Somehow they managed to trust in an experiment - juggernaut standing on 2 thin matches and wobbling from fall to collapse for the last 50 years called "fiat money" AKA paper backed by nothing. The only thing they needed was "bread and circuses".

When I saw him after many years, he told me about it and how he can never invest in any coin or token again.

I will advice people, especially the newbies to just still trust in bitcoin.

I live in country here older people are not very educated to understand crypto, they like that old ideas of making money like small business, employment etc, they only want to earn money, they don't want to understand bitcoin.

Technology advancements have made things easier to notice over time, but we chose not to pursue further investigation. I am not surprised that young people are the ones who are most familiar with cryptocurrencies. You are right. People should be careful when it comes to trying new things. And especially, they need to do research. Not spend all of their money on something just because it's popular.
Also about some coins that made a big fall: the same happens in Forex or other regular exchanges. Companies come and go, sometimes they go bankrupt.

But I also see here a chance for people from all over the world to earn money in crypto - a legit way. And it would be good if they could spend this money in their country. The one thing that is needed is good education about what crypto is and what possibilities come with it.

This is so true, unfortunately! I more and more believe "debts" are mostly used as a means to make someone else richer. I don't think that people gaining trust in cryptocurrency is what matters.

To me, it is people learning how to use it, what it is, how to trade and take risk.

These things already happen in Europe. In my country, the government is trying to get people to get rid of paper money, by adding higher fees to their credit cards. Eg. you need to make at least 5 transactions per month using a credit card; if not, you will pay a higher fee. I even heard about situations that have place in Sweden (if I am not mistaken) when the government sees where families with children spend their money. And if they saw there were a lot of transactions for alcohol, they sent a child care worker, to see what the situation was at their home. And it all leads to it. My big concern is the fact that not many people realize that.

Here, I don't agree with you. I would say our privacy is limited, BUT - if you do your best, you can hide some of your actions and remind anonymus. Pay in cash, don't share your location with Google, and use a VPN, for example. When it comes to money that comes from crypto, I can only refer to how it is here, where I live. From the money that I earn in exchanges and there is KYC, I need to pay tax. But if I have some other money, that is not related to my (aidrops or exchanges that don't require KYC) I can withdraw this at an ATM. Some amount of money, like 1,000 euros per transaction and 15,000 euros per person per day and this is without KYC. And its up to me if I will reveal the money.

That's a good point of view. I must ask about that. But I think not many will know the answer to this question. Of course for those aged 20-35 years who know Bitcoin, because they see a lot of advertisements that cross every day. The ad is served by the exchange when the exchange continues to look for new users. I'm sure they will open every ad that passes on their homepage. But they don't understand how to get it. Another problem is that they are still afraid to try something new, especially since the exchange generally asks for the identity of the user. Let me do some simple math here:

Bitcoin is about 14 years old now, and if you subtract 14 from 40 and 60, you will get 26 and 46, respectively, which probably means that at their 26 years, they were too busy fighting to exert themselves on something else and never cared what Bitcoin was, but at 46, they are now old and facing some family business or something else that matters and never care to take a look at blockchain technology because they feel it is something that may not be worth it for the future of their children (lol), just my opinion. I believe there were people who heard about Bitcoin in 2020, when the entire crypto market was really red, but they sluggishly declined because they thought it would not be worth it after all. But in 2021, after the price saw a great rise, those same people will say, "Oh, I was once told to give it a try."

It can all be classified as crypto. But specifically, I like Bitcoin more, and if one is dealing with altcoins, you can get into a big risk that can result in a total loss of funds, like with a project that was only developed to scam investors or a project that is not able to hit its hard cap or soft cap in their first token sales. can list on an exchange and also get delisted due to low liquidity. In this 21st century, we are now in the computer age, and people should really have it at the back of their minds and improve themselves towards the latest innovations. Crypto is one of the good innovations, and those who really understand it are making good earnings. In fact, I thought that currencies like that were still on gold standard, which hasn't been the case for many decades! I was very young, that's also true, but still, that's not an excuse, and I'm not sure how much I'd know about the traditional financial system without getting interested in cryptos and how they are different. So if people don't understand Bitcoin, it's quite natural, typical. When you talk about cryptocurrency or when people here the teem cryptocurrency, the first on the list to come to there mind is bitcoin and that doesn't come as a surprise. Why would you be forcing this technology to all people? Allow them to not engage if they are really not into it. Not all people are into investments and that is an enough reason. In terms of adoption bitcoin is doing well, it seems to me that some people out there want bitcoin to be adopted by everyone at a speed that is not realistic, if you take a look at other technologies like the internet, cellphones, gunpowder and cars you will see it took them decades to become widely adopted.

It obviously understandable why our parents, grandfather, and grandmother do not know what cryptocurrency is, And even these days there are only a few people that know and understand bitcoin or cryptocurrency is, and they are probably traders or investors that buy bitcoin, Bitcoin was created on 2009 and probably started to get popular in 2011 I just stated my bitcoin or investment journey around 2017 so it takes years before I even know what bitcoin is and learn what it is.

The 100x times are over, at least when you look at things in the short- or mid-term. I doubt that we will go from 22k to 2.2 million within four years time like we went from let's say 150 to 15k between 2013 and 2017. A 100x would bring Bitcoin's total market capitalization close to 50 trillion USD and I believe we agree that this is not going to happen within just a few years. If we keep this momentum and stayed true to our goal of letting every human soul in this planet know about bitcoin and its benefits I think there will come a time in the near, maybe even the foreseeable future where people would all have a designated bitcoin wallet, as well as be informed about bitcoin as well.

Older people would really be sticking on things that they are really getting used to which is on fiat and other traditional business that we've known and the rest would really be putting them in doubt whether

well, I think that time has come how? well if we look at the stats they tell us that number of crypto users is increasing day by day. if you look at a report global-cryptocurrency-ownership by Statista. you can see the number of crypto users increases year by year and I found only two countries (Columbia and Peru) whose number of users decreases over time. Why? well, I found no regulatory ban on crypto in both country then why did number decrease that's another discussion. for now, I can say lack of knowledge, misguidance, and putting money in the crypto market without a proper guide or simply following a fake expert may become causes of great loss. so knowledge is useful whether you are involved in that field or not.

Like even the mentioned people either they are Gen-Z or millennials, basic knowledge of dominating technology is necessary or I must say if you found someone with wrong accusations or with less or no knowledge. you should teach them the basics and how much impact blockchain and crypto can make.

Now, you are asking when crypto will act like normal currency. well, I must say that depends on many factors like regulations by the government, if they banned it or prohibit its use then that person could now enjoy the features and luxuries of crypto and blockchain. maybe the less approach towards crypto exchanges or banned in many countries (KYC) could be a reason for those people who do not trust crypto just because their government does not trust it. so factors that break the trust of traditional people are many but we should let them know about the unleashed technology and the impact that it could make on various sectors like finance, agri, production, industries, management, etc. list is long.

Well it is simple, older people don't understand cryptocurrency because this is more of a new thing just about 14 years old, and most older people might not be really paying attention to new techs like this especially if it is something they can't even feel compare to younger people that are "naturally tech-savvy" and wants to explore new opportunities. Yes I would say I have a decent understanding about digital decentralized currencies, but what I often notice is that when asked for advantages of Bitcoin, people answer it is about speed and transaction fees. First of all that isn't true and there are cheaper ways to transact, and speed is also not a strong argument in favor of Bitcoin (depending on the use case at hand of course and whether it is a transcontinental transaction or not).

As I outlined before, it is about control over your assets and everything that goes along with transactions. Freedom, privacy, security, neutrality, capital mobility, and many other things. Bitcoin has no feelings or intentions or shareholders it must please. A bank has a lot of incentives to spy on you and make their decisions accordingly. And whether we like it or not, in the end they are subject to governmental interests and actions and will act such that they please the government. Collecting data is one big aspect that banks can do in the interest of a government.

Probably main reason is in this: even in this forum many don't really know what bitcoin is and which opportunities does it give. It is just an investment asset for many and that's all. How can they tell about Bitcoin to others if they just can say that it is like a lottery and you can win (or lose). In these words it seems like a Ponzi scheme. And bitcoin is much more than just a lottery chance or investment asset, it is an alternative financial system in which people return their right on controlling their own money, a decentralized alternative, a deflationary alternative. But it is still to complicated to be understood by majority and that's why it is not so easy to explain how bitcoin works and why is it so prospective.

Of course the old generation will not accept or understand this bitcoin thing as compare to the younger generation. Old people are resistant to changes and hence don't expect that they will easily understand the crypto.

The other major reason why crypto is not yet adopted by many people is because the government does not accept it. If we compare the stance of bitcoin in different countries, most of them will not be willing to accept them and rest of them will be thinking on how to control and stop the spread of crypto.

Of course the old generation will not accept or understand this bitcoin thing as compare to the younger generation. Old people are resistant to changes and hence don't expect that they will easily understand the crypto.

The other major reason why crypto is not yet adopted by many people is because the government does not accept it. If we compare the stance of bitcoin in different countries, most of them will not be willing to accept them and rest of them will be thinking on how to control and stop the spread of crypto.

Advancement in technologies are rarely welcome in the start. Its just a matter of time before people start realizing that new product has benefits for them and the adoption phase starts. You're probably right about this, there's not much crypto education available to young people these days. In my country, bitcoin is not used as a payment method but can be used as an investment. But honestly, the number of people who know about crypto is too small and have distorted thoughts.

I would never say that you educate them about crypto at your own risk. Because you can never tell what happens in the crypto market. The question is in which shape or form it will come into our lives for as long as there are the old guys who determine how politics are done and in which way surveillance technology is being set up. Some people do think that they had missed up the train which is partly true but if we do zoom out then it is really just that too early to make up conclusions on being late.Yes, 10 years or a decade might already be that

20% is already a nice number and I think many countries has a percentage which is lesser than that but as time goes by these numbers will just increase though we can do something to fasten it and that is by educating the people around us about Bitcoin and then using Bitcoin as one of the payment methods if we have a business. We can post banners, stickers or something else which makes them aware that our shop is Bitcoin friendly.

It is possible that the majority of people will have a trust in crypto and make this as a part of their daily lives but there are still people who will prefer to use the old fiat system because this is where they are comfortable at. We shall only respect their decision.

That is if they are truly showing some signs of interests, yes, I believe that there may be some who have that attitude but that's the end of it because even if they are interested to know about what bitcoin is, they don't show or move like they are indeed interested to know more as they are not doing their own research. I mean, how can we know from such thing that takes our curiosity if we aren't doing something, right?

Trust comes into play when people are allowed to know about a particular technology in its original form.
Many people are deceived about cryptocurrency and the majority of them are not willing to make personal research to know what cryptocurrency is about and especially Bitcoin.
If the people who uses the fiat system understands how rotten the system is and how their money loses value on a daily basis. They will embrace the bitcoin. This is an important issue, can people trust cryptocurrency.  Cryptocurrency is electronic money, many people don't trust it and most people don't know about cryptocurrency.However, out of all other coins Bitcoin is the least risky and cryptocurrency investment considered to be very safe.The number of people investing in cryptocurrencies is high among young people and their level of knowledge is also high. This trend is very less among older people, because they have very little knowledge about these accesses.The country is going digital day by day and I think cryptocurrency will come in everyone's life.

Trusting cryptocurrency was a hard thing at the beginning, because it was new for the people to accept something that has got value without any physical presence. Slowly people got used to it as a result of transition happening with the traditional fiat system taking the digital format. What they wanted is some sort of security that will back the cryptocurrency market because their people are that there is no sort of guarantee that the market won't go to zero in the future. Totally agree with you that a lot of people who don't know about Bitcoin or haven't taken full knowledge about it.,such people think Bitcoin is gambling or scam, but still there are people among old generation who consider Bitcoin as very profitable and safe investment. if seen, it has come down to us through the people of the old generation.

Trust in crypto or not is a matter of choice, and no one is going to force anybody to invest their money in crypto, it's either you love it or you hate it, but for those who love it, crypto will be here to stay and there will be a better way to make people start using crypto without getting on the bad side of the government, hopefully.

The world is gradually growing up and improving, mostly here in Africa, technology has been introduced towards our system, before people believe in hard work or Job been done and get paid physical as salary, but currently cryptocurrency market has come into the system of youths but government are against it, because government has no control over crypto transaction, they are always interested what can benefit them alone base on transaction charge's fee, which is also applicable to other western world. Today I was reading some news and I think that news was also related to the topic of discussion. Trust in cryptocurrency can be defined as Bitcoin and as already discussed many times the whole market cycle is based on Trust sentiments and potential sentiments. Bitcoin has faced many many ups and downs in the journey of a few years and it will face more as well but the reason that still Bitcoin is trading like a mountain is the community's trust in the goals of Bitcoin.

Here if I say bitcoin there was a time when bitcoin had no value. Now bitcoin is very valuable to everyone because of the position it is in. So I think if something has no value no one uses it. It's great to know that there are still people who can make money from bounty campaigns, I thought it was useless and didn't bring any profit. Patience is extremely important if you want to succeed in this market. But I think hold it for good is not a good idea, especially for shitcoins.
Hold long with bitcoin, and say no to shitcoin, especially bounty tokens, you should sell when they are profitable because I don't see any tokens from bounty campaigns that can last long enough.
