I hold bitcoin but not much, I day trade bitcoin daily for making some money out of it,
i thought i hold for 1 year after buying more bitcoin,
no one can predict the market and the question about smart money, they also don't know what will happen in long term means a month or so, who knows when what news comes out bad or good./just wanted some opinion.

We can't say for sure that the rise that bitcoin has been experiencing lately is a sign of the beginning of a bull market because there is still a possibility that we will experience another downturn, but if you are planning to buy bitcoins in anticipation of a halving event then just do it regardless of the amount of funds you can afford to to lose, bitcoin is the only coin that is guaranteed to outperform a bull market whenever a halving occurs, so I do not recommend investing your money into altcoins, especially if they are unpopular and do not have strong fundamentals.

Though the price of bitcoin has been adding up nicely, I still don't believe we are in a bullrun yet, if ever there is going to be a bull run against next year(2024) which is another bitcoin halving event, the bull run should likely start or begin around October or November this year(2023) I am not certain about this, it's just my prediction.

And talking about investing, I think buying bitcoin at this current price is still very cheap, but go with DCA, cus I think price might still good down, though not much, DCA will allow you the opportunity to buy more bitcoin at a lower price when the opportunity presents itself.

And my suggestion on altcoin to invest - I did suggest you take a look at Renec, join their community on all social medias, do your research and decide for yourself, this is coin I believe will outperform bitcoin and other major altcoins in the next bull run.

in my opinion, the altcoin that will be good in the future and accompany btc in the bull market is ethereum because ethereum is a very high quality altcoin.

Never ask for this kind of question if you are trying to invest. You have to do your own research on this. And pinpointing the exact price in the market is hard and could also be wrong in many situations. So learn to do it yourself. And if you are willing to invest in a short time like 6 months to 1 year, then you will have to trade to make the profit. Because Bitcoin (if you choose BTC as your investment plan) is a long term investment plan asset.

DCA is the best option to do. Don't put all your money in one single investment. With DCA you can buy at different price level and could also make some profits out of it. If you do your analysis wrong and instead of going up, it goes down, then you will make loss in a large amount. But with DCA, you can average that total spending and keep a steady value.

For myself, I don't like ALTS. So I am not going to give you any suggestion. Because they are centralized shit. Anything could happen to them despite your best effort on analysis. So I say stick with BTC.

Having said that you are looking into investing for 6months or a year period, however I don't know your real plans for this investment , Basically what you will be cashing out this money for. In my opinion, I suggest you should just forget about the 6month time and only focus on the year plan, even above if you would find it possible to hold before thinking about cashing out, reason is that Bitcoin's halving is coming up March next year, and immediately after that ,is historically followed by a bull run which will extends to 2025 ,so if you consider cashing out in 6months time, you definitely gonna miss the main event.

Go with DCAing, As this gives you more better buying opportunities in the market and much better rewards than getting in all at once.

Good point. In addition to that, Bitcoin is incomparable with any crypto . However, the profit is guaranteed but for the ones who have the patience and with good decision making. The timing in buying and selling are essential , if you are able to read crypto charts well and professionally, then it would be easier for you to trade and make the right decisions and of course it is never too late to invest in Bitcoin. Now the current price is still under $30, so don’t hesitate if you are planning to buy it.

You have missed the bottom, I have very little doubts of that, however not all is lost, the bull market does not have a huge strength at the early stages so you have a lot of time to accumulate all the bitcoin that you can during the next year, now you can use whatever strategy that you like, like buying the dip or doing DCA, just do not second guess yourself and invest in bitcoin when you have a chance, and when it comes to altcoins I think it is too soon to invest on them, take your time and only take your chances once the bull market is moving at a fast speed.

in my opinion you can buy at the current price, you can also place a stop - loss at 27000$, with that you will not lose much in case of a price drop, in case of a price drop you can go back to buy low and place stop-loss and then you wait 6 months or 1 year for the price to go up a lot, in this scenario if the price goes up, you would probably be able to make a profit of 50% or 100%, but don't wait more than that in 1 year
