we all are free to post comments, but when posting a count down to your next rank, Make sure to read the rules carefully and follow them, doing otherwise will have your post deleted by me.
And also note that this program is for those that have achieved the required Activity to move to the next rank, but are lacking in Merit(s), if your have achieved the Merit(s) required for your next rank and lacks enough Activity, receiving more Merit(s) through this program won't help you rank up immediately, but will in the long run though.

This is announcing or posting -(and keeping post constantly updated)- the number of Merit(s) left to get you into your next rank.

Benefits:-
If you post the number of merit(s) left for you to move to the next rank here, Merit sources, Any one and Everyone watching this topic with lots of sMerit to share might decide to take a look at your post history, to find posts that are Merit worthy to Merit so as to help you ascend.

Please note that you stand a better chance of being Assisted/Merited into your next rank if --

• you have little amount of Merit(s) left to ascend to your next rank.
• If your posts are of utmost quality.

RULES

• 1.To avoid or minimize spam, it is henceforth required that You must be a jr member rank and up to make a count down post on this thread - 1 merit is not so hard to earn on your own I believe.
• 2.For orderliness, and to differentiate Count down Posts from ordinary comments, You are mandated to use the format below to make/create your count down post.

• 3.It is mandatory that You must be less than 25 merits from next rank to make a count down post on this thread.
  
• 4.As you get Merit(s), Try as much as possible to keep your count down post updated with the current number(s) of Merit left to shift you to your next rank.
• 5.You must have achieved enough activity level for the next rank before applying here, do not make a count down post if you are shot of activity for your next rank.
  
• 6.We know you would like your count down post to be on the first or last page of the thread for better visibility, but making a countdown post on every page is Spam and that's not so cool, So you are required to only ask (make a count down post) once in a 7 days period, and the limit is 3 posts for the same rank, any count down post made for the same rank after the 3rd one will be deleted.
• 7.After you have achieved your new rank, DO NOT USE THIS THREAD AS A PLACE TO ANNOUNCE YOUR NEW RANK, you can announce your new rank on Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great!
• 8.Failure to Adhere and comply with the above rules will result to a total boycott of your request, and your post stand a chance of being deleted for spamming.

I would also add the rule that whoever applies here must have enough activity for the next rank.
I have often seen users count down the merits to member rank while having only 20-30 activities, or trying to reach jr. member rank (1 merit requirement) just after three posts. completely open for manipulations and building rank/activity points through bounty shit.

V1 Already locked because the first version was not self-moderated but the first version had a lot of spamming. Thank you very much OP for the V2 Self Moderated thread. But there will be no spamming in this thread as before because more spamming will force the OP to delete the spamming posts.

New rules for countdown which should strictly followed...

Junior member merit (+1-9) CD to Member
Member merits(75-99) CD to full member
Full member (225-249) to Sr Member Countdown
Sr Member (475-499) to Hero member
Hero member (975-999) to Legendary

But One shouldn't countdown before Activity reached.

One more suggestion that might be useful, you should also consider in my opinion. I mean anyone breaking the rules, spamming, then there's no arguing when the OP delete the post.

I agree, the same goes for those who rank Jr, Member, Full Member, Sr Member and Hero Member. Countdown to the next rank should only only suggested to anyone who already has enough activity to advance through the ranks, but they only need small amount of merit from the next rank. This is a great idea.

This is a great suggestion to avoid abusing the essence of the thread. I notice too that many comment on the previous thread received merits even if it’s just a regular post. The previous thread becomes an indirect merit begging thread than serve its purpose.

Good job OP on creating a better version. This is a very hard task for you to maintain proper order to the thread rules. Kudos and this is my last post here until my next rank up.

I welcome your initiative Fivestar4everMVP in creating this thread after the previous thread was very chaotic with many users who only had the enthusiasm to be helped but could not clearly read the rules written down even though you marked them in bold.

Personally I really support any suggestions and rules contributed by anyone because I think those ideas can help the OP especially the additional rules proposed by @examplens.

I need to tell the OP that I'm also monitoring this thread and will warn those who fail to pass the read test.

@Fivestar4everMVP thanks for making a self moderated topic and making it a little easier to enforce some rules. Great initiative by you as far as the topic goes, but has definitely been abused by a few.

No offense to newbie ranks but I think it's a great rule to have the must be a jr member or higher to apply. Newbies need to take time to learn the forum, not come in here and try to be Legendary rank in the 1st month(I know it's not possible, just making a point).

Hey, great incentive for active members to get their posts rewarded. 
I believe self-moderation is suited very well to remove unnecessary spam.

CoinEraser also mentioned your topic in our German local board and I've included it in my list, where we are collecting incentives for lower ranked members to get rewarded for good posts.

I feel that this one is quite easy to achieve, since they only need 9 to rank up and could already start posting right after gaining 1 Merit. Perhaps start from 5 instead?

whether it's necessary or not. but when someone breaks thread rules. and you put them on your ignore list. there's no need to do that. you just need to pass anything from the account that does violate now and also in the future.

anyways, thanks OP, you heard a lot of feedback from members who did care about the intent and purpose of your previous thread. I hope you will be more active in this thread to check if there are posts that need to be disciplined.

@Fivestar4everMVP (OP) Thank you for creating a new countdown topic. And hopefully the new rules will help prevent spamming. There was a lot of spamming in the previous topic where a new brother member after creating an account would make two or three posts in the account to count down to earn merit and this kind of spamming was happening constantly. Even though they were warned against spamming, they kept spamming. Which is why the decision to lock Tropic was so important that you made it. And reopening this threat to help achieve new ranks is highly commendable. Hope everyone will follow the rules to prevent spamming and post here.

It is very important to have threads like this. There are many members who cannot pass to the next rank due to some merit. But there are many members who use this thread dishonestly. For them, this thread may seem like trouble to many. However, I expect every member here to work according to the rules.

@op I thank you for your work. With that I thank the large rank members of this forum. If they had not applied the merit of members like us, we might never have passed the high ranks. But of course we will be active and we will support those who are not able to get high rank due to some merits.

If you want to post countdown to the next rank in this thread, just submit a no-frills app before or after.

Even though I don't really think you are begging, but request for merit is never good. Let someone review your posting history, it's just enough to submit an application.

Anyway, good to see the OP is finally considering the advice. This will be very useful, especially to prevent spam and minimize anyone who violates the rules.

Thanks Op for the initiative, after taking advice from some of the contributors on the Fun Thread (V1) you have now launched V2 with some changes to prevent spammers from multiplying.
The warm welcome from forum users is still very thick, especially the suggestions for some additional rules from them. In addition to some of the rules already in Op, it's also worth considering to keep this Thread on track. There should be no congratulations from anyone for someone's success in ranking up after receiving merit assistance here.

It only takes 8 more merits I think it's not so hard for you to earn which will take you to Sr. Member rank. I also think that our friend _BlackStar gave a very wise response Just leave the countdown app and let others review your posts.
I have tried to open your profile and I would like to say that you need to edit the countdown app for the next rank.

My suggestion for you, besides the gambilng and local boards, what if you also actively post on some other boards so that your knowledge can be useful for others like me because posting on local boards makes others not all understand the language even though it is useful for your local friends.

Good initiative to open a new thread, because old threads are very messy because many participants who are doing the countdown to the next ranking do not obey the rules, self-moderated topics are much easier for you to control and if someone does not follow the rules you can take action to delete them. I am also one of those who frequent your first thread and try to help those who are getting closer to the next rankings.
