It's not possible for teachers to teach extra things outside of the official curriculum as long as the management doesn't allow them or gives them a heads up because that is not how a school or an institute work, teachers are not that much independent to implement or teach things from their own side only because they find them beneficial for the students. So if something like that is to be done, it can only be done by the heads of the institute.
A time will come when things like these will be included in the curriculums of schools and higher educational institutions because the world will understand that children will need to start learning the basics of these things from their initial education period so that they don't face problems later on.
I remember that in the past at school we had activities outside the curriculum that we often participated in and were more about learning about nature and organizational activities. Teachers can take opportunities outside of curriculum study hours to teach their students about bitcoin, but I'm not sure this can be properly organized considering that some countries still consider bitcoin a new thing, let alone have to introduce it to school students.
Once bitcoin learning comes into the curriculum it is something else and maybe the teacher doesn't need to look at study hours outside of the curriculum because it is their job to teach it. But in my opinion, this will be difficult to realize and may require a long process to achieve all of this, bearing in mind that the school curriculum cannot change instantly without approval from the authorities.
It does not need the head of the institute to teach Bitcoin, all it need is the approval from the head and once approved, the plan to teach bitcoin will commence.
This is more an initiative in my opinion and for anyone who wants to teach bitcoin without the approval of any party, unless they are trying to teach bitcoin to their students during study hours. But if there is approval from the principal even better and teachers can see free time to teach students about bitcoin.
