I came here out of desperation. I am looking for an emergency USDT loan. My funds are being held in my TRUST wallet until I pay capital gains taxes. I have confirmation from customer service, once the taxes are paid, my funds will be immediately released and even are giving me an ETH award that is double the tax amount once paid. I obviously have no collateral because these funds are being held. Is there any company that provides such a loan? Thank you.

I will advice you to be very careful of scammers, they might want to scam you. If another person is involved that you do not know, know that the person only want to scam you.

Although Trustwallet is a close source wallet and not reputable because of that in my opinion, but you have your seed phrase and you still have the full control over your own money on the wallet. Although, we can not fully trust a close source wallet.

I have not heard that Tether Lab seized USDT on noncustodial wallet because of tax before. If you sell or trade, you can be taxed, but no tax for sending crypto according to what I have known before.

Can this be done if they are holding my funds? On my wallet home page, it says I hold practically nothing because it's all in the mining pool. However, when I open the browser, that's where it says I have 315K USDT balance.

It means you're the only one responsible for the taxes not the wallet itself or the developer of the trust wallet you should be careful you might be using a fake wallet or phishing site.

In addition, no one will able to give a loan to newbies without collateral so it is most likely a scam attempt either.

The site is Verirax.com. First they said I can't use the funds I earned in the mining pool (153,364 USDT) to pay the capital gains tax, which is 40% (62545 USDT). They said upon completion of paying this tax, they will give me an ETH award double the tax (125091 USDT). And I have only 3 days to complete then there will be a 1% fee. If it's after 5 days my account will be frozen and the tax will increase by another 20%.

The site is scam just by the first look at it  

First they said I can't use the funds I earned in the mining pool (153,364 USDT) to pay the capital gains tax, which is 40% (62545 USDT).

Capital gains tax is taxed on gains earned from an investment, in this case the "mining pool investment gains/profits"
They should be deducting the money from the "gains" not asking you to send more money…lol.

it's all a lie. Don't waste your time on them

Unfortunately, it's in their hands now and do not be deceived into sending them more money because they won't send it back to you.

This is the true trust wallet site - https://trustwallet.com/, and I am afraid they won't help you recover the funds because;

1. Most crypto transactions are irreversible
2. They are not responsible for your funds or how you send the funds. Read their terms of service.

What guarantee do you have that they will send your money it's an old scam I have seen it in casinos, on a Ponzi scheme, and it's an old scheme in cloud mining, you don't know so you keep trusting them but here in Bitcointalk, we have seen it hundreds of times, if you think you are screwed its time to accept the reality that you have been scammed.

I believe you transacted with a scammer on the wrong website. Trust wallet cannot hold your funds because it has a strong security system that can protect your funds from hackers and other threats, or your wellet has been attempted without your knowledge.

When any sites ask for a small amount of deposit (eg: 1$) then it might be acceptable but when it ask a good number of amount or large amount then it is 100% scam. Think yourself  if they can give you double of the amount then why they will ask you for such a large number of deposit.
