It's better to go for both, I choose to invest in bitcoin still because it's less risky than other altcoins, but yes I throw small amount of money into some good altcoins too but most of my is in Bitcoin, we have crypto portfolio for risk management, just use some percentage for Bitcoin investment and split the rest in top 10 altcoins and the rest in top 200, or which other ways you believe is better.
