1. Plagiarism is plagiarism every where. If you have copied someone else post and posted as your own, that's plagiarism. If you use a source link in the post, that's not.
2. Ban without any more consideration unless you are a significant asset to the forum.
3. To ensure users writing original post, ask them to write their own.

Plagiarism is everywhere not only here but also outside on this forum if you have knowledge about SEO and a blog site you should know that plagiarism content won't be able to rank up on the SERP and your site will be banned on Google and won't be able to index any content from your blog.

It's the same here you will be banned if you post plagiarism content without proper credit to the content owner. The reason why they do not allow plagiarism is that it would also affect the forum in the future sample if Google detected that there are lots of plagiarism on this forum then they penalize all content/posts that were recently indexed, will be removed from the SERP or the forum will be banned for indexing any content to Google.

1. Copying an article of someone and post it as yours is generally people tend to follow on bitcointalk
2. Permanent ban.
3. Don't copy anything from internet to post it here, you can take reference before posting but don't take credits for someone else content.
4. Pictures that seems the possible exception to my knowledge.

Plagiarism is just that you don't copy someone else's content and pose it as your's because you are not the original author of that so you are violating the forum rules.The simple way is to add source link at the bottom or write that content in quotes as follows:

To answer you question how do we avoid it is that you write your own and participate in discussion about which you have idea and knowledge.Suppose someone is asking about wallet and you have knowledge so contribute in your words what you want to share but on topic rather then searching for some articles and then writing the same thing you found over net as your posts.There is no chance that what you will write match exactly to someone else's content as there is difference of words and explanation.So gain knowledge and write your original posts if you want to avoid it.
