Totally agreed with your point, because considering the momentum and type of the crypto, zoom that this is also a good time to invest in BTC no doubt if we bought it around like 30k dollars then maybe it can go below 28 k or maybe 25k dollars but let just say if we are really want to do our investment for 4 years of halving cycle of BTC then it's mean it's the for long run,

We Have to wait patiently and restrict our emotions on fud and news cycle because when we do short term trading we fall prey to many new cycles many market behaviour and sentiments that controls us but if we do the same in the long term investment that will be more detrimental.

There is no certainty for what you are saying, even though the price has crossed $30k, that doesn't mean it won't go back to $20k again. Don't rush to assert anything with bitcoin, bitcoin is unpredictable.
But it is true that we should invest now if we don't have bitcoin before, don't wait because there is still a possibility, as you said, and we will miss the buying opportunity if we just wait and do nothing. Use the DCA strategy, and we won't miss any opportunity whether the market goes up or down in the future.

Nobody can forecast how much bitcoin will cost in the near future. I believe you should be the one to decide when to buy in bitcoin because you are expected to know the best moment to invest in bitcoin as a bitcoin investor.Because you intend to invest for a long time, the price of bitcoin should not bother you because even if the price drops while you've put your money in, it won't be your problem because you intend to live there for a long time. If I were to invest now, I would do so since we still believe the price will rise higher than it is presently.

I am lucky in this matter because I entered in market when btc price was 10k but i did not buy with good amount. Altcoins give me good profit. Cake token did 4x for me and other meme coins also gave me huge profit. I didn't invest any penny from my pocket. All money that i invested and used for trading was airdrop fund. in three years i made more than 20k$.

My cousin follow me and start investing when Btc along with other altcoins was in full boom. unfortunately after his investing market crashed and his token fall below 2x. You cannot predict the price of any token because its decentralized system and even token owner didn't know what will happen with his token tomorrow.

I had to do a little playback in my head. You know, in 2019 that $5k of yours would've bought you slightly more than one Bitcoin because price dipped to $3,200 even. That would've been around 1½ in quantity. Given today's worth, that would've been around $45k. All that happening within just four years and it would've done X9 of your initial investment. It's because of events like this that make a lot of investors conclude that hodling is the best approach to amassing wealth in cryptocurrency.

I think it is important to remember that you could reach those levels if you could buy at the very bottom. The current bottom was at around 16k, if it reaches to around 100k that would be close to what you are saying, a bit more and you have it for sure. That means if you hit the bottom and then it goes to a good number than you would be able to do it again and I am talking about buying at the bottom of the current market, not even the previous one.

So, it's obvious that if people could buy at the right time, making a lot of money in bitcoin is still possible. It is not going to be like this forever, so people should rush. Because eventually having 500k+ per bitcoin means it will not go up 9x anymore or at least not going to do that very easily, should be pretty difficult.

OP is planning long for his investment. even he plans for a new ATH or ATH to achieve in the future.
when you get the chance to buy, why not now? because he clearly knows how much ATH Bitcoin was in the previous bull season. and now there has been quite a decline. whether waiting is the right choice or not, but for me, when I have the opportunity to buy. never hesitate. it might be different if the plan is short term or trading.

You can buy it whenever you want as long as you have some spare cash. Even if I have a spare, I'll buy it with bitcoin because I don't want to miss the train like in the past because we were waiting for the dip but it turned out it was already the dip and just left us because we hadn't bought. Also, buying right now is a good preparation for next year's halving, so I am hoping for a positive year next year. I just need to work harder so that I can accumulate enough bitcoin.

People who keep worrying about when they should buy never made any sense to me at all. You should buy anytime you have the money to buy and that should be good enough, I know that it is not a great answer that some people are looking for, they want to buy at the "perfect" time and that makes sense if you know how to do that, if you are a great veteran trader and know when it will go down and when it will go up then you should be doing that but to be fair to everyone else we should also realize that it is not going to be that easy at all.

We are going to end up with something much better and bigger in the long run. Just realize that you may not be that type of person and just buy it whenever you can without worrying about the price.

If OP invested the amount during the time of his post, he would have been in profit of around 10% of his capital. If he is still holding his capital because he is waiting for bitcoin to drop lower then he might need to wait for some weeks or who knows it won't happen again. That is why if I am to be asked what is best for newbies, they should do a DCA (monthly or weekly if the investor has the funds to do it). Diversification of assets is also necessary IMO including crypto. He can invest 50% of his capital in bitcoin, 25% in ethereum and he can do research for potential altcoins and invest 5% in each of them.

It would be ideal if you knew how to DCA because this strategy is well-known and proven to be profitable. However, if you are having difficulty learning that strategy, I recommend that you buy part of your funds at 28k, and if the price falls below 28k, you buy more with some of your money. It's an excellent moment to buy when the price falls below your previous purchase price. Make sure to only buy if the price is starting to rise. Surely, you will profit more if the price makes new ATH.

True, long term investors are not worried about current prices to get into still they should not buy at the all time high, to maximize their profit they should do so at the low or middle. We know one thing that Bitcoin will cross it's all time high sooner or later but when we have to wait for that.

The good thing is that you can just keep buying at every low and sleep ok that for years. Sell at a high and then recycle the money. Of course it is a long term and painful process and it will not make you rich overnight.

Since you have $5,000, why are you sitting? If you place one trade every day you would earn a lot of money from here. And if you are weak in trading then definitely keep investing in USD and you will not get any improvement. If you had made bitcoins when the price of bitcoin was $15000 you would have more than halved your profit. Bitcoin may come to $20000 is not sure but Bitcoin is most likely to go higher. If you think the price will drop then you can wait. In my view, since you are investing for the long term, buy bitcoins from the instant market and hold them for the long term.

The people who hesitate to invest into bitcoin are the people who do not trust the market as well, which already tells me that they are almost always wrong. I know that it is not going to be simple to just put all your money into bitcoin in a single day, there is this worry about it, I understand that much.

However, if you also do not do it and yet keep checking the market then you are going to miss out on a chance to invest as well. Do it as quickly as you can in this market when it is under 30k so you could end up making a profit soon enough, when it goes back above 30k price. If you hesitate, if you doubt, if you are unsure about the price of bitcoin then we are not going to make any profit about it at all.
