I think you mean most crypto currency holders? Even then, I don't think we can say that most of the crypto currency holders prioritize spending their crypto holdings as payment in most of the things or services they need, I believe it's the opposite. Most of the people in this industry, regardless of financial status hoard crypto currencies as much as they can, especially Bitcoin. Although hoarding isn't ideal for this industry, it is what the majority opts for since there is a huge chance for profits depending on the type of crypto currency being held, and the higher the potential of the coin, the more likely it is that a person would hoard it most especially Bitcoin.

So don't go stressing about having that kind of mindset bro, you're not alone. Heck, even I am guilty of having such a mindset! lol. Still though, if convenient or if you think you already have quite a good amount of crypto, I still think that one should also spend them every once in a while, not only for self-satisfaction but to also contribute to the mass adoption that this industry desperately needs. Anyway, hope that this manages to shake off most of your worries about this kind of mindset bro.

We own bitcoin with our own purpose, others bought it just to spend it on something like transacting and want to experience buying things with bitcoin, and others owning it as an investment just want to hold it for a year to earn profit, which is where you belong OP. Your view is that it is better to hold it than spend it, but there are still others who want to spend it as they don't want it as an investment.

I have the same problem. I hate spending Bitcoin because I feel like I'm spending more than I should consider that Bitcoin will grow.

But in reality, it's okay to spend it. It's what it was created for. So if you spent bitcoin you can just buy more of it and keep holding. Or you can have 2 bags of BTC: one you will hold and another one you can spend.

That's good as an asset to keep it for the long term or as long as you want to keep it but not good as a means of payment, if the purpose of Bitcoin was also created as an alternative means of payment other than fiat then if the lovers only think about saving then the purpose as a means of payment is not achieved and this can make Bitcoin difficult to implement in many sectors. However, because it is yours, whatever you do is your right, but using it for certain things is also not a problem, in my opinion.

Where did you get that most people use Bitcoin transactions? That shouldn't be the case everywhere. Many people have yet to use BTC and always use the unlimited resource FIAT cash, and that's what they know. The majority are not using BTC, and people who are into BTC mostly are into HODLing and will not use it all. In some cases, they need something, and they need to have that source of cash.

I'm guilty of spending BTC. I did that and spent my Bitcoin buying goods because I was amazed that you could use it in some stores back then, but now I use it when I need to.

It depends on your needs and purposes, you can use bitcoin for any case as long as you feel satisfied. If you consider it like an asset, an investment, there's nothing wrong with accumulating it and not wanting to spend it. But there are still many people who prefer to spend bitcoins rather than hold them, they consider bitcoin as a means of payment and currency, and those people are not wrong or unwise. Bitcoin was originally created to be a P2P payment method, not an investment, I guess you didn't know that.

If you are spending BItcoin on opportunities that might yield later, then that's a risk that might reward you later. If you are spending it for necessities, well, you don't really have much choice than to pay for these necessities and it is a good thing that you are able to use Bitcoin to do so. If you are spending it out of leisure, wants and things you don't otherwise need to spend it on, then that is at the cost of your future gains that you would otherwise make by holding. The latter could probably be considered unwise.

If you're spending it on a thing that you need, then it is definitely worth it, especially if you don't have fiat. It is going to be now worth it if you're gonna spend it on things that you don't need at all. As much as possible, if you want to maximize your profit in Bitcoin in the long run, leave some fiat with you or have some extra job where you're going to get extra money so you won't be tempted to spend your Bitcoin.

I would say the opposite. Most prefer to keep them.
But I would not idealize the moment of holding in such a way; there are life circumstances when people need some funds to withdraw from their wallets. I don't think that most Bitcoin users actually spend rather than hodl Bitcoin, but I don't know how that could be accurately calculated and whether there is such research. Bitcoin can be used for various purposes, and plenty of people see it primarily as an asset, as a long-term investment. To me, Bitcoin is more of a currency that I treat as savings (so I spend/sell when I need to and hold when I don't) and as a currency to use for online gambling/betting. Spending money stimulates the economy and Bitcoin isn't an exception, but others like Dr.Bitcoin_Strange are correct that how to use Bitcoin is a matter of personal choice.

BTC is made for spending, when you have some challenges that require money at the moment, you can sell some of your BTC to solve the problems because, there will be opportunity for you to buy BTC and still hold again.  I don't like spending BTC when I have money I can use to settle the situations because, I will feel if the price increase higher at the moment. Since BTC is not a legal tender in my country, it's very difficult to see people spending BTC like the way they spend money because they believed that longer you hold BTC give you hope of winning something big in the future.

You are holding your bitcoins because you don't need to spend them. What's wrong here? Other spend bitcoin because they want to use it as a regular currency to make purchases. They find it easier and faster to use bitcoin. Or maybe they have been holding, and they want to spend some of their profit, so they end up buying something with their coins. It's up to your personal preference and financial goals. If your goal is to make profit in the long term, then keep holding. If your personal preference is to use crypto, then use it to make purchases.

It is your own decision on what do you want to do with your bitcoin. Many people choice to buy it for investment purpose, some other because they want to study it and know about its tecnology. Some other else use it for

buy and sell goods. So, it is really hard to say if it is wise or not, but, in my opinion, you should also keep a percentage of it for yourself for re-use it when price will be much higher in way to buy more goods than now.
