Both crypto investment and crypto trading has a risks which you must come across and you must embrace the risk to become a successful in future. As a newbie, I will advise you to use the money that you can afford to lose, because crypto market is unpredictable, it can pump higher this year to allow long term traders and short term traders to earn well from their investment and dump next year to allow traders to buy and hold. Maybe the priority thing as a pre-requisite before engaging into a new investment is, obviously, we should know that chosen investment and not just we choose it because we see others are successful on that industry.

I don't see anything wrong if anyone wants to invest in this cryptocurrency and do trading for profit. This suggestion of mine has been mentioned here repeatedly in this forum and that is that a novice investor should first know where he wants to be counted here, is it short-term or long-term investor? Although, he can also do that at the same time but it is better to do just one first.
Now that you know where you belong, of course you should study it first while practicing trading here in crypocurrency, so you can see and feel how to lose and win in trading.

Trading without planning is like a blind man walking without a stick, it will be full of risks. Trading should use basic knowledge or some basic understanding, so you know where to start and end it. As I mentioned before, trading without knowledge will be more exposed to FOMO and some FUD traps, because there is no basic knowledge. Such trades will not last, and will continue to have losses.

My first advice for him would be to first try to learn the details of trading, from chart analysis to how to follow candlesticks. Then he should be updated about daily new news especially economic news and news so he can join different crypto community and also there are different websites to follow them. Then I will tell him to start trading on spot and in the beginning I will tell him to do short term trading choosing top pairs of Alt coin or it will be best to take bitcoin. I must suggest to him to select the stop limit option.

It is a good and a nice idea to choose trading as an online investment, but it will be better and nicer if only you will make out  time to learn about tradibg before venturing into it. This is because unlike other online investments that you can be profitable with little or no knowledge of it. In trading you need to have a good knowledge of it before you could make a profit from it.

Therefore make out yur time and learn how to trade before you commit your dime into trading, if not you will not only waste your time and resources you would also blow account.

for beginners my advice is never to trade in futures trading for example on Binance futures etc.,
but if you register on Binance and buy some coins for investment yes that is the right move,
of course you also have to understand technical and fundamental analysis before buying coins,
in our bearish season it will be difficult to get profit, but if the bullish season comes then you will become a millionaire.

Trading is not the same as investment, both are risky but trading is riskier. For anyone that wants to be a trader, my advice is to never depend on it, start small and use the amount of money that is lower than the amount of money that you can afford to lose to trade. If you continue to trade, you will know which step to take depending on how trading favours you. But just like gambling, never rely on trading, although trading is not gambling.

Yes you are right that as compared to trading the investment is very risky so instead of losing money through trading you can select a coin which will be less risky and invest money for longer time. Trading is better as a part time job but depending completely on trading will be risky and with passage of time when you get experience through ups and downs you will definitely be a winner as you will be familiar with all rudiments of trading and investment. Doing another business if one do not have any job and then use little amount for investment or trading will be better idea but do not make huge trading by using overall money.

They are too hasty in their steps, I'm sure they do it because they don't know, or they want to get profits quickly because they see from the influencers they follow or pass on their social media homepage.

I agree with you, and if those beginners want to quickly buy coins, then bitcoin is the right choice. They shouldn't hesitate with bitcoin, especially if it's in a bear market situation. Directly trading in futures or something else is tantamount to them expecting their money to burn sadistically in futures. Not even just beginners, those who are old and experienced have a big risk when they are in the future. We must really be prepared to lose our money.

I think newbies should focus more on investing than trading because trading requires a lot of experience. While in investment you can continue your investment even with less experience. And the risk here is also very less than in trading. Whenever the market goes down, the prices of almost all Altcoin  also go down and this is an opportunity for newbies to buy some coins, And if the market falls further, he should try to minimize his average by buying more. But do it with the understanding that it will be a long-term investment. And diversify their capital in different currencies so that the risk of loss is minimized. I think for newbies in bear market investing in a good project in the market can prove to be the best investment for the long term, And here the risk ratio is also very low.

I think investment is easier because you have to do nothing at all. I keep buying bitcoin as much as I can whenever I can and throw it aside, is it 29k today is it 25k today? None of that matters to me because I am holding for long term and all the newbies should do that as well.

What you don't know is always a beginning to everyone. And one must learn it to start from somewhere, even though you are a beginner and if you can trade well then I advise you to go ahead but be careful with the trading. Don't use big amount of money at the initial time. Even though you can trade well use like $10-20 to know how the trading will look like then subsequent times you can top up the amount gradually in every successful trading.

But if you are not good in the trading as a beginner then I will also advise you to Invest on bitcoin and continue your learning on trading until you master the trading then you can switch to the trading.

To be honest, I never think that trading is perfect for a beginner. Trading has high risk.So this is not apropriate for mostly beginner unless they are undersatnding more about trading crypto. I do agree with some opions here, Investment in crypto especialy Bitcoin may be worthy and this can be done by newbies. But, it is different from trading. I suggest for beginners to be more careful in deciding something that you don't understand. it needs enough understanding. learn it first until you are ready for trading.

Trading or investing will bring you good things only when you know all the information related to trading and then trade.  Open an exchange account, deposit some money and trade directly, not like that. First you need to understand the basics of trading. You need to understand the movement of the market. It can be seen that many times we invest or trade in different coins depending only on the words of others and on others. Which is very harmful for our money. 

You may mean that many people are more interested in investing online instead of that business even though they have a business. I don't think it is good to trade outside of the business because it involves a lot of risk. Because if a business can be established well, that business will help you achieve a lot without risk. Investing should be done when you have some extra money and you should invest the money that is not of use to you. Never make an impulsive decision to invest in online platforms by taking loans from others or selling your essentials. Because these will never bring benefits to you.

Risk is there in any sort of investment, for crypto we take it as a high risk asset because of the lack of regulation, anonymous creators and overall government stringency. But higher the risk higher is the reward so it gets the attraction from the public. Care needs to be taken by new users to secure their wallets and their devices, not to fall for HYIPs and shitcoins, among a lot many things. Online investment methods are out there but most of them are MLM/HYIPs only.

Bitcoin can be said to an online investment because it needs internet to transact and thus the OP must take care to be knowledgeable about the ways they can "lose" their bitcoin for starting to buy it.
