Generally, if the topic of discussion is Bitcoin or crypto-related, you won't have issues commenting in other people's threads or creating your own. Make sure you post your discussions in the correct subs to avoid unnecessary deletions or making the mods move them to the appropriate section. There are explanations under each board for what kind of discussions they are meant for on the landing page.

The restrictions you have, like posting in the Ivory Tower or Serious Discussion, isn't important. No one uses or hides important Bitcoin topics there anyway. You are probably going to avoid those subs if you reach a higher rank that makes you eligible to post there in the future, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you everyone for your candid opinions I sincerely appreciate. As a newbie, I've decided to follow laid down principles of this forum so that is why I tend to ask questions and seek clarifications wherever I'm somehow confused in the forum.
Whilst asking questions when stuck is good, mind you that the forum doesn't have too many rules or principles that if broken can get a user in trouble, the most obvious rule that would cause a problem for a user is posting plagiarized contents and posting malwares too, every other rule is somewhat minor and if broken you'd basically just be corrected, but plagiarism and posting malware would get you banned.
part of the forum's mission to be as free as possible.
...
Limiting newbie participation is very harmful for a community.
The post above is from the forum's administrator, so just post as freely and original as you can, your participation in this forum isn't limited in anyway. Just garner knowledge and discuss about Bitcoin and its whatnots.

Hello everyone.... I've seen handful of boards and threads that I can make reasonable contributions to by sharing my knowledge about some of the topics that are being discussed in these boards and threads but as a newbie, I don't wanna make unnecessary mistakes and that brings me to the question of "Are there boards and threads I'm not supposed to post in as a newbie"?

Don't post on the lending section and ask for loans so many newbies are doing this and getting bad feedback so avoid this section only do so when you reach a higher rank and you establish a good reputation here in Bitocintalk, and another is boards or sections that you have no knowledge of, many newbies are busted because they are posting topics that are out of range.

The sincere opinions of everyone here will surely help me in shaping me to become a responsible and good member of the forum
Being newbie you're not restricted from posting anywhere apart from the two boards but when you see a discussion and reply option then don't hesitate to do it as long as you feel you can add some weigh to that discussion, bitcointalk is where the real freedom of speech is available but don't take it for granted and be responsible as you say.

The only restriction is you can't post in a row within 5 minutes of time frame but it's negligible since it's going to take more than 5 minutes to create a post which is not a spam.

You can post a reply to any board or thread that you open as a newbie and discover has the reply button available for you. Additionally, don't feel pressured to reply on topics you have no idea about in order to make more posts, this is not allowed on the forum because it will only encourage spamming, which is a serious offense that must be avoided by all users in order to avoid punishment.

I also felt the same way in my early days in the forum. But if you are sure there are relevant knowledge you can share in a thread, the best option is to share it. This is because it will help the members of the forum and also increase your reputation. Being scared of making mistakes is normal but we all make mistakes. The only difference is that some people learn from corrections, while others become offended and fail to learn. We all are here to learn and learning involves mistakes and corrections. I have made some mistakes in the forum and some cases the response of members are unfriendly but I overlook the unpleasant words and learn from some useful responses. Just ensure that what you are posting will be beneficial and forget about the aftermath. Wishing you all the best.

I think that the restrictions to archival and serious discussions to newbies makes since. Because why open a place that the technicalities are beyond you. A newbie will likely make a fool of himself in those places. I like the process of growth where someone will start from the basis and develop to the highest stages.

Except in a case  where a newbie us asked if he has any experience in the advanced topics. As I emphasized earlier, I like to learn from the basis to the top, unless it is absolutely necessary for Mr to jump to the top.

Well apart from the restricted boards which are the archival and serious discussion boards, i don't think there are other boards where a newbie is restricted.
But rather than bother yourself  over boards you're not allowed to post, I think you should  focus more on learning and making meaningful contributions  on the boards you can post in especially  the beginners  and help board which which the board you can easily get all the needed answers to your curiosity  about the forum as a newbie.

You should also know that there are threads which are self moderated and you shouldn't be shocked if your post gets deleted  over there as there are already  principles  guiding  those threads by the op and one reason your loat might be deleted  is if its off topic or regarded as spam or shit post.
Welcome to the forum and I hope you stay for a longer time.

Everyone is allowed to make post in any thread they like but you must be careful when writing so you will not write rubbish that will make moderator to delete your posts or ban you if they noticed that you had been writing shit posts for long and you never improved at all. That is when you are going to get what you never planned for. You might be given a one week or two week ban just to warn you about the way you are posting so that you can improve with time. But if you do not improve over time and people start reporting your posts, that means you might end up losing the account because of the way you post.

technically no board is out of bounds for beginners. However, there are some boards that may be more difficult to understand or require more in-depth knowledge of certain topics to contribute effectively. For example as others have mentioned above, Serious Discussion and Ivory Tower should only be for high quality posts and not for spam. These two boards are designed to address more serious and complex topics, thus requiring more focused and in-depth contributions.

Advice to you OP As a beginner it is important to choose a board that matches your interests and knowledge. Try to start with more general or easy-to-understand boards and then gradually expand to more specific or complex boards.

Boards, nope, you can post in every board but, there is a sub board where you can't post as a beginner. That sub board is the ivory tower.

The forum  somewhere everyone, anyone can come and be free, do what they can without any sentiment but, your only free as long as you play by the rules. You can't get this wrong as second chnaces are difficult to come by.

Where ever your good, you can start and have your focus there. Where ever you ain't grounded in, you can as well give learning a chance. There are loads of information on the forum, use that and build your vocab.
