, the bigger the sport gets," Sania said.

Well.. I don't know whether WPL was a revelation or not. But what I know is that Sania Mirza completely failed as the mentor of Royal Challengers Bengaluru women. I would have rather preferred someone like Diana Edulji or Jhulan Goswami, who have some experience in cricket at the top-level. Even Mithali Raj would have been a great choice. What is the point in having a tennis player as the mentor? What did that achieved for the RCB-W? WPL has been a grand success, but Sania doesn't have much to do with it.

I did not get your point of view. Royal Challengers Bangalore Women won by WPL 2024 final by beating Delhi Capitals. So what else you would want from a team whose mentor is Sania Mirza to have won the title 

Also, in the league games, their performance was quite ok. They had won four matches and lost the four matches and stood at the number 03 spot.
It was a class act from them to beat Mumbai Indians Women in the Eliminator match and then to beat Delhi Capitals in the final. I do not say that this is all because of Sania Mirza but whatever she has mentored to the players, it has worked well for them. Hasn't it?

I agree with you. That was one sided match. England Women International ODI cricket team played excellent in first 2 match but they performed very bad in today's match. I think,they underestimate the New Zealand International ODI cricket team . New Zealand team end series with win . New Zealand International ODI cricket team was looking very confident and they were very energetic and they stoped England International ODI cricket team on only 194 runs and they performed best in this match.Youngesters played well in this match. The overall performance of England International Women cricket team was very good but they were looking over confident and that's why they lost this match.

I like New Zealand Women International ODI cricket team because that team is very hard working. Their fielding is top class and that's why they are winner of last match. Also batters played very well , especially Sophie ,who played very well and made century for her country.

The rain comes as a blessing for which team? This a difficult question as both the teams would be thinking that if there was no rain they could have won. The rain came at such a point where that match was even positioned and any team could have won from that point onwards.
