You're right the ones who try to chase their losses tend to lose even more by placing many new bets. A good a stable gambler would stop gambling for a day or more if he/she faces many losses in a row because the consistent losses aren't good for us and if we have more than 4-8 losses in a sequence then we should stop gambling on that particular day in order to avoid further losses.
