I think creating a new thread for reviews and rating is a good idea in terms of convenience.  Even though we already have an announcement thread for each gambling company, it would be great if there is a thread that has the list of the casino dedicated to ratings and reviews.  

But, as good as the idea sound, I think it requires lots of labor for maintenance and updates.  If anyone can do the @OP idea then I think it is great in terms of convenience.

This will be a great advantage for us especially for beginner gamblers as it will give them less chances to be scam from gambling. But it will surely requires another hard work on part of the forum just to keep the convenience for the sake of gamblers. However, gamblers should also do their part when gambling and never gamble more than an amount they can afford to lose. Just gamble responsibly, and never see gambling as a source of living rather than an entertainment.

I don't think that putting a casino review board under the Economy section is a good idea. I don't see why it wouldn't fit as a sub board in this board (gambling)? I don't see how the section would work practically either. In addition, this:...

 

Threads with reviews like this, can be manipulated by the competition. It does not take a lot of effort to create "dummy" accounts to attack the reputation of their competition. Alt accounts can be bought with little effort and a thread like that can be derailed by these accounts. 

We have a scam accusation section on this forum, where we deal with "dark" operators... and I think it is quite affective to sort out most of these issues.    False accusations are pulled apart in that section, so the chance for manipulation are smaller, because it is focused on that.

On point! The forum, as we've seen in the past, is always vulnerable to such cheating and abusive efforts when it comes to providing ratings or reviews and stuff. If users can abuse Merit system, which is clearly the biggest abuse preventive system implemented on the forum till date, then I doubt they can pretty easily do it with what OP is demanding.

Forums structure and how things are dealt with right now is basically just okay for casinos and their reputation. It is totally up to them if how they can keep their reputation on the forum clean and deal with accusations and blames with grace.

Is an excellent point. There would be nothing stopping well-funded campaigns from manipulating the board with paid posters, reviews, etc. in their own threads or negative posts in their competition. All of a sudden, the board would be highly inaccurate and would be a tool for the worse than for the better.

don't agree with your statement, it's just a waste of time for Mods to create a dedicated gambling review board and here (on the gambling board) it's much better with all the gambling sites here and of course with honest reviews in the ANN of every gambling.

and on the other hand there are casino review sites like BTCGOSU and they also have ANN threads here and that is good enough when it comes to looking at reviews related to the casino you are looking for. as some other members have said here if create a gambling review board under the economy board, that will be very dangerous in terms of manipulation such as creating shill accounts and making FUD attack each other between casinos.

In conclusion, it is not a mandate that bitcointalk must contain everything casino and gambling, not saying its a bad thing if bitcointalk should have a board for every arm of casino and gambling, but this will put a heavy workload on the mods, that is if they really want the forum to continue to maintain its good name and reputation.
Casino reviews and rating is something that have always been done by external platforms, and it's all been good, I don't support the idea of we having a casino review and rating board on this forum, reasons I have stated before and you all have also said it, majority would never want to talk ill of the casino they are earning from through signature and other means of promotion, and this alone will result in reviews and ratings that are not honest and true, thereby deceiving gamblers in to making decisions they might end up regretting.

That's already happened here in the forum, the participants were paid for making a review on a gambling platform, the difference is that even if the review is negative, it's okay and you're still paid and that's what I think is good about it.

Not that necessary because if we do look around, we do have already some dedicated websites which do poses out those casino ratings and its true that if ever there would be some decision on having that ratings

board then it would really be that prone to be spam out specially on this forum.We know that creating new accounts is just easy and this what makes the poll or voting would really be not that precisely be true
because it would be having those kind of biases.
This is why it would be better on sticking into those known review/guide sites that currently existing as of today.They are really that reliable and worth of your time to read up at least.

What relation did this post help here in the topic? staking is not part of what we are talking here mate instead it is about the review board that OP wanted to implement here in bitcointalk.
I believe also that we need to have here is a constant communication , or i mean a single thread that will be put all the question about gambling site that is new or having issues.
in that thread everyone can contribute specially all those long time gambler that knows how it works.

Your personal thoughts are right, people will easily become biased for any given reason to choose a good or a bad casino from their perspective. People getting more benefits from a platform will surely rate them higher than those that don't provide them much. Such systems can also be easily abused by platform owners or representatives by hiring fake raters just to increase their ratings.

So it is basically better to let things be how they are. Currently, a casino's integrity, trust, and other services through the forum are known by visiting their ANN and also by seeing the trust score of their representative.

Although Bitcointalk is not meant for that and the purpose of this community is not regulate gambling actives. Anybody can create a post and create a list of casinos and there functions for others to take a look on different casinos they mighty be interested in.

Manipulation and fake reviews could easily be done on almost all platforms especially if creating accounts is as easy as ABC. That is a good idea yet not necessary anymore because ANN threads and professional gamblers' suggestions on this forum are already helpful to those who seek legit casinos. When it comes to negative reviews, scam accusations will also be the right thread. Simply no! It will not make any contributions except unnecessary spam! Whatever you wish to write (positive or negative) you are welcome to do that in any casino ANN thread, like each of us. If you have some undisputed case with some specific casino you are welcome to open a scam accusation in that section.

In the end, we can't compare our own (amateur) reviews with professional reviews by people who really tried deposits/withdrawals with higher amounts, and tested all games with lower and higher bets. Above all that, have experience with gambling in general and everything that comes with that. One of them is https://www.btcgosu.com/ for sure, Efi and his rating on the speaks for itself.

There is no way one can create a transparent honest review system anywhere. Even on the review sites like trust pilot, we see people sending fake positive reviews (maybe someone paid them).
Bitcointalk should not be turned into a casino reviewing site and also when any newbie can come up with his her fake review. Remember people offered ANN threads bumping services, this suggestion may help spammers create fake reviewing paid services 

For me, if  you want to judge a casino sites, ANN thread of the casino is the best place to know all the feedback plus the update on the casino sites.

For me, if  you want to judge a casino sites, ANN thread of the casino is the best place to know all the feedback plus the update on the casino sites.

Review sites are really that prone into those bias feedbacks since everyone could really post up their feedbacks which if you are that someone who do rely with these sites then it wont really be a guarantee that it would ensure you that you are on the right place.This is why i do agree that it would be better if you do check out ANN threads of this forum which i could say that it is really that worth to read out
since the people of this forum could give out those honest reviews except into those newbie accounts. This is why if you are looking for some real and legit feedbacks on crypto
based sites or platforms then finding their ANN threads of this forum would be ideal.

This would be cool but I don’t see much of a point from bitcointalk’s perspective. Unless they were selling higher ratings or something. I also think it would be tough to get honest reviews when it’s likely that the reviewers have previous relationships with some of the casinos or possible even on their payroll. Unless the forum paid more than the advertisers, I can’t see this working too well.
