Back to the main subject, I have a question: can anyone give a clear definition of what is exactly a web3 casino? I read all the of the above replies and it seems that we are arguing about something that we don't even know what it is!
As per my experience, any casino which allows logging in via metamask or any other wallet that supports walletconnect, claims it is a web3 casino. Is this right?

That will be part of it, the most important part would be the fact those casinos do not ask for your personal information no matter what, after all that would be the best way they could have to attract players to give them a chance and for the casino to keep those gamblers as their customers.

However, we know many of those casinos which claimed to be decentralized eventually asked their customers to identify themselves, and if that is the case then there is no point at all in using them, after all we have casinos which have been around for years and which have a reputation that precedes them.

I will like to say that, any casino that claims to  be decentralized and yet, ask users to submit their personal individual document for verification , this simply means the casino was never decentralized or is not completely decentralized as the casino admin claim.

It is funny to see this kind of casino and should be avoided at all costs.  Pretending to be decentralized when in fact they are a centralized platform is defrauding their player for their own benefit.

We have such casino as owl.games, it's one of the first casino I came across and claimed to be web3, gamblers can enter the casino and connect their wallet to bet or play slot quick alright, but after looking deep into the casino and its mode of operation, I discovered its not a complete decentralized casino, but most part of the casino is highly centralized, which is why they can ask users to submit their personal documents for kyc verification.

Casino with third-party game providers such as Slots will never be decentralized because the provider itself is already a centralized entity.  So how could a decentralized platform get the service of centralized service and claim that they are decentralized?  I can agree that they could be using web3 technology but their blockchain system is possibly integrated in a centralized system making the casino itself a centralized gambling platform.

That's right, a web3 casino is supposed to be fully decentralized and has smart contracts to manage all the operations like on-chain betting, decentralized games, and no deposits and withdrawals since everything is done on-chain. If a casino doesn't have all these features and still claims to be a web3 casino, they are simply lying to their users and users also don't know what a web3 casino is.

Currently, there are only a few platforms that have these features where you connect your wallet and bet on games with your wallet balance directly without having to create an account or sign up, and the winnings will probably just be added to your wallet balance as well.

A decentralized casino would be in control of the site which is a plus.  But there is also a risk that when a wallet is connected there they can use different types of malware to scam all the funds if someone gets into the scam site.  On the other hand, if we open an account on a web2 site, it is possible to remember the email and password given there, but when we use the web3 site, if we open a new non-custodial wallet for our security, it is very troublesome to store the private key or security phrase of that wallet.  So I feel comfortable using web2 casino site

The security basically depends on the people running the casino, if a team has evil intentions and aren't here to do legit business, even if it's a web3 platform, it would still not be secure and there will always be the possibility of you losing your funds in some way even if you are not sending them to the platform directly but only connecting your wallet to the platform, but they will have a way to get access to your funds once you connect it successfully.
