We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think?

Historically it is like that. It was like a repeating moment. But cryptocurrencies are volatile. Uncertainty is a sure thing here. Maybe altcoin season is coming but I have seen that this year we can't go back to history.

Some of the altcoins that rank high on CMC are not showing any significant movement in a positive direction. I see that the bull market is still far away.

being high ranked doesn't mean it will be high ranked forever. there are some cases that seemed to show that these high ranked coin just doesn't have the capability to climb back up again because
it was quite literally being abandoned by anyone who wanna invests.
people just prefer investing in newer coins that still have relatively low market capitalisation that just have better potential with disregarding all these formerly high rank coin so couldn't really determine the upcoming
altcoin season based on these high ranked coin, after all there's always change of position.

There are many old top coins that has shared the same fate as this. They can't succeed on climbing back into the ranks again because of the reason that new projects are better and has the modern solution to problems. Basically new coins revised and improve the old coins and the old coins can't catch up with the development of their competitor. Though there are old top altcoins that are still strong till today and competitors can't beat them knowing that they have a full support of their own community.

After the SEC's lawsuit against the binance exchange, I think we are about to enter. It was not bad, in fact, it gave a good buying opportunity for Cirus, I bought it at almost atl price.

Though this may just be a coincidence and the lawsuit against Binance has nothing to do with the all time low for any cryptocurrency at hand, though we are more likely to go more low even than this soon since we are approaching the period of high volatility and also in the same way, we can have the surge experience that the market price goes up as we keep getting closer to bitcoin halving, this will make many other cryptocurrencies to also rises and investing now is not a bad idea or decision to take.

If Binance comes out victorious in that case, I believe it will have a great impact in driving the price of cryptos up, but what usually determines or predicts the altcoin seasons is Bitcoin's Dominance, if the dominance is in favor of altcoin, which is moving significantly in the direction down, it means that altcoins will start to explode, but if moves in up direction Bitcoin Benefits while the altcoins take a hit.

I agree, there are lot more competitive altcoins in the market right now that can probably offer more profits after the hold compared to the leading altcoins that have been in the market for quite some time now and while it is a challenge to find those awarding coins, we should still be informed about the new ones so that we can really filter which coin have the capacity to explode in the upcoming years. But for the bitcoin, I doubt it will be replaced from its throne, it will be always the king of all the coins in the market.

Well... We can see that the market is recovering slowly, yeah we all are monitoring bitcoin price and we see the impact on altcoins
great thing is that we can see the trends and find new projects in the area we like
so when the market recovers you can pick a new project like neonlink and see what happens

Any crypto lawsuit is a negative news for the crypto and it can cause them to drop in price so I agree on you that it was only a co-incidence if the alts seem to be bullish after it and shows a sign of an altcoin season. I know it's weird because even BTC is also dropping but I guess that's better because at least we still have something to get even if BTC is down.

There is still something out there that can make us excite. Altcoin season or bull run can increase the volatility rate of the cryptos. We can also witness an often increase other than an often decline in their value. Some people can prefer it than seeing the coins remain to be stable for a long period of time because they think it's boring.

This is the eternal discussion with crypto currencies, the new ones have an owner, literally someone at the top, and makes all the money and we are paying them to create this token, which is automatically a scam to me, I do not see any other way, however those are the ones that keep on developing and getting better these days, look at top 20 and how many of them have a creator, nearly half of them has it.

Whereas old ones have no creator, so more decentralized, and not a scam, and legit, but because there is nobody developing it further, it takes years before we could see something changing and that seems to be the problem with them and unfortunately a serious issue.

I appreciate your perspective on "creator-less" and "creator-owned" cryptos, yet your binary divide feels a bit off track. A crypto endeavor with a known founder isn't an automatic red flag. Ethereum, under Vitalik Buterin's guidance, reshaped the entire crypto industry.

Conversely, absence of a creator doesn't bestow a crypto with unadulterated decentralization or authenticity. Decentralization pivots on governance, not on a project's face. True, inactive development rings alarm bells for aged, headless projects. But let's not discount open-source communities who passionately push these projects to new heights.

Right, altcoins move up after bitcoin stabilizes a bit. Altcoins the last few days are moving up but I won't consider it a sign of an altcoins season. Most altcoins are not even back to their usual prices a few weeks ago when the US SEC flexed its muscles again.

It is safer to consider this altcoins season next year which is the halving year of bitcoin. This year, altcoins can move up or down and it will be sensitive to big news especially when it comes to regulations. So let's just ride the swings or continue with DCA while we are nearly a year from the halving.

i think things just different this time around, though bitcoin hasn't even reached some all time high but some of the altcoins have been having some great time.
there are so many coins that have scored massive profits and increase like the second layer solution to ethereum.
but all in all only very few are actually having bullruns meanwhile the rest are just don't really have that bullrun and instead only following the path of bitcoin or in other words heavily influenced by bitcoin.
so I guess we haven't really reached the altcoin season yet as you said, and might be still a long way before we even encounter ones.

I think ALT season will come soonly because some rumors and market activity showing it . Passed five years so many coins tokens launch and some are fake some are great  but its only for true legend (alts) comes , iam prepared for alts coin season

I don't think so because there are still many top altcoin prices that haven't experienced a pump,
such as Ethereum, Cardano, XLM, or BNB, because altcoin season is marked by increases from top altcoins.
if the top altcoins haven't experienced a pump then we will never see an altcoin season.

Absolutely! Altcoin season is something that many traders and investors look forward to, and it often comes on the heels of Bitcoin's stabilization. Its not really the case. We have many altcoin bagholders who are hopeful that their bags will inflate in price during every bitcoin bullish trend but the altcoins themselves are inherently poor in terms of their development, use case and market making. Hence the bitcoin bullishness which should act like an ignition switch for them does not and hence their long term value is nil.

Many of the investors here have been into altcoins for many years and they all agree that it is for the short term only and quick exit at a small profit is sigh of relief.

The session has come to invest more in alt-coins, as the cryptocurrency market is on the Bear market which requires a good research to buy a good coin that has a future prospect, mostly alt-coins that has already established and to buy more reliable alt-coins for a period of time holding.

I think we are still far from the altseason, because the altseason occurs when Bitcoin price has almost reached its ATH price or after creating a new ATH price, but for now the market is undergoing a correction, so I don't think the altseason will happen in the near future, but I'm still hope that the altseason will occur in late 2023 or early 2024 at the time of Bitcoin halving.
