i sometimes wonder that we pay money for a just ledger entry, it seems so simple in this way, but seems very risky that just a ledger entry for michael saylor's billions of dollars.
i think in this way because i don't have technical knowledge. but it has so many advantages also, like saving taxes, security, anonymity, profit, etc.

Isn't the balance on your bank-account also just a ledger entry?

it is centralized i know, don't start that discussion.
but it can be reversed if something wrong happens.

you got me wrong, people who have no technical knowledge are thinks in this way that nothing physical involved and risking money for a digital entry.
it becomes hard to convince people 'entry' way, but easy in 'coin way' .

you got me wrong,..
I guess you got me wrong.

I didn't talk about de-/centralization, just about ledgers.

You said "bitcoin is just a number in a ledger, why do we pay money for it?",
I said ""the money on your bank-account is also just a number in a ledger".

That one of those ledgers (the blockchain) is decentralized and the other (the bank-DB) isn't, doesn't make a difference.
