Most of the suggestions are using a prominent centralized or closed-source platform. I don't blame that since I do aware most of them have good features and excellent conveniences. Nevertheless, If someone wants to seek a portfolio tracker that truly protects user privacy, I encourage all of you to utilize an open-source solution.

One application that I am aware of is Rotki. I know that some users who take their own privacy consciously are using this tool to manage their own portfolios. A lot of features(https://rotki.com/#features) are available to manage anything related to cryptocurrency usage. If anyone considering which app to use, it would not hurt to take a look at this tool.
Saluting your endorsement of open-source whizz-bangs like Rotki for crypto-management. Sure, they've got an edge on privacy versus the central command.

Still, privacy's not a done deal by merely flipping to open-source. Mind, using an open-source wizard doesn't mean you're privacy-proof, especially if digital manners and security steps stay old school.

Rotki, while packed with goodies, raises questions about user-friendliness and ease-of-use. Newbies might wrestle with its tech intricacies. Also, we gotta consider trust: Is the user crew big enough to back its dependability?

honestly i don't think there are any better apps out there, they could be having some gimmicks but thats it, whats matters most from these apps in general are the data they are presenting not some gimmicky features.
Features that attract attention are also necessary because many people will be interested in various kinds of features so that they can make it easier for users. Regarding the data presented, it must have been provided quite completely. There are many Portfolio applications that I tried, but only a few that I liked. and don't trust third-party applications that camouflage as Portfolio applications, even though they embed malware in them. this will be found in many unofficial applications

Agree, one can not gain privacy by simply switching to FOSS, but one would potentially be able to achieve it one step easier. In this specific case, the user is not utilizing any third-party dependent on the data storage mechanism. It is a fully local application, and the database itself is encrypted. It is certainly better than any other application, within that specific manner.

One that is inadequate is surely the conveniences, as among many other open source apps, sometimes, user-friendliness is lacking. In many cases, they would not be able to compete with other non-open-source solutions.

Regarding development, they have paid option to sustain financially. Also, everyone absolutely can contribute to and maintain the app on their own. The main point, the community and the developer are pretty much still solid to do the updates, as of now.

I use Delta application, because it is easy to use and very simple, then you can also see news and signals about cryptocurrency in Delta application or you can also use Crypto Blockfolio application, because Crypto Blockfolio is also very comfortable to use, but of course I prefer Delta rather than Crypto Blockfolio and both applications are available in play store and app store.

^ I have been used this also recently when Blockfolio was not available on the mobile app.
Delta is a popular portfolio-tracking app for both cryptocurrencies and traditional investments. It offers a clean and intuitive interface, real-time price updates, and a range of portfolio analysis tools. Delta supports multiple exchanges and allows users to sync their holdings automatically. It supports automatic syncing with various cryptocurrency exchanges and wallet addresses. This means that once you set up the integration, your portfolio balances and transaction history will be automatically updated. It saves time and eliminates the need for manual entry.

sounds good these automatic update towards the data of our investment without the need of manual entry is exactly what many have been looking for.
manual entry is just really waste of time and most of the time some people that tracks their investment just don't really want to update their investment manually in these portfolio apps.
thats why sometime when people uses these kind of portfolio app they just abandon it after few months.
I think every app should just have automatic sync with various exchanges out there so it will be easier.

I used to like the Blockfolio so much, but then it was acquired by FTX, and everyone knows what happened to FTX and then the Blockfolio is gone, now just like everyone else, I am using CMC Portfolio tracker.
when blockfolio tracker was quite popular, i installed it back in 2017 if it's not mistaken, it was very convenient application, easy interface to use it for everyone, i heard it now it was a product of ftx exchange,
now i am using coinmarketcap tracker, it's owned by binance, it think it's enough good crypto tracker apps right now.

CoinStats and CoinMarketCap are both popular cryptocurrency portfolio tracker apps that allow you to track your cryptocurrency investments in one place. CoinStats offers real-time prices of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and over 20,000 other cryptocurrencies from 300+ exchanges and wallets

I've been using an excel spreadsheet for years and I've finally decided to use a tracker app.
I've heard coinstats and coinmarketcap are good. I've also heard there is a new platform launching soon called unlockstats. What would people recommend?

CMC is the best choice. I have been using CMC for several years to track my crypto portfolio. It is very useful because in CMC you are provided with everything you need. Want to see price charts in 24 hours, 7 weeks, 1 month or even at all times, you can also monitor the social media of your project and you can also see how many exchange markets are serving your asset exchange,

I don't know about any other but honestly CMC in general already suffice for most of scenario honestly, moreover the fact that the other apps are also pulling data from there usually kind of speaks a lot.
but then again some other apps mentioned above also have auto sync feature which honestly is a great feature that make me rethink whether trying out other apps might be good idea.

Whenever I see people tracking their investments with spreadsheets, I'm actually amazed at your management skills guys. It is because it is no longer common today but then, it's great to see people that still does it manually because there's something that's beyond explanation why people still like using it. And based from everyone's suggestion in here, here goes the recap of trackers:
  • coinmarketcap
  • coingecko
  • Blockfolio
  • Delta app
  • Ledger app/live

But for those that have mentioned Blockfolio, it's now part of FTX and we all knew what happened to FTX.

The portfolio function is not very well implemented on coinmarketcap and coingecko, IMHO. If we take other crypto market monitoring services as an example, then dropstab has the best portfolio tracker in my opinion. You can also pay attention to the portfolio tracker on the cryptorank service.

I know about the two, coinstats and coinmarketcap, these two are best choices for the tracking cryptocurrencies, although I had also checked the third one i.e., unlockstats, but there website is expired and there were saying to create an account or logging through some another option, so, would like to recommend you coinmarketcap, and also, I will check for the unlockstats, if it goes online again, then I will mention it for you here, about its features.

When I started accumulating different cryptocurrencies, initially it was the etheplorer where I was checking the assets. Soon, I got may other tokens with other blockchain networks so realized how difficult to track all of them. Then I started using blockfolio and the experience was great. We can select the exchange and pair of holding currency. For example, eth USD and so on. It also provides overall value in BTC, USD or desired countries currency. Soon, the blockfolio was acquired by FTX and now its FTX portfolio tracker. Till today my overall experience is good and I have just logged in to track my assets without connecting to exchanges.

I recommend coinmarketcap app, because in my opinion coinmarketcap app is very simple and sophisticated, because I can see the profit/loss that I have, news about cryptocurrecy, see the movement of cryptocurrency matkets and discuss between communities, therefore I am very comfortable using coinmarketcap app and of course you can also collect diamonds in coinmatketcap app that you can redeem to rewards.

It is simple and many have been using it since they're a very popular website, they didn't have hard time in advertising it.

Unlike the other trackers, they're not known and that's why they don't have a lot of users compared to cmc app tracker. Some are just like integrated with your hardware wallets and that's like a direct tracker.

But for those simulations and trackers that don't require you to hold your assets there, use them as there's no problem at all with the usage of those and not required to deposit.
