Well, I made it easier - I installed Windows and installed Linux in parallel, now I have two systems and use them depending on my needs

What I think you are meaning is a dual-boot. You must install windows first.

Gaming PC usually uses Windows, but if you REALLY want to use Linux for whatever reason, I'd recommend Steam OS.
https://store.steampowered.com/steamos/buildyourown

You should be able to play lots of games, but sure some games are currently not compatible.
See here for compatible games https://www.protondb.com/explore
CS GO is native so it should run perfectly.

Yes, you can install Linux on your PC if you primarily use Brave, Chrome, and Counter Strike. These programs are available for Linux, so you should be able to continue using them without any issues.

There are a few downsides to consider when switching to Linux. Here are some potential issues:

Compatibility with some software: Some software may not be available for Linux or may not work as well as it does on Windows. However, most popular programs, such as the ones you listed, have Linux versions available.

Learning curve: If you're not familiar with Linux, there may be a learning curve as you adjust to the new operating system. However, many Linux distributions have user-friendly interfaces that make it easy to get started.

Hardware compatibility: Linux may not work with all hardware configurations. However, most modern hardware is supported by Linux, and you can usually check compatibility before you install.

Overall, if you're willing to take the time to learn Linux and are comfortable with the software you use being available for the platform, it can be a great choice for a primary operating system.
